- I apologize if any of the English subs are incorrect. I did them myself with pretty much my own knowledge of the language, which isn’t the best. That’s also why a lot of scenes don’t have subs, which I also apologize for.

They all have so much emotion in this one, snufkin crying is something that only happens in this one and the 2019 one, but also seeing moomin lose his shit after snufkin leaving was an interesting development, normally he just gets sad but not jumps down a cliff to stop him. This is certainly a really cool version and I wish I could watch the whole thing

@@raphbylestr2578 technically she hated the 69-70 version and this one was more faithful to the books. She did not let this broadcast internationally tho, and it was really more of a series brought from compromise between the company and Tove rather than faithful to her creations.

@@raphbylestr2578 I think this series is really unique, and more heartfelt than the 90’s series. I do think the 2019 series is doing a good job of adding a bit more emotion too. 72 Snufkin and 2019 Snufkin are my personal favorites bc they are so emotional.

ever since seeing this version, I can only imagine Snufkin with a deep, manly voice like this one, it sounds far more intimate when he's interacting with Moomintroll

I don’t know why but I love Snufkin’s hands in this series like the way there animated look like he’d hold things so softly
Also did anyone else notice in some scenes he has four fingers and in others he’ll have five?
I find the dramatic side to the whole show a tad bit too much, but my goodness is their interactions so heartfelt, I love seeing this depth to their emotions, which I thank the 2019 version for also exploring. That being said, I still kind of favour the 90's version for some reason...

The melodrama is very goofy, but damn if there arent some incredibly tender moments here.

I definitely favor this Snufkin over the 90s and more recent 2019 iterations,
mainly because of how much more express he is here, with how he doesn't tend to speak much and definitely shows more through actions rather than words, It makes those moments when he does speak or when we get an idea of what he's thinking that much more personal and enticing,
that and this version had this huge thing about helping Moomin, he'd do ANYTHING if it made Moomin happy and went out of his way to do so multiple times, makes em even more shippable and even just platonically adorable

I love this rendition so much- these two are so cute. And I found it sweet when Snufkin said Moomin was one of a kind.

This is why I will always love the 72 and 2019 versions. Snufkin is so expressive, I love it!

Tbf Tove based Snufkin on her Fiancé whom was of Snufkin were a leftist politician and a member of parliament, and Moomintroll was her alter ego so basically this is her fantasy version of their deep close friendship even after the breakup.

I’ve never seen this version of the Moomins before apart from a picture of MoominPappa holding a gun, which I thought was a joke. I’m way more familiar with the 90s version (Adventures From Moominvalley) and I’ve seen only a snippet of the 2019 version (Moominvalley) out of context. I’ve also seen a few pages of the book “Moomins & The Great Flood.” The 1972 version is so interesting and sort of strange to see. I do enjoy the colors of Snufkin’s outfit though and Moomintroll looks adorable, as always. The voice acting is nice too, I really like Moomintroll’s voice and Snufkin sounds great too. It’s also interesting to see Snufkin playing the guitar instead of a harmonica. To be honest, the scene where the bat bit him gave me shivers (because I didn’t expect to see blood or a bat biting him for that matter, although I’m not really that squeamish) and the amulet scene almost made me cry. This version seems more dramatic and in depth & that’s really fascinating to me. Very interesting version of the beloved Moomins indeed.
