Deptford Draylon was a spoof of Brentford Nylons from Smashy and Nicey in Harry Enfield sketch show.
Hughie Green, he means that most sincerely folks. And James Bollom advertising Foster's menswear, that's awesome.
A truly horrible man in real life. I remember being shocked when it came out that he was Paula Yates's dad.
brilliant compilation network... keep them coming!
Brilliant and bit surprised to see James Bolan in Fosters.🤣🤣
Marc Bolan declined rightly so it was down to ..the other one in Burmo’s!
And i mean that most sincerely folks!
March The Tailor was a classic ad, with the bloke in a bowler hat, with brolly, marching down the pavement wearing only his vest and underpants.
Great! The first ad 'Leyland Morris Marina' is from 1968.Brentford Nylons with the great Alan 'Fluff' Freeman.I've not seen that James Bolam one for Fosters.Hughie Green in an old Woolworths (Woolco) ad.
Actually the Marina was launched in 1971, so I'm guessing the ad ran during that year.
The Morris Marina (a god awful car) was launched in 1971, so probably that commercial was from around 71 or 72.
Adverts were amazing back then, no wonder there was so many crappy cars on the road.
Hehe so true
All these people are now dead.
