Hi, I don't use an external processor, but I use a DSP filter in the speakers and an EQ filter in the mixer, but I don't remember exactly what frequencies I cut out.
Less a/d conversions so less latency, and less loss. Also there are distance considerations with any type of connection type, but I believe it’s less of an issue over Ethernet vs xlr. Depends on the application and space it’s being used I suppose
