    Another excellent episode! I particularly liked the discussion on just anger. I often have feelings of anger regarding the present situation, but I often conclude that my ideas of how to fix it are rather ineffectual and even harmful. I then beg God for mercy on our country, because I can think of nothing else that will help. May Almighty God bless you!

    I have to ask myself, "how did I contribute to this problem? Acknowledge my part, even if it's a small part, such as watching TV shows or movies that condone sin and mistreatment of parents. Letting myself become conditioned to the sin. I'm guilty of this and therefore played a part in the downfall of society. If I don't acknowledge this, then how can I ask God for help. If we don't change our actions, even if someone steps in, we will end up the same. Just like if a son asks his father for money, the father would probably ask, how did you get into this predicament? Because the father knows that just giving him the money without the son acknowledging his part, that his son would probably be asking again for money again in a short time.

      You are hitting the nail on the head. Yes, we all contributed to the situation we are in right now. Each time, during our life, that we "sided with Satan" instead of taking a stand for Our Lord, we gave more to the arsenal of evil. This is a spiritual battle and we have been arming Satan for decades. Example: When a Christian mom and dad do not tell their son that it is an abomination for their son "to marry" another man, because they are afraid they will be seen as not loving him, they are siding with Satan and adding to the spiritual ammunition that will be used against them and us. That is just one teeny example of disobeying God and fueling the enemy. Sad isn't it. And we're all guilty. 2 Paralipomenon 7:14 (2 Chronicles for our protestant friends) is what we need to do right now; like yesterday. Great comment. Thank you.

      @@deborahsimpson2732I have to admit that I am a part of the problem. When Rockford had an abortion clinic I never thought of praying in front of it. Last month there was a sodomite parade in town and I stayed away from it. There’s a sodomy “resources center “ on the street where I live and I don’t go anywhere near it. I’m only concerned about not getting involved with stuff like this. I don’t know if there are any other people who would want to help out with this stuff. I’m just a coward who claims to be a good “Catholic “ 😮

      It’s as easy to become conditioned to sin as it is to become conditioned to the smell of a pig sty if you are around the smell long enough, you get to the point where you don’t notice it. The same thing goes for sin. Sad but true. 😢

    The universal suffrage topic made me think. Ya' know, as a Black woman I am glad to be able to vote (2 birds; 1 stone; right? hahaha). But I kinda' get what Pope Pius IX was warning about. The discussion brought to my mind the saying in reference to the Golden Rule, "he who has the gold rules". Hmmm.

    I don't think its a lack of observing how it's done badly because where is the natural born leaders stand up if they be sincere and zealous for thr Lord?

  • @tinakathleen8571
    @tinakathleen8571 4 месяца назад

    On the question of anger each person needs to come thru the logical sequence perhaps?? Things can be mixed up when our love and zeal for God and the offences being directed towards him and our feelings and passions to be practical and to defend God and his church and this anger can be used to motivate us to help instruct thr ignorant and pray more fervently but it can also lead to many subsequent finality between people relationship wise. I have lost many friends along the way for asking questions and voicing my concerns about the jabs before they even come put let alone my love and zeal, for the traditions of the church. Seems Satan is working to end even personal relationships as he calls his fallen souls to finish unity in preparation for his next step.

    Why don’t men get involved? I think it’s a laziness and/or cowardice, not lack of organization. Men should be the organizers, the leaders, not the women. Why is it that I stood in a group of 24 women, most age 60+, two men, one about 70, the other, the priest. We were praying the Rosary outside an abortion mill. Proponents of the sin felt free to spit on us, throw food, drink, objects, and the priest was the only one to step up and defend us. WHERE were the men?

      Well, if I can be honest, I say this. In fact, our daughter says it is partly because decades ago society started telling boys to "be nice", "stop fighting" and "don't be a tattletale" and other really dumb stuff like that. Our society has slowly made our men less manly and our women more willing to step out of the house and do "man stuff". It just seems like parents are not raising their sons to realize that they are to be the protector of the home (which means taking his stand within the city as well) and the women protects the children and is the backup of her husband. (I picture the pioneer days.) The leftist/communist would come against me for saying this blaming that we would be creating bullies and instill violence (as they destroy our cities and our bodies for that matter). Anyway, our men have been taught against taking a stand for Christ and that's what we got for our country. Not good.

    I have a Question Fr. Jenkins. I'm in Rhode Island and all we have is an FSSP parish I am a Parishioner in St. Marys in Providence. I have not been back to a N.O church in over 8 years and will NEVER go back. It has come to my attention recently that they view Bergoglio as the pope. I do not recognize any of the so called popes from John XXIII till and including Bergoglio as Legitimate as well as Vatican II itself. My question is, Because they are in league with Vatican, Rome and Bergoglio, Are Their Masses and Sacraments Legitimate or Illicit ? This has Weighed Heavily on my Conscience or am I just being Scrupulous ? Wish as Many Parishioners do that your Society - The SSPV would come to Rhode Island. Please Help Fr. Jenkins. .....Kevin

      Many Protestant leaders have taken upon themselves to be exorcists. They claim to take authority over the devil and so on. I was told that I had a demon of intelligence by one once when I was a parishioner in a Protestant venue.

      When I behold people doing objectionable things, it never occurs to me that they are offending God. I had no idea that God even could be offended. And it didn’t matter anyway. I only see that I am offended. That clears up a whole bunch! As a former Protestant I was not taught that god had any feelings to hurt! At least if they ever did teach that, it made no sense to me. Can someone say “monster of iniquity?” 😢

      I’m in downstate Illinois and all there is here is an Institute of Christ The King Sovereign Priest. All the other churches are into the New Order. But it came to my attention that the Institute views Francis as a true pope. I quit attending there at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. I began to watch the masses from What Catholics Believe and I have not been to a local church since. And then I try to sanctify Sunday as best I can. As I understand it the FSSP and the Institute are similar in that they have what looks like a traditional mass but they are affiliated with the new order.

      When we asked the same question, years ago, we found the answer in the FAQ's section of the website. Fr. Jenkins says "move". So, we did. But before we moved, we had a nine-hour commute to attend Mass. It is not easy but worth it when it becomes a priority. Now, we know it is not possible for so many to make a long trip or move. I do keep those who wish to attend an SSPV Mass, but the logistics are the obstacle, in my prayers. We have improved our travel time. Now it takes us only three hours to get to Mass (we drive on Saturday; hotel stay; attend Mass; drive home). Our daughter says anything less than nine hours is no problem; haha. There is a financial sacrifice as well. Not easy. There are so many who make those long drives as well even with all their children in tow. Very inspiring. Until you can make it to Mass know that you are being prayed for and the fact that you have "found" the SSPV is praiseworthy. Hooray!

      Moving is not an option for most. Especially the elderly. Many families have relative obligations or depend on one income that requires them to live in a certain location. And btw, SSPV is not the only valid church. By no means. To label yourself as such raises numerous red flags.
