Corelli - Sarabanda (organ)

Arcangelo Corelli was an Italian violinist and composer of the Baroque era. His music was key in the development of the modern genres of sonata and concerto, in establishing the preeminence of the violin, and as the first coalescing of modern tonality and functional harmony.
What you can hear in this video is a Sarabande, transcription from Concerto for organ curated by Maurizio Machella and played by Luca Raggi on hauptwerk system.

In questa Sarabanda di Arcangelo Corelli, eseguita come di consueto con gusto e sensibilità dal M° Luca Raggi, è impossibile non riscontrare elementi stilistici imitati poi da altri grandi musicisti suoi contemporanei come, in questo caso, da Händel.
