- Kiryu barges into the Snake Flower Triad's hideout to pursue Lau Ka Long and return Haruka to safety. There are two hidden shotguns in the kitchen if you're having trouble later on.
I feel like that poor waiter legitimately didn't even know what was going on. He was just doing his job, and next thing he knows is a man in a white suit uses him as a living meat shield.
Kiryu in Yakuza 0: I refuse to cross that line. Even to save my own life.

I would've enjoyed this section more if I wasn't already irritated coming in hot off the heels of the Akai Brothers battle. I also didn't appreciate getting slapped in the face with so many For Honor flashbacks at the same time with all the dodging these guys do.

Jesus Christ dude. I thought the writers REPEATEDLY said Kiryu has never canonically killed anyone?????? So just purposely getting a man killed doesn't count? That guy clearly didn't even know what was going on or he would have gotten out of the way for his co worker to take the shot. That was literally a civilian
That was a mistranslation that left out the "unless for self defense" part.
Potential spoilers below:
Yakuza 5 kinda referenced that by having a guy groveling on the ground begging for mercy saying "you never kill right?" and Kiryu asking who told him that and saying "I've never been a saint"

love how that waiter just one-hands a fucking AK rifle. at least in the original Yakuza PS2 version, it was an MP5. still a bit of a stretch, but dude, one hand? sorry to nitpick, still a badass scene though.

It kinda seems out of character for Kiryu to take an innocent man as his human shield. I hope there's an explain for this, maybe that waiter guy was also a gang member?

I mean this was the very first yakuza technically, it’s a remake of the ps2 game so I’m assuming it’s just old/bad writing used for dramatic effect
I think they make the waiter in Yakuza Kiwami feels like gang member in disguise. When Kiryu see other waiter call for backup, I can feel the waiter really nervous the disguise will be found out
@@navox4658 on top of this the waiter was well in the way of the bullets he was absolutely gonna die regardless of whether or not kiryu stepped 15 cm to the left or not
The kitchen reminds me of that scene in The Raid 2. Love the Yakuza games, I’m playing 5 at the moment just this and 6 left, until 7 is here that is...
i would have loved a spinoff series of this called Triad, but it probably won't be as good as Sleeping Dogs.

@@Blackwolfninja89 the driving is the worst ive seen in any game, the city is not realistic, the voice lines are cringe and unrealistic(pedestrians), and you just press the same button over and over to attack
