I just realised Jet is a foil for Sonic's character
They are both in a difficult relationship with their respective friends, but they cope differently: Sonic acts in a toxic way with his friends, but Jet is much more open-minded and tries to do his best while treating his friends fairly. This makes Sonic's character arc more satisfying and shows that Sonic has no excuse to not change

Jet and Storm's voice actors were really funny in this, almost seems like they would be the official voices for those characters.
I never expected to see Storm as essentially an Italian mafioso with existential dread and anxiety, but it works so well here.
My favorite part of this is that because Marble's played this game so much she knows everything that's about to happen and uses it to lead the others into joke after joke that no one else sees coming.
