- Sly Cooper was one of my favorite games while growing up, so I wanted to go back in time and platinum trophy hunt on Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves all in one video! I have a question, I recently got Sly 4 and I wanted to but the collection so that I could play every game but do you need a sixaxis controller for these games, because I know that mine doesnt work

This series was my entire childhood. I played Sly 2 so many times I literally ended up ruining the disk and had to get another copy. I should give it another go sometime.
I also played the trilogy soooo much, you should play them again! You can stream all the games on ps4/ps5!

Sorry to hear about the disc. I played sly 2 and 3 many times as well but kept the disk in good condition.

Sly 1 = best Anime like revenge story with best villian
Sly 2 = most Quality in Gameplay, good build up (expect the clock-la twist, that destroyed Everything for me. It could be the best story if clcokwerk would have took over of his conscious for a final Showdown, dialouge and face off)
Sly 3 = best story, most Character Development, best Climax, best Connection to old Franchise characters like Dmitri, mughsot & Panda king, and 2 even team you, best Character Development for sly what Ends the story FOR GOOD in a beautiful way.)

Seeing this in my recommended list and actually getting to witness people enjoying the game. Gives me hope for Sly Cooper 5. It always has a special place in my heart.
They, somebody, gotta save Sly and bring him back. My dude's been lost in time for way too long. I've been looking at my trophy list and realized, to my shock, that out of the original trilogy I still haven't platinum'd Sly 3. And I don't think I can live with that, so finishing things up is on my to-do list. I love these games to death, and I really hope we'll see Sly again sometime in the future.

Years ago a friend introduced me to the Sly Cooper franchise with Sly 2: Band of Thieves. First game I played of the series. I then went about obtaining my own copies and at that time I was in high school. When I was obtaining Sly and Sly 2 I found out that there was a third one. How I love the original three games!!! Till now I have not had a newer gaming system than the PS2 slim I have had since 2005. I just obtained a PS5 for streaming PS3 games and allow me to play PS5 games too when they intrigue me. I am still going through Sly 4. I am having a blast with the latest in the franchise and so hopeful for a 5th game to honestly give a more rounded ending to the series. I thought that the end of Sly 3 was a good way to wrap things up especially for Sly and Carmelita (I always wanted them to make things work between them) but I felt that everyone else was in a place they needed to be in their lives that didn't require making further games for their story. With that said I will always enjoy more Sly content. Sony please bring back our favorite "Ringtail".

Sly 2 and 3 were and still are as fun as ever to play. Sly 1 was more of a challenge that gives you a more victorious feeling if you 100% complete it.

Just earned a sub. I was scrolling and saw this. I’ve moved on to Xbox trophy hunting now but sly Cooper will always be in my top 10 favorite games ever. Sly 3 was the first game I ever beat.

Fun Fact, in Sly 1 you can't actually get all the vaults before beating Clockwerk IIRC. I believe the last vault always will require Bentley to learn Owl Dialect or something or other before he can decipher the code which he can do after you beat Clockwerk.
Alright, I looked it up, and there is a small correction, it isn't the last vault but rather the vault in Duel By Dragon specifically.

Good stuff man, i’ve been thinking about getting into speedrunning and making content of it and the first game franchise that popped into my head was sly cooper(my favorite video game series since I was 5), 2 minutes later…. I find your video so I guess that’ll have to wait but im glad sly cooper is still getting love from fans to this day :)

I feel like this video was really well done. I just wish that it was a little bit longer because I enjoyed it so much. Maybe you could get more into detail about the more obscure trophies (which could be quite complicated to get) and just talk more about the games in general. You should definitely do this again with more childhood games!!

My goal of late has been to make much faster paced shorter content, since a lot of people that make similar videos make them quite long. But it seems people really do like the longer content, so it’s just the challenge of making actual entertainment content that feels like it doesn’t drag on.
I have some very interesting ideas for more childhood games in the future! So look out for those👀
@@colbyvi Yeah! And I think you did a really good job with keeping it short if that is what you were going for as you did really nice flow-ins like going from the Rajan ballroom heist directly to the fight with Murray really seemlessly. So editing wise you did a really, really fantastic job!

I'm in the middle of doing this as well! I grew up with the Sly games and would always boot up my PS2 every few years to replay them. I recently got access to them again thanks to the classics catalog on PSPlus on my PS5 and I'm trying to platinum all the games. I'm glad they're like the Ratchet & Clank collection trophies where it's just story and collectibles.

These are really high quality games. Years ago, too, I bought the Sly HD trilogy for PS3, and I still play it today, 2-3 times a year. This trilogy (Along with the Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank trilogies) is one of my all-time favorites. I've played the three chapters at least 14 times each (Sly 4 I've played it less, I like him too, but I think it's a little inferior to the PS2 trilogy) and they have never, NEVER bored me once. I could play it 100, 1000 times and still enjoy it like it was the first time. There are no new PS4 and PS5 games that manage to give me the same feeling of fun and happiness during my game sessions, as the Sly, Jak and Ratchet trilogies do. I'll be starting the trilogy again for the 15th time shortly, as soon as I get back from vacation and believe me, I can't wait to play it again.
PS: My Favorite Sly is Sly 3, a game that I think is pure and absolute perfection in terms of Variety and Gameplay.
All the sly games are so timeless! I still need to play the ratchet & clank and jak & daxter trilogies!

I love the Sly Cooper games, I loved all 4 games and I do mean all 4 of them. I recently bought new copies of the original trilogy games for the PS2 and playing them all again. I love them to pieces

I’ve only ever played the first sly but none of the sequels. Haven’t played it in decades and I wish I still had my PS2. The first sly cooper will always be my all time favourite and most nostalgic game, even if I do end up playing the sequels one day.
