  • An Irish folklore story set in Strandhill, County Sligo, in which a man sees the unlikely sight of a hare and a leprechaun running, night after night, through the sand dunes. He sets out to prove to his companions that they're not a mere drunken vision, and in the process discovers the dark secret behind their identity.

I don't normally leave comments but you my friend are one hell of a storyteller. As an Irishman who loves my country and history If i close my eyes i could picture a poet in the 17th century telling the same tale in a dark cottage lit only by candlelight with all those listening to every word. Not a word spoken till the story finished. Gaelic Ireland had a huge tradition of poets and druids and you would fit right in.

@Washpenrebel So agree with what you say here. This story i think needs listening to more than once, it’s sad and beautiful and shows how precious and magical live is for us all.
