@Conn Benn ...erm, if someone disagrees with something you've stated, then your 'fact' isn't objective. Your opinion is exactly that, no better or worse than anybody else's.
While we may agree that the Mona Lisa is better artistically, it's not much good if you want something for your wall. I think security at the Louvre might object to your taking it home.
What counts as superiority has to be defined before hand, or you just end up making meaningless statements. I'm sure you'd agree that your crayon scrawl would make better kindling - as would the Louvre. I'm sure they'd enthusiastically burn any daubing you presented them with.
You haven't said why FO4 is so bad for you, so your statement is meaningless. Not wrong, it can't even reach the dignity of wrong.
Meanwhile I look at the many many hours of enjoyment I've had playing it and can reject your assertion on that basis. No reasonable person can expect agreement for an unsubstantiated claim against direct experience.
There's a lot to recommend in Fallout 4: the weapon and armour crafting is superb. Boston is beautifully detailed and a delight to explore; you even feel vertigo at high altitudes. The settlement building is captivating, especially when you've mastered the glitches. It's fun to assign your settlers to tasks and plan trade routes. The combat is good, whether or not you use VATS. The power armour feels really solid and shares the same sort of modification system as the weaponry. The jet packs are fun to use without over powering your character. Sections of the maps are true works of art, like the Glowing Sea, which is truly unsettling to traverse.
It seems to me that you've just fallen into line with the fashion for bashing Bethesda, because you lack imagination to think for yourself.
"No melee enemy has an underwater attack"
And there's a prime flaw with Fallout 4. They made a huge chunk of the map be deep water, and not a single enemy. What about the interesting morphed dolphin-like animals washed up on the beaches. Or a ghoul-whale. Or even little fish. It was a perfect opportunity for them to add that type of stuff and instead decided not too. And before someone says "They had to scrap quests that had underwater stuff", I'll raise a counter-point: They had a dlc about an island, and even that didn't add underwater stuff.
Skyrim at least had slaughter fish, they could attack from water, but they were annoying because it was impossible to fight back from water and if you left water to fight them they'd leave the area because they couldn't path to you, it just make them annoying, I figure they may be trying to avoid that.
Bethesda's engine is very limited. Wouldn't be surprised if that was one.
Apparently they couldn't even get ladders working properly
Edit: I just remembered slaughterfish. Please ignore

I have a different interpretation of the lighthouse sunken ships. Lighthouses are placed on particularly dangerous stretches of shoreline in order to keep ships from crashing into rocks and sinking. It makes sense that the lighthouse keeper would have a salvage ship for the occasion that a ship did happen to sink. My theory is that the ships strung along the coast there were from sailors who were out at sea when the war started. When they tried to return to the mainland they ran ashore because the lighthouse was no longer operating.
I was thinking that when the nukes went off in the glowing sea, the same EMP that caused the plane there to crash took out the lighthouse.
John, all I'll say is there is a lot you missed underwater. Although the only way for you to find out about them now is to look up a full list or guide or to turn off water and search every corner for a good deal of time. As Jon demonstrates a lot of underwater POIs are marked by things above water. And if it were real you would likely not have good visibility in the Fallout world bodies of water.

@@blarg2429 The greatest visibility would be to have no water, if you want to break from expectations derived from real experience of the world. In the game there is land, and there is water. In the real world there is land, and there is water.
@@Safetytrousers That's a strawman. What I'm arguing for isn't the avoiance of realism at every possible turn, just that fun should take precedence over realism where the two conflict, as they do in most aspects of Bethesda's game design other than water. Ohhh ok, I was a bit confused for a moment
If you have the highest Sneak perk when you sneak nothing sees you anyway so that proves nothing. Plus you can't get 10000 Agility playing the game. Changing Agility from 1 to 10 doesn't have an affect.
@@nessuno1984 no, you can't get it naturally and this was never about getting it naturally. its about how agility affects the action of sneaking, not the perk. It doesn't matter that getting all Sneak perks makes you almost undetectable, as that was not what I was talking about. I was saying that even if you had NO RANKS in Sneak, but used the console to set your agility to a stupid high amount you would be practically undetectable. No mention was made of actually trying to achieve such a high agility in normal gameplay. I was never saying it would have practical effects.
Changing agility from 1 to 10 doesn't have much of an effect because its small enough that I'm confused why Bethesda even added it. They might of just forgot to make it useful, wouldn't be the first time. That or they deliberately added something that does almost nothing.

This was fun! I've got the Clear Water mod on and have AquaGirl perk and have done all sorts of swimming in nearly all the bodies of water of the Commonwealth. After seeing this I'll have to hit Far Harbor!
There are a number of pipes that come from the settlement that in the past, a sewage treatment plant also. I have a feeling that the people of this time used the ocean as a dumping ground for other waste - industrial, residential, and nuclear - and whatever else they didn't want to dispose of properly.
On some of the terminals dotted around, there is reference to polluted waterways and lakes, and at the Oceanarium, or whatever it's called, the terminals talk about there being a demonstration planned against the pollution of the ocean and how creatures seem to be mutating. So I'm pretty sure those mysterious pipes are just showing man doing his usual thing - not caring about the environment around him!
This was great video and I salute your wonderful imagination!

Jon! Hypothesis: At about 28:50 -- when you're talking about the pipes and pontificating on how the pipe got broken on top of that boat -- if you look at the compass marker -- you're looking west. The bomb went off in the south -- so it stands to reason -- the boat was hit in the front-ish part by the blast wave in roughly the position it was traveling -- sank backwards (presumably from the ensuing tidal wave) -- and took out the pipe with its con tower on the way down.
Fallout wiki says Agility affects sneaking for what that's worth.
Agility absolutely does affect sneaking. I always play sneaky characters and rarely bother upgrading the sneak perk because getting more agility is usually a better option. If you have 4 agility getting the 25% sneak perk is exactly the same as getting an extra agility point, but the agility gets you more AP too.

I think a lot of complaints that happen towards Fallout 4's ending is how everyone has similar purposes for their end goals, while in New Vegas they were more than just "I hate ___ so we should kill them." That isn't to undermine that New Vegas had LOADS of nostalgic bias surrounding it and bits of lazy design scattered about.

Also, never liked that you could talk down Lanius. I always saw him as bloodthirsty maniac who wouldn't care about strategy or tactics. In my mind, Lanius wouldn't care if he *should* attack New California, he would only care that he *could*. Just telling him "it wouldn't be a good idea" shouldn't stop him.
@@silenttripmine4230 But the NCR ending still involves you walking across the damn, fighting the Legion, raiding Lanius' camp, either fighting him or talking him down (which shouldn't be an option), and getting praised by Oliver.
Also, I prefer the post-game repercussions for factions over the slides. If you side with the Minutemen, they move into Diamond City and start setting up checkpoints across the land.
If you side with the Railroad, you find them sending Synths to your settlements because they know it's safe there.
If you side with the Brotherhood, they send kill teams to hunt down monsters across the world and will even hunt down X6-88 if you have him as a companion.
If you side with the Institute, all Synths in the game become friendly and will help you out when you need them.

In this episode, Jon comes up with wild theories to explain a bunch of wrecked and sunken boats, forgetting that the great war caused terrible storms (not to mention ongoing radstorms) that were far more likely to be the cause of those crashed ships than "lighthouse keeper conspiracy". The boats you find that haven't sunk were almost certainly all used by survivors. To say that the salvage tug at Kingsport lighthouse, and all those wrecks around it, have been there since before the great war is ludicrous.
Another more reasonable explanation: There's a reason why a lighthouse was built there, but now it's not operating anymore, but people continued to use boats anyway.

Dollars to donuts you grabbed the items at the top of the tower at Bunker Hill. The magazine is free, but all the other stuff is stealing. I don’t how they see you, but they do nearly every time.
Aquaboy/Aquagirl is a very good choice of perk for a YOLO run. Water is basically a danger-free highway and it removes all the rads from the random little bits of water (and the very large bits of water) on the map
Jon is cutting it close on that October deadline.
I can’t wait for YOLO, sooooo bloody excited!!!
Finally discovers the little plane crashed on the island. Completely fails to find the unique helmet that goes with it. Perception -1....
you can get to the atom cat's at level 1 with aqua person perk, and steal a set of T-60 power armor from them. it's a long walk home. but t-60 at level 1 is huge.
