Told ya' over a year ago this was coming. Arnold is owned by Pride.
Owner of Arnold is brother to owner of US Express.
Also, "the back loop" on dispatched information from Arnold about loads had to meet parameters of brokerage and run times, as well as cancelling loads while the drivers are at the check-in gate for deliveries...going thru Pride. It was on Pride schedules as Pride was the "primary" for a lot of those shipments so they wanted Pride Driver's first on gainful monetary loads with less down/layover time for those Pride Driver's. O/O's for Pride especially. JD and Arnold knew and the instructor's at orientation for Arnold will never talk about it.
Go to their "reviews" and you will notice their responses to the bad reviews that Arnold got commented on. Pride "primary" ownership was the root cause for the bad reviews. JD and the instructors knew it all along

Pride Truck Sales was "renting" new trucks during the rate run up for a 4 year term. Pmts were high, like $1,500 weekly plus miles. All those trucks came back when rates dropped. They were skirting truth in lending laws by "renting" vs sales/leasing. It was a business apparently soaking the truck manufacturer's and related finance arms. When new trucks could not be found anywhere, PRIDE lots were jam packed with new trucks. Haha, the manufacturers who thought they were enriching themselves by funnelling trucks to outlets that were circumventing the manufacturer suggested retail price system.

Knight/Swift just bought U.s. xpress, Total and Variant.
Meanwhile in China, trucks run without mufflers let alone pollution controls.

I worked for a business man who started a pipe line company and he knew nothing about pipe lining he hired a pretty good conman to get work and some experienced guys but it all went bust.
Business men use bank money to run the business and when the bank money dries up so does the company. That's why you need a business plan to get loans and the guys that use there own money will do what ever it takes to keep their company.
Big fancy offices and warehouses cost alot of money to keep running. Office staff and managers add to the cost. 20 years ago I driver told me about a company in Canada that had 1500 trucks and the two owners only made 1 dollar for each truck per day after paying for everything.

I just had to go to the dealer for my 2014 Kenworth T6 80 and had it smoke tested. I think If it is older than five years, have to put the sniffer in the pipe if it’s newer, they just plug in the laptop😮

They sought after a particular demographic and got caught holding the bag. I remember watching Pride truck sales in the DFW explode with new trucks a few years ago. I always wondered how they were doing it. Now we all know. They brought in foreign workers with the promise of big money. Those people bought trucks at probably double the value and are back where they started from and even more broke. Us guys that have been doing this for years are still trying to hold out until these fly by night people and companies get bounced out of the market.

i don't know their books but i am guessing they took loans with projected earnings that didn't have the economic slow down that happen. this will make sense if what they were hauling was one of the international trades that was halted and if is not they just making excuses for their incompetence or it could just be a change of business practice in disguise to get out of the trucking game and that is why they use the pandemic excuse before it'll be too late to use it.
We went from the best money ever during covid to some of the worst...seems like there getting all there money back and then some...

We The People change this business or, keep running 5/6/7 dollar a mile loads on fuel tankers to 250 miles and think you have done something. 15-25 was made on your load and virtually zero cost in Juarez as the owner pays less tariffs and excise...living across the street. Registration, alone, is virtually nothing.
