  • In this video I tell you exactly how much I made selling generative AI images on Adobe Stock over the first six months of uploading and selling AI generated images.
    All my AI generated images are created in Midjourney, upscaled and retouched in Adobe Lightroom, and then uploaded to Adobe Stock for sale.

    Thanks for being that transparent instead of telling all people "Do this and you can earn 5.000k a month ...". It's too sad you not yet got more attention on your videos!

    Very good results. The thing is that it is horribly time consuming... I like being out there with my camera, while this is just a pure pc-screen time, and I already have more than enough of that while processing and uploading photos... but yeah, for whoever enjoys it, nice way to be creative and make few bucks.

      I'm with you on this one - its pretty boring and really not creative at all. I prefer being out with my camera or drone for sure.

    Hello, love these videos, and congratulations on your success. Could you make another video about what themes are selling, im not asking for specifics, but just general niches for example technology, finance...etc. Thank you kindly and good luck with your continued success!

    Well done. You must have worked very heard to generate those images. I don't think I have the patience to sit in front of the computer for that long. How long do you take, on average, per image? Like someone else commented. I would like to be out and about taking photos instead of sitting in front of my computer. This is especially so in the summer months. BTW, I agree with you about the Adobe Stock, they are taking s...o long to moderate the images these days. The other disappointment with them is the sudden very high rejection rate. Unlike SS their reason for image rejection is quite generic, which is frustrating. I think they have raised their bar suddenly. What has been your experience? Keep up the good work and congratulations on your good earnings in June.

      I find the AI image process to be boring as well. Text to image is really not that creative and I don't get much out of this on a personal level. I am willing to run the experiment, but I am not sure how far this goes. As far as rejections go, I feel like the review process has tightened up across photos as well. I have had more photo rejections lately when I previously had almost none - except for times I was intentionally pushing the recognizable people in editorial boundary. I also had a bunch of AI images rejected which was surprising. Perhaps this is a response to massive volume of uploads across the platform.

    • @lspeventmedia7836
      @lspeventmedia7836 Год назад

      @@JWhyte123 Agreed about the possible increase in uploads, but they need to give better feedback on rejected images to help the contributors. I get the feeling that they are now becoming more picky about the subject matter, which I can understand, though they are not saying it in their comments. This makes it quite confusing and disheartening.

      @@lspeventmedia7836 Its the same with photos, and across the sites. I guess I am at the point where I just ignore it. You can always reload items that you thing are good since a different reviewer might accept.

      Good to know that I am not the only one who gets more rejections from Adobe. In the very recent past more than 90% was accepted, in the past two months that has dropped to about 60%. Same photographer, same camera. Strangely enough, with Shutterstock it is the other way around: until April 60% acceptance rate, now they seem to accept almost everything. I did a little test with three photos that were rejected in the past, and they were all three accepted. @@JWhyte123

    Nice thanks ! And so, how much time did you put into this approximately ? Because the real question is: can it have a good ROI long-term ?

    • @JWhyte123
      @JWhyte123  11 месяцев назад

      With stock - whether photography, videography, or AI - my view is that ROI is probably not there. This is a hobby for most. The big content creators, sure. Most of us are too small to generate strong returns.

    Thanks for sharing your experience, I started uploading in April, but I am very slow just uploaded 4 AI images, in June had one sale of $0.33 but it encouraged me to upload more, again started uploading in June but no sale yet, the approval process is also is very slow till now only 8 more images got approved 33 are still in review. Can you share with us which topic is good I am mostly doing food stuff.

      Content moderation is really really slow. I posted a video early on lessons learned from Adobe Stock - may help you out as well as my previous video on building a commercial AI image portfolio. Its hard to say specifically since but check those to videos out and hopefully there is something of interest there.

    yeah these youtube videos that claim thousands a month are ridiculous. I have been submitting to stock sites since they first appeared. There was a time where you could make $1000+ a month many years ago but the industry has changed completely.

    Is there any (or much) benefit of shooting stock with a, say, full frame camera as opposed to crop or four thirds? Or even a decent mobile?
    Thank you in anticipation and sorry if the question is a daft one!

    • @JWhyte123
      @JWhyte123  Год назад +1

      Its actually a hard question to answer. I don't think smartphones are the best, particularly in challenging light. But other than that, I don't think there would be much of a difference for between size of sensors. I use a Z6 full frame now (and a D750 before) but I have an Olympus EM-1 and I uploaded a lot of those for stock. And there has never really been any difference between them as far as sales. I think the 3:2 aspect ratio is more flexible, but that's marginal.

      @@JWhyte123 Thank you Jeff - I appreciate your comment. I've got devices with sensor sizes from phone thru to full frame but only take the latter camera out and about if I need it as the thing for a specific purpose as it's a pain to keep with me at all times due to size. After your explanation I'll stick to my MFT kit now (virtually all my stock imagery is editorial). Thanks once again.
