  • My very first POV street photography video with the brand new Fujifilm X100VI.
    This video was shot in Catania, Sicily, Italy, my hometown, in some of the most picturesque areas.
    In this video I also introduce you to the Timeless Classic Kit from NiSi, a very clever solution to protect your camera and make it even more stilish.

    Hi Luca, thanks for an interesting video. I haven’t been to Sicily yet but will do so hopefully this year. My VI is on back order and some rumours say delivery in June. Please share some more videos. Thank you. Greetings from London.

      You'll definitely enjoy here when you come. Hope you get your X100VI soon, it's a great camera. I'll also be in London mid July, i hope to be able to shoot another POV street photography video there as well.

    I was going to suggest doing a POV of the easter procession but that might be a crazy idea. I have been in Sicily over easter and people are very passionate about this occasion. I really enjoy the channel.

      I won't be in Sicily for Easter this year, but I believe that's a great idea for the next few years... I'll definitely try. Thank you for bringing that up

    I'm excited to keep watching! Paused at first photo, looks great already.
    I have to ask; are you using the built in fujifilm simulations? Thanks!

      @LucaPetraliaPhotography  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks. I planned on using the simulations but I made a mistake and the jpegs weren't usable, so I edited the raw filmed. I plan on doing something with simulations only in the future

    Really, really good point of view video Luca, not to mention excellent images, the black and white touch was great, no distractions, I actually paused the video on each image to really enjoy and appreciate them. I just checked on the kit that you have a link to and it’s on back-order (just like the camera), if the built quality is as good as you say (I'm not doubting you), it’s definitely worth $100 USD. On a separate note, did you give a couple of Liras to the accordion guy playing “Where do I begin”?😂 Be well, stay safe and have a great weekend.

    What about the resistance of the hood? Mine seems to be very unstable and easy removable

      @LucaPetraliaPhotography  3 месяца назад

      Mine is still brand new, it is relatively easy to remove but not to the point where i feel like it is falling if I touch it. I don't know if it's going to last like this or it will eventually get loose.

    lovely photos! after watching both 100vi & xt50 vids, do you tend to like one camera more over the other and if so, which would be your overall choice if u could only have 1 ??
    going with your setup on the vi and say a small fave prime on the xt50
    size, weight, overall ease of use considered
    at this point is this kind of a toss up between both systems for travel, street, hiking, everyday take out kit?

      They are both great options, I chose the flexibility of the X-T50, mostly because I don't love the 35mm equivalent focal length.
      As an investment the x100VI will definitely retain its value longer than the X-T50, but for shooting purposes I definitely like the flexibility I get with the X-T50

      @@LucaPetraliaPhotography thanks so much for your reply! great point on the longevity of $$ value. Yes, sadly most cam bodies tank in resale value. I still have my x100f and always wished for this style camera to be close to what the vi turned to be, minus the old small battery. The IS, tilt screen, etc. Not even sure if more MP’s mattered so now that the 50 arrived it is truly a neck & neck finish. Appreciate your reviews!
