- Use a boom pole holder to hold your shotgun microphone without the need of someone holding the pole for audio, perfect for interviews. Here I am mounting a boom mic on a C stand and light stand as well.

Maybe something like this is common knowledge by now but I went a long time without knowing that a tool like a boom mic holder existed.
so helpful!!! especially for someone like me who has no clue and trying to figure out what to order online!!!! this helps a lot dude! cheers!
The one from Neewer you are recommending broke down on our first interview after about 5 minutes. When we checked the crack we noticed the weld is poorly done. Would highly recommend people to invest a few more dollars in other brands. So you won´t hurt anybody or your gear.
Were you talking about the knuckle?
just dont buy this piece of garbage tbh. get airo K-Tek Boompole Holder@@Miguelangelfilms94
Short and to the point as always! Almost 2K Javier!!
Thanks Nimrod!
Love it with c stand! My back loves this after doing old school last time by hand 🤦🏾♂️
Good job. Very simple and to the point.
Great video as I am new to sound and have just found this method, many thanks. you did have the knuckle the wrong way round though, the reverse of this will tighten as it falls. ;~)
Thanks for the insight Ian.
Dude this video is so efficient i feel like i don't need to watch any other videos...lol
Thank You!
Hey dude, your background is movie like. Incredible! Thanks for the video! I just got a boom pole holder and can’t wait to use it.
Thank you for the efficient, important information!
Boom pole holder thinga majiggie. Awesome!
Just thought about the spelling of majiggie, hilarious 😂.
This video was crazy awesome! :D Funny, informative, showed the thing and how it works, straight to the point! I am checking out the rest of your channel for sure!
Thank you for posting this.
Thanks for video Javier. Unless it's a wide shot the mic should be even closer to the talents face. As close as possible while remaining out of frame.
Awesome! Thanks for the advice!
I got my Boom Pole holder in the fishing section of Costco. It screwed into the side of the boat and held a fishing pole! And the cost is much much less.
Super helpful, thanks.
Great stuff, definitely doing this!!
Great vid Javier.
Thanks watching Thomas!
buying one now thank you
700th like right here Javier!
it was helpful! thank you!
Great job!
Great! So a light stand will also do the job?
Hii..
How to send the sound signal from sound recorder like sound device mixpre 10 to the cameras?
Any help..
Nice video......what is the max payload on this pole holder??
I'm not sure, but it holds boom pole just fine.
@@JavierMercedes Thanks Javier.....i will give it a go.
Would you recommend this holder & clamp attachement to be used on regular lights stands over buying a complete C stand with boom pole? I also shoot portraits, would this same setup reliably hold a speedlight and softbox with suitable sandbags do you think?
I think you would be pushing your luck with a soft box, some elinchrom soft-boxes can get pretty heavy. I think a solid c stand purchase would go a long way if you do photography as well.
Do you think this would work with the Rode Micro Boompole Pro??
Do you recommend how to use this adapter on a c-stand if you want to angle the boom arm at a downward angle? Something makes me think it would slip right through
You can put the holder to the opposite way.
Just put the locking on the opposite way, the weight will strenght the locking, instead of loosing it.
Great point Pablo! Thank you!
OK so here's what's driving me nuts... Why go through all the trouble of setting up a bouncy boom pole when you already have a rigid boom arm for your C-stand? Clarification; your video is great, what's driving me nuts is that there doesn't seem to be a simple solution for threading a microphone clip onto the end of a C-stand boom. I'm currently on the hunt for a simple adapter that could accomplish this.
The flash point c stand has you covered. Check out my review, it comes with the threads for the mic on the stand: ruclips.net/video/GEAetEzuuas/видео.html
The key thing; the lipped thingie is the whole thing! What is it?
Link for the boom pole please

There is an affliate link to the K-Tek Boom Pole, Glad you are interested Erick!
Mine broke
It’s a sad day when 15 $ piece of metal takes away man’s livelihood. It works well at static interviews but doesn’t really replace professinal when recording on the go. Off topic, I don’t want to bitch but maybe you should do a video about c-stand safety. There where some safety rules broken in this video. (Okay, there weren!t any real load, but there are children watching, let’s lead by example, please?)
?? It works just fine for talking-head style shoots.
Thanks, very helpful!
