      Which AHA cleanser do you use/love?

    • @Marsolan
      @Marsolan 4 года назад +3

      @@awomanofacertainage1993 hello :) mederma advanced dry skin therapy facial cleanser (alpha hydroxy acid).
      If you have sensitive skin or if you did not use aha before start sing it once a week and slowly increase. Be sure to follow I instruction to apply to dry skin, massage and then inactivate acid with water. I love it. I use it just a few days a week now and mostly before shower with the goal to gently exfoliate. On most days I use oil cleanser to remove make up. My skin is dry, mature, sensitive, fare. Good luck.

    1. Stop mixing different products and applying. You can layer them instead.
    2. Higher percentage is not better. They are more irritating.
    3. If an ingredient is in the end (low percentage) doesn't mean it won't work.
    4. Using multiple retinoids together leads to irritation.
    5. Skincare is a lifestyle. Wear sunscreen. 😀

      same! None of these great products were available in my twenties, the only product was sulphur solutions, and doctors didn't even care very much about the distress caused by chronic acne. I was told to just put methylated spirits on my spots to dry them up! I had no idea that acne prone skin still needs to be moisturised. It wasn't until I saw a dermatologist in my late twenties who put me onto Cetaphil and oatmeal baths.

    My favorite Dray lesson regarding actives has been to use the lowest dose to get the job done. I always thought stronger was better, until she had mentioned in a video that it’s not the point to go the most damage/use the strongest active. It’s more practical to use a less potent active that way we have wiggle room to escalate should our skin really need it. Love this video!! 👏🏼

    Happy Thursday Dr Dray and everyone. This was absolutely fantastic 👍 This is so true . Thank you for keeping it real. 2 years ago I was recuperating from a broken ankle and 2 surgeries for it. I would flip the tv around and see shopping channels. I would get a kick out of the people telling you to mix 4 or 5 serums all together and saying you can layer it all . The best was when callers would call in saying after one use of this their wrinkles, acne or whatever was gone in a day. Have a wonderful day love to mom and Tybee 😀😀😀💖💖

    Just want to thank you for helping my teen's skin. It's so clear now unlike just a few months ago. Of course no one really gets to see her clear skin due to wearing a mask, but I'm really excited for the next school year.

      What did you do to help them? I still have acne and now my daughter is getting it and i hate it for her. So many products out there that are so irritating.

      Amanda W Same here, my skin is now better but watching your own teen go through acne is much harder. I have her double cleanse and use the following products depending on whether it's day or night: Paula Choice BHA 2 percent gray bottle,
      La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo 5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, Niacinamide, Cerave PM Moisturizer, and spot treat with sulfur, La Roche Posay Adapalene, Some By Mi Miracle Cream, plus sunscreen. Skincare by Hyram is a great channel, Dr. Dray appeared on his channel. When her skin is more sensitive or red, we stop and just moisturize. I wish the best for your teen!

    Dr Dray has helped me keep my skincare routine super simple and not spend so much money on useless products. The only thing I really spend money on is trying out different SPF which I think is worth it to find the best ones for my skin type that I enjoy reapplying. It’s the only thing I use during the day.

    Dr. Dray! Awesome myth bust! What I get a lot from other people is that you shouldn’t mix brands. If you wear cerave then you shouldn’t use Neutrogena. For the longest time I thought it was true. It took me learning more about ingredients that I understood it was ok. But people swear it’s not good for your skin.
