- First long battle of the game. Kiryu is framed for shooting Kazama when in reality he has done nothing of the sort, so he has no choice but to fight his way out of the Tojo Clan Headquarters.

Played through this yesterday, and I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting Majima to jump me halfway through. I mean, in retrospect it makes sense for him to be at the funeral along with Shimano, but still, sonofabitch is persistent XD

That Majima encounter really broke the pace of the entire sequence.
I thought it was something that Majima would totally do personally, and it was explained in a way that satisfied me.
Not really it's Majima he's supposed to be everywhere 😂

That entire first scene makes no sense at all and I love it. Kiryu doesn't even have a gun, there is clearly a bullet hole in the window, and Kazama doesn't even say anything

I know I'm late but the reason I assume why kiryu didn't say anything is because even if he said he didn't shoot him. Everyone just wants kiryu dead other than kazama and majima
Devielleon should get a like for each time that he uses the third final blow with Brawler Style
I remember being a little disappointed by this. This made me expect that Majima would keep showing up at random in EVERY long battle, but as far as I can remember this is the only one he appears in.
Well there is another long battle Majima shows up in but it’s near the end of the game.

It's a shame they didn't keep "ID" that was my favorite part about the original's long battles, but it seems they were going for a more dramatic feeling than a badass one. Either way i can't wait to get my hands on it!
They are both great in their own right. But I *really* love the dramatic feel in this one, it is befitting of Kiwami's new-founded tragic tone, with the addition of Nishiki's downfall and all that.

shimano tried beating the hell out of kiryu for... attempting to kill kazama? Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?
Playing this part remind me of the good old days when Kiryu and Tachibana estate guys escape Tojo HQ. But the music was so inferior to Zero's music. This part would be 10x cooler if the song Tusk from 0 was playing.
Had that feeling first. But now I think get over it is better for Kiwami.
I think the music here is on point for the plot of kiwami, ngl. 38 Tusk is suppose to show how much potential Kiryu has to rise to the top if he tried so it sounds more menancing and baddass, which makes it feel satisfying as your plowing down multiple bad guys and you feel unstoppable as you take them out one by one. While Get Over It sounds more forbidding and emotional that shows the sorrow and grief feeling of Kiryu as the world he once knew and returned to was never the same, which makes beating up the bad guys feel more personal.

I'm gonna have to fight throught his HQ EVERY GAME, aren't I? Also, Kiryu doesn't kill, and even if he did, why would he shoot the only father figure he's ever known?
kiryu also shoots people in the face in which the car blows up afterward
