God I remember being in high school and watching the sketch tours OVER AND OVER... Now I'm in college lmao. Thanks for always being here echo (also love the hair)
I’ve missed the sketchbook tours! These videos literally changed my life in such a big way. With out you and you sketchbook videos I wouldn’t be pursuing art, thank you echo! ❤
the children book characters are giving me lollipops mixed with among us vibes and I live for it! so cute would honestly buy prints of these characters!
I must admit I missed the sketchbook tours but I definitely don't want to see you stressed or burnt out. I hope the moving goes well, and you're able to get some rest days in with all the work that comes with moving. 💙
I was 12 when I watched your first sketchbook video. Now I am 18, redoing my abitur and still doing spooky art. Alot of my art was inspired by your videos and past sketchbooks. So thank you for existing
I’ve re-watched the old sketchbook tours so many times over the years. They’ve inspired me so many times, and through so many art blocks. I love them sm, glad to still see another even now that I’m in college
Such a cute little sketchbook! 👻 The shimmery paint is so pretty. Love the teal gemstones & opal pearls. Also, you can never go wrong with cat doodles. 🐱
I very much feel the “I need purple things to draw!”, so I will mention my go to purples! First of all some snakes are naturally purple, they tend to be lighting dependant since the colours come from thin layer optical effect rather than pigments, and tend to be enhanced through breeding projects, but there are naturally occurring purple snakes! I recommend looking up purple file snakes, and the lavender morphs of hog nose snakes and false water cobras. Irl they are more vivid than in pictures though so feel free to up the purple saturation. Secondly there are several purple minerals that are fun to draw, the classic is amethyst, a type of quartz with an iron impurity, but sapphires, sappherine, spinel and tourmalines also come in purple varieties too!
I stopped sorting out my playlist on spotify to watch this, I was not expecting to see this make a return but I'm super excited ether way. :D Also I notice with the ghost paintings in you look at it in a certain way you, it kinda feels like its following a narrative of sorts with the ghost or ghosts threw out each painting.
oh my gosh!! your sketchbook tours were the first things i watched from you and i remember being a kid and rewatching these while teaching myself to draw. you were my first insparation to get me to continue art through the years the nostalgia is hitting like a truck rn thank you so so much for continuing to make videos you still remain a huge insparation for me to this day thank you!!!
i was absolutely obsessed with your old sketchbooks throughout elementary/middle school, and now i’m a senior 😭🫶 thank u for keeping little me being artsy
Ahh, the pressure of sketchbook tours! I see other people's, and they look so aesthetic and lovely. And mine is just crap. 🤣 And I'm not putting down my artistic skill. It's just that I mostly use my sketchbook to plan pieces, so it's mostly a lot of thumbnails and messy sketches. Yours looks great, by the way. And the short hair is very cute!
I would love to see more authentic sketchbooks showcased tbh. As lovely as this tour was, it would be nice to see more of the process and planning sketches out. I used to be very into art but due to Capitalism™, I have definitely strayed for a few years. I am struggling to get back into it since I am so self critical now, so seeing a perfect sketchbook while mine is a nonsensical mess can feel defeating. However, we must remind ourselves that the internet is where we show off the good things, and that long time practicing artists will have different processes than a beginner or someone who is coming back. Echo did show her process and experimented a lot, but she is experienced and has been practicing consistently. Just saying if anyone wants to share some messy sketchbooks I think it would really help more people be more open to making mistakes and ultimately learning from them and becoming a better artist. I really enjoy these kinds of videos and I really miss interacting with the artistic community.
The ghost book is beautiful. I miss your sketchbook videos, please bring them back. YEAH, I love awesome points. I would love to see your animal crossing island. Love to Chuy Bunny
your sketchbook tours are a big comfort to me, all through middle school I would wait for them to come out. I'm 19 now and they make me feel very nice. I love your little ghost candycorns!! also the genderqueer flag is very pretty. it's a forgest green, white, and lavender and I think it would make a pretty stone. so would the aroace flag because of the color variety!
Love the gemstones!! I collect stones so I always like to looks at a good gemstone haha. if you feel like it you could do the gay pride flag that has lots of different blue/ green shades. could be fun!
The ghosts are really wild candy corn creatures would be a great kids book premise. Like the candy corn just wants to be friends but they’re nocturnal so they only come out at night and the kids thinks they’re ghosts. Too cute.
Echo I need these stickers in my life so bad, but *Broke student noises* i hope these stay up for a bit so I can get them when I'm not suffering from broke student. these are so cool. these would be amazing as pins too!
@@EchoGillette So glad to hear! I love you art. Been watching you since your first sketchbook tour. You're such an entertaining person to watch. Watching your videos is what I do when I'm having a bad day. And thank you for speaking out on asexual topics. As an asexual myself it's nice to have someone speaking for us and someone to look up to.
i watched your older sketchbook tours when i was a young teen and they gave me inspiration. I'm happy to say this video has re-ignited that inspiration as well as nostalgia :) thank you echo ur very cool

I was just telling my friend I need inspiration for my art and this video comes along. Perfect timing! I've been a long time subscriber just lurking and I have strayed away from art sadly. This video was very inspiring and it feels comforting to know I can always jump back in and improve. Glad you are doing better, your hair looks fantastic! I am gonna go back through your old sketchbook tours now for more inspiration!
the short red hair and black and red aesthetic is reminding me so very much of Ruby Gloom and I adore it!! I am also a short red haired red and black aesthetic person lmao
I gasped when my phone showed the notification I missed the tours they bring peace and lots of comfort and happy watching it also for stones maybe gender queer or gender fluid, nonbinary.. I feel like intersex would be challenge with circle.
I'm late to watch and comment, but man I'm happy to see another sketchbook tour, your art looks amazing as always :) (my favorites were the brown tree and the ghost under the lamp)

When you pointed out the white gel pen circle, it kind made the whole painting look like it was happening within a door, and the gel pen was the knob. 14:41
I found this really inspiring. An entire video game idea came into my head looking at these paintings I might have to explore this (is that OK?) Thank you for sharing this, Echo, I really liked it
