I like that this was one of the only teardowns that showed how to get to the left and right analog sticks without having to remove as many components as the other teardown videos currently on RUclips.
But, right joycon cannot be removed that easy like the left right?? :)
This is good that I don't need to remove the plate as my problem is on the left stick(right when flipped over). The right stick is fine(for now). I can't really tell if the problem is the stick or not as the problem isn't drifting but registering.
If you are following this video, please disconnect the battery ASAP. When poking and prodding around with a metal tool such as tweezers you risk bridging connections and frying your fancy piece of hardware.

I know transparent shells are popular, but if you guys made pastel or other brightly colored solid shells for the switch lite, it would be really cool.

What kind of screw driver do you need to do that?
I replaced a left daughter board, it works fine but the volume/on/off buttons aren't working. There doesn't seem to be anything for the switches to connect to. Are there switches under the buttons?
Instead of music it would have been nice to have you actually say what you were doing step by step

Thanks this helps so much I have a blacklight issue and I couldn’t get the backplate off and this just told my what the 4 screws were on the back and if you could please direct me in a good place that have a video on how to fix blacklight for noobs
As I remember the blacklight is on the touch screen part, and you can easily apart the touch screen from the LCD, and what you need to do is buy a new touch screen and replace it to the stock LCD
Glad they told us was tools and what stuff was or did major fail

I’m trying to replace my switch lite digitizer. How do I go about removing the digitizer from the stock switch lite to replace it with a new digitizer?

would it be worth replacing the thermal putty with a good quality thermal pad?
we never tried but as we know the putty is better than a pad on heat radiation
what is a good putty to use? also a glue for the screen that will stick to the shell?
I really want to hydrodip my switch lite (front and back) but I don't know if I can do that anymore because there's so much precision and memory involved with disassembly that I don't think I have.
Takes photos during you to disassemble the console to help you remember the parts they should put back. It's not difficult as you thought if you do enough remarks. But for sure it's not easy either. Good Luck!!
How exactly can you replace the lcd screen?
I'm going to try replacing it myself in a few weeks after the lcd screen i ordered is shipped, but i haven't exactly found videos of people replacing the lcd on a switch lite, only on the normal switch, the process must be similar i know, but is there any difference i should know?, since i only want to replace the lcd and not the digitlzer
I've heard that the digitizer and lcd screen are glued together unlike the normal switch, and not gonna lie, i'm kinda scared to fuck it up, since this is going to be my first ever disassembly of a console

We've tried to take apart the digitizer from the LCD, it's not difficult. It's just sticker to hold them together. But you have to do it carefully and slowly. Wish you GOOD LUCK!!

Quick question, I know the analog sticks are the same size and connector as the ones in the joycons, so that should be easy enough to switch with joycon parts for better aesthetics, but do you know if the buttons are replaceable with the the joycon buttons/ the button replacement sets you guys sell for joycons?
No, the buttons are not the same. We are working on the Lite buttons, please stay tuned!

The inner LCD screen of my switch lite was broken (outer glass and touch are intact), and I bought a new LCD screen for switch lite shipped from China, do you think I can fix that myself using your video? many thanks!!
If the LED screen works, then you have to disassemble your switch lite carefully and remember the position of all the screws, and then re-assemble them carefully. Just do it slowly and carefully, and gently. Good luck!!

How do i take it out,like where will it come out from
You need the suction cup to do it. Place it on the one side of the screen front, and then pull it slowly and gently, and then do it on the other side. And you have to heat the screen up before you do this.

Yes, so you have to do it extremely carefully and gently.

Nothing you can do
Great product but this video is pretty bad you always want to take the shielding off first and then get to the battery to disconnect it before you work on anything else

brother i tried tear down and reassembled it with new analog stick for right side but when i was done the screen didnt work but sound worked every thing but i cant see the screen only black light so please help me

Please check the connection of the screen and the mainboard, if it connected correctly but problem still stand, then it may possibly damages with the screen's flex.

You need to use a blow dryer to heat up the screen part and then take out the screen.
