The Babyhawk O3 is finally here. This is a small, light weight (sub 250 grams with the right battery) 4S FPV quad that is a TON OF FUN to fly! The Babyhawk has been around for a while and this one makes one major improvement with the DJI O3 digital FPV unit. It is fast agile, and captures amazing, stabilized 4K footage without the need for an external camera - you can get great footage straight off the DJI O3 camera. EMAX also released an Express LRS module for some older radios so that you can enjoy the performance of ELRS without needing a new radio.

Again! Another great review! Like you, the baby hawk 2 HD has been my go to in most favorite quad to fly for all of the reasons you've mentioned. When the 03 system came out I jumped on board pretty quick . I installed the 03 system on my baby hawk 2. It was a little tricky and I had issues at first getting rid of the vibrations going into the camera. I did some minor modifications to separate the front standoffs a little bit and also using some rubber grommets on the camera screws. If something happens to this quad, I will definitely be ordering the baby hawk 03.

Great video, Kelly!! I guess this is the replacement for the TinyHawk Freestyle! I kept waiting to pull the trigger on the freestyle 2 hoping they would come out with the TH FS 3 for Christmas. Taa Daa! enter the Baby Hawk!!
Looks pretty interesting 👍 I've not yet ventured into conventional FPV drones yet but this one looks like a good little freestyle learner.

I’m thinking about getting it, would it bind to my DJI Controller 2 and the V2 goggles without ELRS? Maybe if I get it hopefully I #DontSmashIntoSomething oh and it’s nice to know it’s #KellyCertified
I don’t think you can bind it to the DJI FPV Controller 2 because of the way it is wired. I think it could be fixed, but let me check with EMAX and see.
I just looked at their page, and they have a version without the ELRS receiver, just DJI plug and play (the drop-down menu has this option). So if you were to buy that one, you'd be good to go!

Can you believe I am still flying analog? 🤦🏻😂 it’s only because I have FPV on quads, airplanes, trucks, etc. my wallet can’t handle the switch and I can’t narrow down the toys. 😫

The Babyhawk series is fantastic. I love my analog Babyhawk 2. Sadly, after two years, the camera just died. I'm thinking of putting HD Zero in it. 🤔

I fly strictly sub 50 gram and hd is not an option for me as I cut every gram I can for best performance. I understand hd on 4inch and above but why on anything smaller designed on a diet for best performance? Mabe for cinematic flying I just placed an order today and wait until you see what I have coming to my channel 😉
Sounds good! Agreed that it's a weird blend of small / light and "cinematic" - but this one does a pretty good job with doing both.
You need to get the UV filter or ND filters to protect the camera, filters are way cheaper and easier to replace then the camera. Looks like a great quad though. I'll have to try it sometime
Agreed about the filters - I have some Flywoo filters that I can put on it. Hope to fly with you again soon Kai!

Tough choice. I like the Croc Baby, but right now, having the O3 on the Babyhawk is tough to beat!

Looks like a great little quad, Might be a good option for me to get back into fpv. I still have the fatsharks but would like an affordable digital option. Mindfiled is two days away and I'm not sure I can make this year.

@@readysetdroneHallo. Do you record in the Emax Babyhawk O3 or in the Googles? Has the Emax Babyhawk O3 one SD Card Slot? Greatings from Germany...
You can record on either one or on both. The quad has a micro SD Card slot. The biggest difference is that the recording in the goggles is not stabilized by "Rock Steady" EIS.@@dortmunder27xxx
Any issues with failsafes with the ELRS antenna in the frame like that?
I'm not sure if the placement is the issue, but we've had a few random failsafes with ELRS on this quad over the last several months.

Did emax happen to mention if/when they were going to have just the frame available. I've got all the parts, just waiting for a lightweight 3.5" frame with no props in view to put them in.
We didn't get any info on that. They are usually very responsive if you want to send their support team an email to ask.

I haven't tried, but if I remember correctly, I don't think there are enough UARTs available.
