Im not sure of something that is similar to Govee lighting on amazon. Just make sure you get something that doesn't get hot since it will be covered with polyfiber. RGBIC is something to look up for something similar.

I have had this for about a year now. Nothing has fallen off. I's sure that depends on the adhesive though. And no smell. Dust wise I can't really tell but I would recommend using RGBIC Led's since they do not get hot and I used the poly fiber material for the clouds.

When you put up your led strips, did you zig zag, spiral or lay them straight? I have to say the lightning/ thunderstorm effect here is one of the best I've seen.

Hey. I used white poster board. I stapled the poster board to the ceiling, then used spray adhesive to adhere the poly fiber to the poster board. If I move, it should be way easier to take down, with minimum damage to the ceiling.

Thank you bro! You are absolutely spot on with 4 strips. I bought two 16’ strips and two 32’ strips of the Govee RGBIC lights. RGBIC is meant not get hot, so I figured they were the best version. For the clouds I used poly fiber. I’m not sure if you are in the states or not but they come in 5lb, 10lb, 15lb, and 20lb boxes over here. Honestly whatever amount you can get your hands on depends on how much you area you are trying to cover. Also how thick you are laying it on. Let me know how it goes and link me to a video if you make the cloud ceiling so I can see how it turned out. Thank you again!
Thank you. Not with the lights I got. The Govee RGBIC are cool to the touch. I also made sure to not surround the rooms light fixture because they do get hot. So far so good. It does make me nervous though still lol.

It looks pretty good. I went up to my room lights with the cloud material but not covering. It worried me about the heat that comes off of those lights.They are recessed into the ceiling so I wasn’t too worried about the look. I do have a moon that I am going to put up in the middle of all my clouds that changes to all the phases of the moon in real time.

It took a long time. I used 40 poster boards at 2 sqft per board. We covered an 18ft x 20ft ceiling give or take.

These are the Govee RGBIC H6126. They have different lengths to choose from also depending on the job.

Yes you can do whatever you want really. Also you can customize each led with a color or certain scene you want. Speed brightness all of that.
