I never had to do the "outside" stuff, so now I am googling everything related to hooking up and making minor repairs. Thank you so much for showing how to connect and disconnect! I was wondering how to remove the bars.
Great demonstration. Thanks very much for the upload. It just seems like a pita to have to go through this procedure every time a person wants to tow their trailer. The company that (hopefully someday) comes out with a way for trailer owners to JUST have to connect the hitch to the ball, without having to do everything so well demonstrated in the video, will make a billion dollars!
hayesman76 ummmm most trailers just have a ball and a hitch all this other stuff is excessive and only needed when your load you’re carrying isn’t evenly distributed... f**k all this other fancy sway bar and blah blah blah
Great video almost perfect!! Please add Bring in Awning, Close all windows and vents, Secure all times, power down everything, disconnect powers and secure power cable, turn off propane tanks, lock all hatches, then your video :). After video TEST your lights on RV for turning and breaking, then take out chucks and your ready to roll.
My PhD and MA aren't of use here! The Weight Distribution Bars at installation seemed very difficult to ease in making me think how should I remove them. Then he says to pull back the clip and the bars fall off. How in the world would I know that without this genius of a man showing me?
Bear in mind that: 1. A weight distribution hitch does not eliminate tongue load, it just levels out the towing rig. 2. Suspension modifications are not a substitute for a weight distribution hitch, they should only be used to handle loads inside the vehicle. 3. Unless your trailer is smaller or lighter than the tow vehicle itself (e.g. if you have a standard size family car and a folding camper trailer), then a weight distribution hitch is almost mandatory.
@@nadinestanley4254 Lol it seems like a lot of steps but once you become familiar with the steps it’s pretty straightforward. From start to finish this is simpler than changing a flat tire.
Good job in explaining!!!!! Do you know how many links of the chain should we used? and does these bars effect backing up the trailer even if on a tight spot and even when cutting sharp is necessary?
Everything good but on 3:50 you twisted chain ..you know why.?? .because your "hook system" should be little bit to the trailer (inch or two) ...(chain is not straight ) you can check on 6:30 how chain stay !? Ok !
Who the heck puts the blocks side ways. I was taught to make it in the same direction as the truck incase the trailer slides its harder for it to come off the blocks
Thanks for good camera work and just the right amount of talking. You helped us tremendously.
You are welcome. Camera work is thanks to my son.
Any RV dealer will have these.

Thank you for the great demonstration. Everything was done great professional.
Thank you so much. Was able to hitch/unhitch our new Travel Trailer today, because of your video!
Thank you, Rob. You have demystified the process.
You are amazing! Clear, concise, proper speed, etc. Thank you so much!
Great video. Very informative. The directions were clear and concise with a great video.
well demonstrated. thank you for this.

It is a pita, only solution is to get a bigger truck and you don't have to go through this!
This is extremely helpful. Thank you very much Rob

Thank you, you're instructions were easy to follow and simple .
Always a good idea to cross the safety chains. If the trailer comes off the ball the chains have a chance to stop the trailer from hitting the ground
Well done you covered everything ,every step ,thanks alot

Hey Rob!
I was making sure my parents were using their weight distribution hitch correctly and I came across your video. Nice work!
What is going on here . I don't have a clue....

That’s a great video my friend! Well done.
Nicely done.
thanks I just bought a trailer your tremendous help
Very very good video for first timers
Great tutorial, well done!
well f me. finally a good video straight to point and very informative!
Awesome. Amazing job.
Great video. Could you be more specific on where you put the Breakaway cable on the truck?
Is that extension mirror a Fit System 81810 Ford F-150 Towing Mirror ? Great video.
GREAT VIDEO THANKS
Very good video! Can you tell me where you purchased the mirror extensions?
Good job in explaining!!!!! Do you know how many links of the chain should we used? and does these bars effect backing up the trailer even if on a tight spot and even when cutting sharp is necessary?
very helpful. Thank you
great video, thank you
Do you use those mirrors on both sides.
So how was that good. When you tightened the first sway bar it was not tight.
They tighten when the jack is lowered after everything is hooked up.

Raise it Down???
:) Yep. Misspoke that one.
Thanks.
I wanna haul my cousin trailer off with my truck. She didn't pay for it anyway.
Thanks for the know how..?
Grease the balls on the sway bar
Who the heck puts the blocks side ways. I was taught to make it in the same direction as the truck incase the trailer slides its harder for it to come off the blocks
I was taught to properly chock the tires which makes it irrelevant on which way the block sits.
Rob Repasz there's always one .... great job Rob
@@robrepasz2689 what is the part number for those mirrors? What year is that truck?
Great presentation but seriously dude, you need a new camera man. That almost made me nauseous.
