Yes! Do not stay! My husband and I were part of our church movement for about 40 years. We left because of spiritual abuse from the most recent leaders the last seven years and a conspiracy of silence among those in the leader ship group. It’s been about three months and it’s been difficult but it’s been the best experience as well. We can see God so much more clearly! And the farther we have removed ourselves from the toxic situation, the more unhealthy it looks all the time. Remember, Jesus himself said that wolves disguise themselves in sheep’s clothing. Step out on faith and make that move. do it with God and you won’t regret it. Remys books and Videos have been so helpful!
Oh, this is a good video . I haven't seen the toxic behavior but people i trust have and are warning me to leave my church. But i was like, "God has worked through this church , so i should stay." This is a helpful video
I left a very toxic church .Yes I felts that ten reason before leaving the church. This church is very toxic that to the point "you can't raise questions to their leadership or even ask a normal question about wat they are preaching in church. I was in group chat and I raised just normal question in group chat leader is preaching out of context. You know wat the leader did 👀 He just change the group chat into "Only admin can send message" there around 70 + people in group ch at. 👀👀 After leaving the church he even threatened me "He is the only to salvation to heaven God told him to come back to him to repent otherwise I am not going to heaven" 👀👀 Is'nt that creepy 😱 I make no contact with that toxic leader and members .After leaving the church they are gossiping about me but I don't care wat they say or not. Life is much better when I cut off those toxic monsters and God even said to leave this toxic church it was a hard decision but I left and God makes my life more beautiful after leaving those toxic church
Mine is the fact my own family did not raise me in a stable loving enviroment, I ran into the pentecostal holiness ,word of faith movement :( Just wanted people to accept and love me ,;(
Hello sir I have a question for you. I just have watched a few of your videos. So I’ve been a believer in Christ since I was 14. But I’ve been abused by many churches also. And that’s not to say that I’m a perfect person. But I’m currently going to a church where there’s a lot of elderly people. Some of them have been there for over 30 years. And yet every Sunday the pastor continues to whip up on people about their sin. It’s a spirit filled church assemblies of god. But this time after attending there on and off since 2014 I just feel nobody’s growing and it’s really stagnant because it doesn’t seem to be that people feel set free. We just had a man passed away at 95 years old and the year before that he left one of the sermons shook his head and said I’m not sure I could ever be good enough for God. It’s the constant Old Testament and making sure that everybody repents. Now I understand we all can have sin and some of us can struggle. But I’m looking for the fruit of the spirit the joy of the spirit that would diminish the sin and all I seem to get is feeling more and more condemned. Any thoughts on churches preaching repentance. It seems to be biblical. But it sure puts a heavy burden.❓❓❓
Well, first, it doesn't sound like this church is truly "spirit filled" based on how you described it. It sounds like they are missing the concept of God's forgiveness, his cleansing and how God makes us new in Christ and gives us his righteousness. So yes, we need to repent (turn from our sin) but that is step one that leads to many good things. It sounds like the church is stuck on step one. Is it time for a different church?
