Great review! I have similar gripes about my Varg as well! Although the battery life has been Great at my riding level, with all the R&D they did, I can't believe they didn't have it come with a swappable battery that will surely be needed the faster we get and draining the battery faster. My sons custom Electric 65 can swap the battery in 15 seconds and charge second battery off the bike, and he can ride all day long. They missed the mark on that one for sure.
Yeah hopefully in the future they'll develop an interchangeable battery. My generator works between motos but it'd be nice to not have to worry about it.
You can swap the battery, Stark did it with one of their teams but it takes about 2 minutes. I think for a battery that big and heavy it's hard to come up with a quick release type system that doesn't end up adding a good amount of weight etc.
Sooo how does this bike work? Do they ever come out with new models? This was 2021 R&D and released 2023.... so new model in 2025? Or is it all software updates.... I'm more interested in this for trail riding in Utah. Nothing is worse than a Karen saying I'm on a Mtn bike trail only lol. Now I will be stealth and ride around the karen
So since it's brand new, I'm not sure if they will be comin gout with newer models yet, mayeb they'll do something along the lines of the surrons. So now you can buy the 60hp, and if you decided to upgrade to the 80hp it's just an update with the phone. Yeah it's a fairly quiet bike which is nice for those spots you dont want to be heard.
I'm going to pick up one today. I've ridden a couple of them, and currently own an Alta EXR, so I'm familiar with e-bikes already. I'm pretty curious about the two and the ups/downs of each. Did they consider the kickstand a warranty item? How about the parts you had to swap? Did you have to service it yourself, or take it in to the dealership?
Honestly I didn't even ask about the kickstand, it's not worth the trouble putting it back on, the bike leans soooo far with it down anyway. And the parts were sent to me pretty fast, once you diagnose the issue with stark and prove that there is an issue you can not fix they'll help you out. If you take a look at my latest video it explains my situation with a dealership and what happend with the work done between me the dealer and stark. Basically do the work yourself
So far Stark is really pretty good with warranty. I had the motor lock up at almost 90mph and the dealer is about 3hrs away. So they sent a new powertrain directly. I did the repair myself. It revealed a few other issues I need to address with stark (bad rivnut, rear tire has a flat spot now, and the replacement motor already seems to have some debris in the gear oil) The side stand sucks really. It leans too far as he said and it automatically retracts. You can fix the auto retract part, and I'm going to tap the mount and put a bolt as a limit. Basically, the stand will hit the head of the bolt so it doesn't lean as far. Alternatively, just get the warp 9 stand. The bike is a blast I just hope they continue to stand behind the product helping with these issues, especially at the price point.
Everyone rush’s out and gets their suspension revalved when all you need it’s to tune it ! There is a seating in that bike that will suit you . Just keep putting in time. Mine felt pretty bad when I first got it . Rebound was too fast , and rear of bike was way too high and it was unusable . Save yourself the money and go work on it and learn how it works
@@redwolfracing definitely . It look me about 10 hours to have it dialled . I have found having a softer high speed on shock with firm low speed and firm front . With about 3 clicks slower rebound than stoic has made the bike super planted and predictable . 3mm of fork through the clamps and 40mm sag on the rear . It track really well through sand but still turns pretty well. My front felt super unstable when it was new and it was all the ride heights . The front was too low and rear only had 30mm sag
are you in the TMA app? feel like ive seen your handle in there " red wolf racing"
Yes I am!
We don't need kickstands 😅
Nope! But it did come in handy sometimes 😂

@BarrettMeeker867 yeah the batterys only a few bolts, you definitely need two people to take it out/put the new one in.
@BarrettMeeker867 you can swap it but it's clearly not intended for it. I have removed and installed it, it's not a real enjoyable process.
Why are tou taking tour seat off ?
To install a different seat cover, or when washing the bike so it doesn't break down as fast, it helps keep it intact

the kickstand is suppose to be next to the pegs

Definitely, I keep messing with it little by little and it seems to be helping. Just gotta fine tune it like you said 👌
