Loved the review! The RODE branding is definitely a huge deal breaker but can be fixed with paint, black tape and other methods. The lack of metal grinding noises is crazy to me! I have the previous PSA1 and I had major issues with possible rusting or just lack of oiling of the metal areas. Love the improvement on the 1+

Great review, I have the same mic and shock mount on Rode's original PSA1 arm and it works fine, but I do find it loosening up a lot. I did notice you have a strong plosive when using this mic, have you thought about talking into it at a more horizontal / sideways manner/. Your voice sounds amazing with it and without a windscreen. Great video !

    Please. Get a pop filter.

These mics have built in filters. Do you hear that it is needed?

Yes, you have a LOT of plosives, to the extent it is really distracting. I came here to suggest the same thing about getting a pop filter.
Alternatively, change your mic position so you are talking more past (or over, if you want to stay with the mic below you) the mic, instead of directly in to it. Very few mics can take direct input like that without suffering from plosives. In addition to talking past it, get a couple more inches away from it. I also noticed proximity effect going in and out as you moved back and forth from the mic.

Yup there's a lot of plosives, great review otherwise!

@@TheJenShow There is some proximity effect and you could use a high pass filter too...just to get rid of some of the boomy-ness...good review.

I use the predecessor PSA1 and have been very happy with it. The branding on the new one is kind of a deal killer for me.
Since you are using the mic in a lower position, the Elgato Low Profile mic arm might also be a good choice, as it would get the arm out of the shot. I've not personally used one, but most of the reviews on YT (including from reputable audio guys like Curtis Judd) have been favorable to it.
