How does the scan tool communicate with the bcm if the ignition won’t come on when no key detected in 2017 escape titanium smart key?? I’m trying to program but No communication with factory software. Tips??
I can Id the junker by vin if I jump the ignition relay underhood in the fuse box. But no communication with the rfa module at all. Ids pings all module on live network test but rfa module it doesnt
Reading in service information first thing that happens in process is you step on brake hit start button that in turn makes rfa module send out low frequency signal to the antennas to “activate” the key fob. Key fob “activates” sending high frequency to radio transceiver under headliner. Radio transceiver sends information back to rfa rfa sends to bcm to exit “off” mode. So I guess I’m going to have to start at square one and see if the car is even looking for the keys first and go from there. I tested the key fob put it in the slot of the key machine and it reads the information. Topdon t ninja 1000.
It ended up being the bcm. Had no signal from keyless antenna in center console. Checked powers and grounds to rfa module missing power from fuse 78. Bcm powers fuse directly. Have about 4 hours in it from removing center console to checking everything

Check fuses in the car. Do you have communication with any modules on the diag side of your tool? My guess is it's a car issue, not a key issue.

I might put a scope on one of the antennas in the car to see if the car is Even looking for the key when I push the start button
Did you verify it has powers grounds and communication. I'd get the scope on the comm line(s).
