Remember as a kid the first time you saw an ancient as an Night Elf? The awe and disbelief that an NPC could be THAT big? And then seeing an EVEN BIGGER ANCIENT when heading into Darnassus? Blew my mind
I was hitting the training dummy in orgrimar and notice a guard that just hits the training dummy as if it's practicing rotations, which made me think "hey when is crendor gonna do pointless top 10 guards" also when that video happens I'd like to nominate that guard in orgrimar
Those are some nice looking Ancients. Defendable.
Please do top ten dinner or dining tables, the big long ones in Moroes area in Kara are what first come to mind for me.

My heart hurt when the ancient that stands outside of dolanaar wasnt mentioned. He was the first ancient I've ever seen as a night Elf player and I was astonished by him
On my list of ancients I'd add Gracus, we meet him in Ohn'aran Plains at the Shady Sanctuary, where he asks us to feed ducklings. Now in the emerald dream he's there again and there's a short questline where we help him pass on, and the now older ducklings are there along with other of his friends.
Don't forget that's he's also one of the easier objectives for soup.
Fun fact: Coral is actually more closely related to humans than to trees!

@@Zepicful Simple really, Corals are actually animals too. So our common ancestor is actually an animal. You have to go further back to find a common ancestor between animals and plants.

I was hoping you’d include the one that circles around Dolaanar. Have so many memories of that guy stomping around. When I first started playing I didn’t know if he would hurt me or not or if I could get smooshed so I always tried to avoid him lol.
Same! I hadn’t made a night elf until I’d watched my parents play vanilla and bc, so I thought it was a “friendly” Fel Reaver. Lol I about logged off and deleted character
Please do like a pointless top ten forests. Was going through Crystalsong forest and remembered how majestic it is even to this day, along with the great ambience and soundtrack. Speaking of, maybe a pointless top 10 wow music, idk, I'm getting ahead of myself lol.
In-game music would be tough because it's subjective, but he could do like a poll of top 10 in-game zone music or something. 🎵
Ancients are some of my favorite creatures in Warcraft. You can never go wrong with big tree dudes.

You forgot that you actually GROW an ancient for a quest in Felwood. That ancient should at least be an honorable mention.

Ironically I don’t remember the name of my favorite ancient, or even where he resides. But one of my favorite memories in the game was my first ever character when I was like 9 was a night elf. Somewhere in the starting zone I saw an ancient walking around and saying dialogue and I was absolutely blown away that this game had treebeard!
I think the circle of ancients in Felwood at least deserved a shout out
A winner, as always. Especially the "Number 1" while 2 is on the screen. Classic Crendor lol. And while I know it technically wasn't an ancient, I did want to shout out the Protector (someday Ancient) you essentially raise in Felwood. It's just a fun little questline with a cute little sapling, who quickly grows, and ends with setting their roots in the very ground they sprouted from to someday protect Felwood. And if we live long enough, we might meet them again. 🥲
For some reason I find it extremely funny that Crendor announces "one" when the number on screen is two.
Talking about ancients there's a great quest in felwood where you help a treant who ends up turning into an ancient
I love the difference in lore and gameplay, hearing crendor talk about how truly god like these guys are and how they're one of the olded things in the world.
And in wc3 it's just, yeah, 150 gold can make one, has around the same hp as a knight.
I want Crendor's official review of the pink Ikea bun with the charcoal sausage. If it's good I'll go get one for dinner!
the ancients are actually really cool. obviously i've seen them in game for years but never had a closer look at them together like this before. cool :D
I was hoping to see either the Dolanaar ancient who wanders around that village or the little treant you raise in Felwood who will one day become an ancient. One that I was hoping that would at least get an honorable mention is the Ancient who makes it to Stormwind with you after the destruction of Teldrissil. He was at Olivia's Pond being healed by druids and at the time I was just grateful that one of them made it out.

Im surprised you haven’t mentioned a single draenor ancient they are practically the opposite from Azeroths ancient‘s and are stuck in a perpetual war with the breakers just constantly fighting against Gronn Magnaron and other races related to the Breakers which is what the Orcs and Ogres are also apart of.
And they are allied with the Botani and Genesour and together they just make war with Giant’s and monsters and it’s just pure chaos, it’s amazing!
Sad you didn't cover the 3 petrified Ancients in Felwood, that place always stuck out to me.
I'd love to see Top 10 Birds. I just like birds. I think they're neat.

Here is a fun wow bug: If your class has a tank spec. Go to the class order hall and switch to tank spec, hit the tanking dummy a few times and build up its “Uber strike” buff in doing so that training dummy can become the size of a literal building.

thought no.1 would be Ancients of Felwood. The first time I pass through there, I thought, wow, what happened here. These huge tree people are they fighting? Are they protecting something? Afterwards, I did quests in Felwood many times, but, to be honest, I never figured out what happened there.
Also fun fact about RU localisation.
In Russian "Tree" translates as "Derevo" or "Drevo" and "Ancient" is translated as "Drevnii".
So they translated those fellas as Dreven' which is hilarious imo... Pointless fact about Drevens!
Imo the old ancient models were so much better. I can't shake the feeling that their head are out of place now, like you could pop it out if you do 3 turns to the left...
Why aren't there any Ancients that look like the ones who shielded the grove?

A lot of the time the Ancients seem like a kind of corollary or attachment to the Night Elves, which is kind of a shame, since they are even more ancient (no pun intended) than them. It would be cool to have some kind of faction or storyline for them specifically.
