Yeah... Christina told Owen for years, before they moved in together, before he persuaded that they got married that she didn't want a baby. As much as I love their pairing, they sucked as a couple. And I'm totally Team Yang. Twice, Owen used a trauma Christina was going through to push for more commitment, post them having had a major fight. When they fought because of babies and because he still had mixed feelings about Teddy, and then the shooting happened following which he pushed her into marriage. Because that's a sign of a healthy relationship - unstable foundations + major trauma = go for a larger commitment. The second was when from the abortion fight + his infidelity, she suffered a plane crash and look who swoops in to claim Christina. Had she not run away to Cleveland, another set of familiar fights was most likely to happen.
This is not all on Owen yes Christina said she didn't want kids. However Christina is also not doing or taking precautions to prevent herself from getting pregnant. When Owen told Christina he was moving out she should have let him why because she knows he wants kids and ahe doesn't why stay married . When neither are going to give in.Everyone saying Owen shouldn't for or try to make Christina have a baby if she doesn't won't one. Then Christina shouldn't force Owen to give up his dream of having one. LET HIM GO!!!!!M
It was so ridiculous how Owen expected so much from Christina yet he could never EVER take accountability for his actions, he never once said “I’m sorry for putting you in the same OR as teddy after you performed surgery on her dead husband”, he always blames shit on Christina and is so quick to point out other people’s flaws but never fixes his, Christina deserves better and I get she’s not a 100% perfect but at least she tries to take responsibility and faces the consequences unlike Owen who thinks he’s entitled to getting away with everything.
I completely disagree with you. Owen seems like one of the only characters who can put his ego aside and listen to criticism. I loved them together but they didn't fit in the end which is okay. I feel like they were the kind of relationship that taught you about yourself and what you want in life. Certain parts of their relationship were toxic and weren't fixed but they did love each other and to a point they were very good for each other. Just not from a marriage standpoint
@@Caramelletje the thing is he could never do that at times, in the earlier seasons he was way more like that, in the later seasons he could at times put his ego aside but I’m talking about while him and Christina were fighting he expected so much from her and that wasn’t fair at all, it’s like she wasn’t allowed to react or even make a choice for herself.
I feel like they didn't ALWAYS suck but the toxic side of their relationship grew and grew and grew. I don't know why they write Owen this way but for like the last 8 years, all he cares about is how to fit the women in his life to a preconceived idea of who HE thinks they should be. He falls for complicated, ambitious, strong women but he wants to fix them which is a recipe for disaster.
Ya, he married her knowing she didn’t want a kid then pressured her to have one. And when she got the abortion he went with her and supported her. Then a couple months later resented her for it
@Devansh Shah she did break up with him, before the shooting. but after that she got ptsd so he just brushed it off and asked her to marry her. she was scared so of course she said yes
Why does it feel like hes downplaying the fact that he choked her out in a fit of PTSD? Like a person's not to blame for that bit you gotta know hat is a severe thing to happen.
You can’t say to your wife that you’re okay with her aborting the baby and hold her hand during the process and then turn around and call her a murderer that is the most asinine disgusting thing I think any human can do you let alone your own husband Owen did not deserve Christina and that relationship was toxic from the fucking beginning because Owen. Is. Toxic.
She has every right to be upset, but at the end of the day it is her decision and he can have his opinion in the matter if it was his child but if she doesnt feel like having a baby nobody should ever make her feel guilty for it. It is a hard decision for any woman and NO MAN deserves the right to make it for her!!!!!!
LOL! They are so messed and fucked up....its both. Tragic and funny....They are so weird and flawed. I totally love them. The biggest love story of Greys.......so much passion and so much strength........nothing will ever destroy them.
My question is for Christina if you knew you didn't want kids why you didn't get on any birth control? Telling him that you were pregnant knowing you didn't want the baby was like getting his hopes up. Shouldve just had the abortion without him knowing like you were gonna do with Burke baby.
One way or another he would’ve found out she aborted the baby he would’ve seen her medical file, the abortion papers SOMETHING would’ve ratted her out at some point- they were married not dating in high school.

Devansh Shah That’s true, they got married too early in my opinion

He did pressure into having INE until she told him she was pregnant. KNOWING SHE WASN'T PLANNING ON KEEPING IT.
I never liked Owen and Christina. How he treated her about the abortion is disgusting.
Typical white men
Well you're right but can you blame him?

This scene had me rolling on the floor of laughter. I don't even know why they got married in the first place. They were so wrong for each other.

Never liked Christina she's always said she never wants kids so why is she in a relationship
God he was obnoxious in that episode.

who says she wasn't? birth control is not 100% effective.
Oooh gurl...

WOOOOW! This really falls on internal misogyny.
