Not really -- that is about $53000, and there have been nighttime Showcases well over $100000.
(And even a few daytime "special show" Showcases in the area of about $80-90K.)

I always thought that the nighttime price is right episodes were great. Holly sure looked fabulous back then 😉☺️. Both showcase contestants look great. I wonder what they look like today. Past price is right episodes are great to watch. Great memories ☺️. Thanks 👍.

On a related note, during one playing of the Race Game, they had season tickets to the Lakers, Rams, Dodgers, and Kings available to be won. If I'm correct, the contestant got two of them correct. This was in the early 80s, and the contestant had no idea what sport the Kings played. Not too many people did until later in the decade.

This was Bob Barker’s last show for the syndicated nighttime version, because he was focused on the CBS daytime version where he was going strong. The syndicated nighttime version did not return until 1985 where they brought in the late Tom Kennedy to host “The Price Is Right” for one season until 1986, and again in 1994 for the syndicated version with Doug Davidson with a different set, but not all that great. The syndicated nighttime version was originally hosted by Dennis James during the first years while doing the first season daytime version in 1972.

@@Musicradio77NetworkI kind of feel like The “New” Price is Right from 1994-1995 gets a bad rap because a.) It dared to be different, and b.) Bob and other people on the long-running daytime version would run down Davidson’s version every chance they got, a very unprofessional move, IMHO. I dug the differences for the most part, from 3 contestants in Contestants’ Row, Burton Richardson as a great announcer who should have taken over from Rod Roddy on the daytime version after his death, that smooth jazz cover of the theme, even *The Price **-is-** WAS Right* (used more often than not as TPiR daytime usually taped at the same time as Davidson’s show; thus the big wheel most often was not available for the classic Showcase Showdown format on his version), and the single player Showcase with the Range Game-esque format for the bidding portion. I don’t know how hot a take it is, but I think it’s rather criminal it only lasted ≈4 months.

I think the time they included the Rams tickets in the package was during a playing of Danger Price.

It's tough guessing these old show prices. Back then, everything like appliances and furniture was made in America, so in 2023, we look at a clock radio and think $20, when back then it cost $150, and you'd take it to a fix bit shop if it broke and you'd keep it for 30 years. But food prices were ridiculously low. Now a can of soup costs $2.50 to $3.00. Back then they were 10 to 15 cents. Back then, my dad had one job as a truck driver for Portland Bottling making $9/hour. With that, my parents bought their first house, sent my Mom through nursing college, had two cars and raised two kids.

    OK...
BTW, that second showcase was intriguing. It looks as though those four tickets are for events in California (not much of a showcase there), and then you find out that it's an international holiday (plus the car). I wonder if the baseball game was hosted by the Giants or the Fighters.
P.S.: Johnny, even though they moved to Anaheim, they were still called the Los Angeles Rams.
