I think more people like the SA2 fandub because that game already had a pretty messy story and wonky English voice over work, so redubbing the characters to say random or stupid things makes it more entertaining. Sly on the other has a fairly well told story, along with good voice acting, so making a silly fandub doesn’t seem quite as entertaining. Also the Sonic series has sort of become a big meme over the years so any videos on youtube about it are going to get more views naturally.

the first time i watched this video, i was incredibly drunk, and the "i dont know latin so i just make it up by adding us to the end of words" bit made me laugh so hard i legitimately peed a little bit. rewatching it sober a few months later and "i readus the bookus" still brought me to tears.

This is apparently the least popular rtf game, and I'm shocked and appalled because this is some of the funniest shit I've ever seen.
I think more people like the SA2 fandub because that game already had a pretty messy story and wonky English voice over work, so redubbing the characters to say random or stupid things makes it more entertaining. Sly on the other has a fairly well told story, along with good voice acting, so making a silly fandub doesn’t seem quite as entertaining. Also the Sonic series has sort of become a big meme over the years so any videos on youtube about it are going to get more views naturally.

Its the fact that Sonic goes above and beyond and it gets to absurd levels with its story (which is a good thing cuz you feel the stakes and cool ass crazy shit happens as well as great character moments. At least before 2010). However because of its absurdity, its a lot easier to cherrypick and meme it
The fact they never had them switch their bodies back is dedication.
