The truth of the matter is that you cannot say "the planets revolve around the sun" in any sort of absolute sense because motion is relative in space and there are no reference points to start from, so you are just creating a local and preferred frame of reference. Saying this is how things actually work is just a modern philosophical preference because they don't want to consider the alternative. The alternative is that the earth is fixed motionless in space while the universe rotates around it once per day. In this cosmology, the planets and the sun both move around the earth together as the planets orbit the sun according to the model created by Tycho Brahe. This saves all appearances. And the earth is fixed because it occupies the space at the center of mass of the universe, which cancels out other local forces such as the gravity caused by the large mass of the sun. The planets all revolve around the sun, but do this as the sun revolves around the earth (center of mass). So you see it all depends on the larger cosmology that one holds. All that is required of a physical theory is that it explains the forces and the observations/appearances. To my knowledge, it is not yet possible to show how things actually are unless you are outside the system and have a God's eye view. Cosmologies are extremely hard to "prove" because virtually anything goes in cosmology. This is how modern "science" gets away with all sorts of inexplicable weirdness. Whenever their theory doesn't hold they just invent a new force or a new type of mass, whatever. To look into this further check out Robert Sungenis's work on Geocentrism.

I see nothing wrong with interracial couples as long as they both share the same faith and morals. A person can share the same race as their spouse but have a rubbish marriage because they disagree on the matter of morals. Or you can have a mixed race couple and have a wonderful marriage. Just my personal observation. For myself, I am of British descent and I married a man who has British descent. I would like to point out that not all white people have the same culture. Italians do not have a similar culture to Austrians. Germany is different from Norway or France. British culture is different from everyone else's except for the countries they maintained colonies in for a long time. I try to maintain a British culture within my own house. I am a tea drinker more than coffee. I will celebrate Guy Falks Day and Boxing Day with the kids as well as the American Thanksgiving day. I will be making a traditional Christmas pudding which is a British Christmas dessert which dates back centuries. And we will send for the traditional tub of British chocolates and have a full English breakfast too on Christmas morning. Every country has its own culture and traditions and I think they should be respected. White people too have different cultures. It's not just one culture, but many. I am choosing to raise my kids with British culture because our heritage is largely British. Even America has something of a culture, though it is not as readily apparent as in Europe. You won't find a national dress here or something like that. You will find pockets of German culture centres and Scandinavian as well. Coffee, however, is a huge part of the culture of the United States. So much so that it is rare to see accommodation made for those who drink caffeinated tea with milk and sugar instead of coffee. If I want a caffeine hit, I have to bring my cuppa tea. You have the book of the Bible wrong Fr. Jenkins. It is 1 Corinthians chapter 11 which speaks about women covering their head in prayer. It does not specify that it should be done in church, but also when "praying and prophesying" . Women in previous generations would have their head covered all the time because of this. A head covering need not cover all of their hair or even most of it. It is only something that is done out of respect for "the angels" as St. Paul says. It does not specify what kind of head covering to wear. One can wear a pillbox hat and still obey the scripture. Or they can wear a mantilla, a solid head scarf, a hijab (but why would they want to?), a snood, etc. there are many different types of coverings out there and a lace mantilla or chapel cap is only one of them. I choose a solid black cotton head veil like a Postulant would wear rather than a lace veil. Lace veils are nice, but they have to be hand washed and drip dried. Cotton veils can be machine washed and dried with the regular wash.

Galileo got in trouble for making theological claims. And heliocentrism was abandoned as a cosmology a long time ago. Modern cosmologies are NOT heliocentric, but deny that there even is a center. So "heliocentric" means nothing today except as a way to explain the thought experiment of a "solar system" considered in itself apart from the rest of the universe. No one can know what is absolutely true about all motion in space without first establishing a definitive cosmology - and that is extremely hard to do in terms of physics. You can do it theoretically, but making claims of the absolute reality of how things are is pretty much off the table for now. You can make arguments from evidences but unless you can falsify competing cosmologies it's very hard to establish your own as absolutely true. What we really have are models and theories.

With all due respect to Fr. Jenkins, I must disagree -- The only reason to visit Germany is to see & experience German culture. Same goes for France, Italy, etc. Separation of cultures is a good thing. It has nothing to do with racism. The goal by the victors of WWII was in part to eliminate cultures for their one world gov't. Sadly, they're succeeding.

Accordingly the first kind of likeness causes love of friendship or well-being. For the very fact that two men are alike, having, as it were, one form, makes them to be, in a manner, one in that form: thus two men are one thing in the species of humanity, and two white men are one thing in whiteness. Hence the affections of one tend to the other, as being one with him; and he wishes good to him as to himself. - Thomas Aquinas

So, my siblings and I are offensive to God because our parents, both devout Catholics their entire lives, married 67 years, both died with the Sacraments; were Irish (Dad) and Mom (Polish)? Both cultures were an integral part of our lives and for most of us, (9, 4 still living) continue to be so. I do think most people, Catholic or not, tend to prefer people of their own race and sometimes, ethnic origin.

“The Church founded by the Redeemer is one, the same for all races and all nations. Beneath her dome, as beneath the vault of heaven, there is but one country for all nations and tongues; there is room for the development of every quality, advantage, task and vocation which God the Creator and Savior has allotted to individuals as well as to ethnical communities. The Church's maternal heart is big enough to see in the God-appointed development of individual characteristics and gifts, more than a mere danger of divergency. She rejoices at the spiritual superiorities among individuals and nations. In their successes she sees with maternal joy and pride fruits of education and progress, which she can only bless and encourage, whenever she can conscientiously do so. … No one would think of preventing young Germans establishing a true ethnical community in a noble love of freedom and loyalty to their country.” Mitt Brenneder Sorge, no. 18 & 34, Pope Pius XI

“That there are lines between classes of people is a certainty that may as well be acknowledged at once, and the color-line is one of them. While it is entirely possible to ignore these lines, the social effect of such action is seldom happy. Just as a member of the true Church is earnestly dissuaded from marriage, by dispensation, with a non-member, so should a member of one race be dissuaded from marriage with a person of another color. In marriages of either type, there is a definite injustice done to children, there are almost inevitable misunderstandings between the parties themselves, and there is sure to be some friction between the families so gracelessly united. - Rev. What of those many, many persons of mixed races? They should remain celibate so they die out? Sure, there may well be social barriers. It very much depends upon where you live and the particular races involved. If a couple neglects to anticipate and deal with these issues prior to marriage, they are imprudent. But if they are willing and able to deal with it, there is no legal impediment.

“The Church of Jesus Christ…is the repository of His wisdom; she is certainly too wise to discourage or belittle those peculiarities and differences which mark out one nation from another. It is quite legitimate for nations to treat those differences as a sacred inheritance and guard them at all costs. The Church aims at unity, a unity determined and kept alive by that supernatural love which should be actuating everybody; she does not aim at a uniformity which would only be external in its effects and would cramp the natural tendencies of the nations concerned. Every nation has its own genius, its own qualities, springing from the hidden roots of its being. The wise development, the encouragement within limits, of that genius, those qualities, does no harm; and if a nation cares to take precautions, to lay down rules, for that end, it has the Church's approval. She is mother enough to befriend such projects with her prayers provided that they are not opposed to the duties incumbent on men from their common origin and shared destiny." Summi Pontificatus, 1939, Pope Pius XII

@@AveChristusRex88, it is rather strange that the topic at hand, namely opposition to race mixing on a purely natural level, was assiduously avoided. It is very clear that divine or natural law do not prevent a man and a woman from different races coming together in Holy Matrimony. The great anti-Nazi prelates like Cd. Faulhaber and Archbishop Grobing were able to correctly identify the error of the extreme racists, without falling into the opposite error, namely a denial of the good of racial consciousness-bounded by Catholic morality-and the healthy and natural preference to want to marry your own kind. Whites are conspicuously called “racist” or “immoral” for plainly stating, like any other race, that they want to marry their own kind.

Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Hinwood O.F.M. THE FIRST PROPOSITION - "Human races, by their innate and immutable character, differ so greatly from each other, that the lowest of them is further removed from the highest race of men than from the highest species of animals." Noting that the above proposition was CONDEMNED in Mitt Brennender Sorge (1937), and an instruction published by the Sacred Congregation of Seminaries and Universities (1938), the distinguished theologian goes on to write: "The existence of distinct races is nowhere denied...Neither would the assertion that these races differ among themselves fall under the condemnation, because if they exist it follows that there must be diversity in order that they be distinguishable at all. In addition the acknowledgement of this difference is common enough in Church documents. Nor do the words "by their innate. character" cause difficulty, because races are essentially groups constituted by heredity, whose qualities in so far as they are racial must be congenital. This fact is likewise acknowledged by the catholic hierarchy." "It is worth recalling, before this discussion is concluded, the remark made earlier to the effect that this proposition does not rule out the possibility of a limited and accidental gradation of races. Because such a relative superiority and inferiority would not as such destroy the unity of mankind. Nor does it seem to be incompatible with the Church's teaching concerning the general equality of all men. -Race, Reflections of Theologian, pgs. 74-76

Catholic Prelates Endorse Italian Racial Laws " For instance, the draft submitted by the nuncio to the Italian government, Msgr Francesco Borgongini Duca, on 21 October 1938, stated that even if the Church could not, in virtue of divine law, forbid marriages between Catholics of different races, it was its duty to prevent the harm of such mixed unions: |The Church| discourages with all the arguments at its disposal, for moral and hygienic reasons, unions between whites and blacks and any kind of heterogeneous union, also to avoid the formation of half-breeds, who combine all the flaws of the different races that are being mixed'. The draft written two days later by Msgr Domenico Tardini (secretary of the Congregation of Extraordinary Ecclesiastic Affairs, Vatican equivalent of a ministry of foreign affairs) summed up the role of dissuasion played by the Church against 'too heterogeneous crossbreeds of races, which often lead to unhappy outcomes' (Archivio Segreto Vaticano, Nunziatura Italia, b. 9, f. 5)." -Valbousquet N. Michael Cardinal von Faulhaber "From the Church's point of view there is no objection whatever to racial research and race culture. Nor is there any objection to the endeavour to keep the national characteristics of a people as far as possible pure and unadulterated, and to foster their national spirit by emphasis upon the common ties of blood-which unite them. From the Church's point of view we must make only three conditions: First, love of one's own race must not lead to the hatred of other nations. Secondly, the individual must never consider himself freed from the obligation of nourishing his own soul by the persevering use of the means of grace which the Church provides. The young man who is always hearing about the blessedness of his own race is apt too easily to conceive that he is no longer bound by duties to God and His Church, duties of humility and chastity. Thirdly, race culture must not assume an attitude of hostility to Christianity." -Judaism, Christianity, and Germany, Third Question: What is the relation of Christianity to the German Race?, pg. 107

Whoever removes the race, or the people, or the state, or the form of government, the bearers of state power or other fundamental values of human community design - who claim an essential and honorable place within the earthly order - from this earthly scale of values, makes them the highest norm of all, including religious values, and idolizes them with idolatry, reverses and falsifies the God-created and God-commanded order of things. Such a person is far from true faith in God and a conception of life corresponding to such faith. Quotes from point 12 of mit brennender sorge. No one is suggesting eugenics or wiping out those of other races and making racial purity. The church does however state that one should defend and preserve their race and not encourage the practice of mixing with other races and groups of people. Without the preservation of European whites for centuries Catholicism would not of thrived and been protected the way it had been. Now we see in Europe and in the US and other majority white nations that the Jews are using race mixing and mass migration of a means of degrading the cultures and people and are destroying the white race and look at lo and behold where the church’s standing is… it’s practically in the catacombs once more. When racial separation was in place the church thrived and was at its peak. After the Second World War and when the Freemasons and communists won their goal was to continue to destroy Europe through race mixing, and through the teaching the hatred of one’s race. And we see the results of this today. Every race and nation deserves to remain pure of it self this goes for black white yellow and red. Nationalities deserve to exist and each has a duty to preserve it. To suggest that it’s okay to destroy what one’s ancestors sought to protect for thousands of years is an absurd and is disgraceful.

No one dislikes a race based on skin color. They dislike and reject based on culture. Based on comportment, on civility, on lawfulness, rather a lack thereof. But to say racism is based on nationality or skin color is really very silly. As we see our nation's cities disintegrate there are certain UNAVOIDABLE and glaringly obvious conclusions we must prudently arrive at. Either prudently arrive at these conclusions or risk physical and spiritual peril by living among them. As a point, witness the extreme lawlessness and danger of certain areas of Queens, NYC which went from quiet, uneventful neighborhoods to complete degradation basically overnight. Over run with prostitution even of minors, black markets, drugs, violence, theft and human trafficking. I challenge anyone claiming to be a non racist to walk through certain neighborhoods, even in the day. Self preservation would compel them not to. And no, it has nothing to do with poverty and inequality. There has been ample time for the cream to rise. It has not risen. The emphasis in television commercials of interracial couples (and homosexual couples) tell me there is an agenda afoot. That agenda would naturally have nothing to do with the good of humanity and tells me all I need to know. Because the Church has no fixed stance or outright prohibition on the issue doesn't mean it's a great idea. Western civilization is prominent for a reason and is attacked by dark forces for that same reason. So let's get real here.

If the Earth is stationary, and the universe rotates, there are no observations demonstrating the Earth's motion. There may well be societal challenges to deal with, more in some places than others. Two of my former students, brothers, White, both met their wives while doing recovery work in Haiti. Both ladies are Black. Their children are mixed. Skin color is only that. So what? Are there racist Catholics? Yes, and it’s pathetic, imo. Can someone prefer to marry their own race and ethnicity? Which church other than Catholic is, One, Holy, Universal (for all people everywhere and for all time), Apostolic?” To found only a local congregation would be an insult to God’s Divinity and Power. It would have faded out over time as pointed out by Gamaliel, a noted Jewish scholar and teacher of St. Paul. Look at Protestantism as a whole. The picture is of splinters so dissipated as unity is impossible. They all purport, at one point or another, to posses the Truth. Towards those who oppose them, they are lacking charity. Not one can trace its specific origins to Christ, much less to the Creation. No provable genealogies exist. To call oneself apostolic is impossible because they are traceable to a man or woman, not God in the Flesh, Jesus Christ. Exactly! It is also worth noting that no scientific/measurement evidence has ever been provided that the earth is in motion. The argument for heliocentrism has always revolved around the ease of analytically solving solar system orbital mechanics as a set of two body equations between planets and the sun. However, with modern numerical methods (a more accurate N-body problem) it is easier to use the reference frame that contains the observer (earth/geocentric) to eliminate an extra coordinate transformation. Practice discipline, and just do it in faith. 2. See if you can link up with others, who also want to pray the Rosary, so that you do it as part of a group. 3. Just as there is a vestibule before you enter a church, create your own personal vestibule, were you prepare yourself for the Rosary.
