  • It has been super busy out at the yard! I couldn't find a home for this old International school bus, so I used the excavator to rip it apart and pack it in the dumpster!

Roughly 73 Ford LTD burnt bronze orange wagon the one you saved from demo derby years ago. I've got one just like it complete minus the engine. Rust free. I've been sitting in the barn for about 40 years. 302 probably have in it. I'm assuming because that car is way too heavy for a 302.

@@fomocopowersgarage7103 the engine has a chip piston ring. Now only being 23 🤣🤣 years old it's marvelous that I was able to acquire this car back in 1985. I drove the car home. It has an interesting back story, but I'll just stick with the car. I horse traded a Chevy nova. The Nova was a great. It was probably three times with the wagon was during the time of trade. I can't tell you how many miles a car has on it I have not looked at the odometer since I don't know when. I believe I have the full deluxe deluxe hubcaps. It has the same rims and tires on it as it did in 1985 ish. The car is virtually identical to the one Monaghan used. Now I'm talking about actor and I guarantee you that I butchered his name. Anyway he played the beach bum really well blonde hair protective too many recreational toks. At least as a character he played. Anyway on some surfer Beach bum movie he had the exact same wagon exact color everything. I'm not going to claim the interior is perfect but it is super good. I think I even still have the keys for it. It ran Winter Park until I took the engine out of it. Tore it down greased it wrapped in plastic hand-built a specific wooden crate for it. As far as I know even still has the floor mats. I have honestly thought about putting a cop engine in it that's a coyote. But other things have kept me interested. It is real simulated leather vinyl seats. I believe the inside of the car is a tan color. I'm doing some memory. I have not laid eyes on the car in a year's time and then I was just passing by the car. Anyway the car is complete. Unlike the one that we saw on silas's show where the backlash was missing and appeared to have been arrested out around it. It's it's all there. Now with that being said I couldn't tell you that the transmission is still sitting in there or not. And I'm not sure which crate that engine's in. I have numerous crated engines transmissions and other parts. I had something else you might be interested in as well. I'm thinking it's a 1953. But it's a custom line 2-door. Original paint. But the paint is almost taken over by surface rust. It has an overhead valve V8 I believe the first year. It also has factory overdrive. The station wagon has been on site for around 40 years. The custom line has been in the family for probably 60 years. I know how you like the technical stuff about your Fords. I've got a 68 Ford wagon give or take and has been sitting there for approximately 45 years. It's in between the other two Fords as far as condition. But it also has a fantastic interior given the age of the car. Let me know if you want to know something else more about any of these

That bus had a really cool patina on it. But at the end of the day, it’s a huge vehicle and you need a lot of space to park it in. Plus it needed a whole lot of work to clean it out to a presentable shape, and probably needed considerable expenditure of time and money to get it road worthy. It sounded like all the people interested in the bus were short on funds to purchase the bus and also did not have the means or funds to transport it. So away it went.
I came up with plenty of ideas for what I would have done with it. But that’s all they were. Ideas. No real plans or desire to actually do anything with it.

That school bus, are the chrome grab handles, door and closing mechanisn worth saving? Would the rear end cut off sell as a wall hanger or repurposed, like as a storage idea for someone? Too bad no one wanted to save it but it was a money maker. I recommend you don’t burn the candle at both ends to the point where you miss seeing your kids grow up. One video a week can be plenty.
