      two occasions.
      the first on a large dose of 4-aco-met. it's a fun tryptamine, so I kind of "romanticized" my consciousness as a mini-me while my actual body is a complex automaton. I visualized the inside of my head as this chamber with this really stereotypical sci-fi steampunk machine and my consciousness is going there to do "maintenance".
      the second time I was on a large dose of 4-aco-dmt which had spiraled into a bad trip. my paranoia made me begin to question if what I'm perceiving is the reality. afterall, the world is only as real as you perceive it. a lot of thought loops occurred and I began to question if I'm actually living, or if the life I'm experiencing is actually me already dying and recollecting my life up to that point. I got out of that trip with the message that death is the ultimate reality check. would not again

    I always wonder how so many people can take psychedelics and just party almost like normal. My experience with mushrooms (and even weed sometimes) always involves a deep internal journey where I follow streams of thought that diverge and intertwine and converge with new thoughts. Like an infinite web of untraveled yet familiar paths.
    My first trip was with one friend at a party full of drunk acquaintances. I had been studying psychology a lot and couldn't stop analyzing everything that was happening. It was like watching the nature channel, the more they drank, the more animalistic they became. Guys were trying to demonstrate their value to the women while subtly subverting any competitor's value by making snide comments. The underhanded and competitive tactics just grossed me out and made me realize human nature and how it is deeply ingrained in every aspect of society. Our darkest desires so thinly veiled by civility.
    Then I thought about the origins of knowledge and how I know almost nothing as fact. All the knowledge I hold is 2nd hand, 3rd hand,.... 75th hand information, and could be wrong or just a total lie.
    I looked over at my friend who was also tripping and asked what he was thinking. He looked up toward the ceiling and said, "That chandelier looks crazy. Where do you think it was made?".

      SweatyTurtle Easier said than done, but you have to ALWAYS!!! go into a trip with a good mindset, intention, and setting. Going to a concert on LSD is incredible, but you have to always set the intention before taking any substances, the more detailed intention the better. Also, once you've taken a certain substance, it'll be easier next time to ride it out if you are going down. Best thing to do in my experience is to stop trying to think about taking a psychedelic while doing so, and when come up anxiety happens just remember it's all part of the experience and will end soon while you ascend into the Universe.

    I think I have the "not interested in normal life anymore" problem. Let me explain, I dont want to be in a constant acid trip at all, just I cant be satisfied with the normal way of life which satisfies the huge majority of society, thus my life is harder. If I imagine I will spend next 30-40 years going to work, so I can gain money to live to next month, so I can go to work again, its like looking into the endless dark pit. Scary and empty. And Im not able to find me a alternative, maybe Im stupid, but I just cant do it. I tryed. But failed. Its a big problem to me. And to see how all my friends chose the same way, nobody invented anything new and just grow older and more uncomplaining and stupid, while losing their lives, is a bit of depressing. I just cant escape it and I feel how this is not the way the life should be. When I speak about it, nobody understands what tf Im talking about :/

    • @Sockmonkeyhai
      @Sockmonkeyhai 8 лет назад +68

      that sounds like depression, friend. when you reach a point where it seems like everything is meaningless and has no worth. I would suggest doing your best to find things that make you think, that shock you, that make you angry, that confuse you. Find things that make you think and explore them. We have meaning here, I promise. But in order to really find that, you have to go through not having it.

      thanks for reply guys, you are both right, its partially a depression, but the kind which must be cured with something else than medicaments. It must be cured by finding my own way to make life enjoyable, like sinephase said. I can do things like music and graphics, I wanted to do a school of art but my parrents said no and that was huge mistake which happened a long ago. I finished some business school instead. Than I went thru like 10 jobs and also lots of time I was unemployed. I even run a big business on my own. Like 50k usd monthly turnover. So I can do a lot of things. But not many things make me happy, including the big business. And I never found a way how to make a living on things I like. Now I again search for a job, its bad. I cant get a job where I can apply what I learned in big business. When I apply for a lower jobs, the fact I ran a big company makes it only worse, they think I wont like lower jobs so they are not interrested anyway (they think "why he applies here after being a Chief operating officer? there must be something wrong with him, lets hire some XXXX instead"... its the way HR operates) So I cant get neither this or that, its fucked, and I dont want those jobs anyway too, so its double fucked :/ And the fact everything turns around a jobs jobs jobs jobs, thats beyond fcked.... sry for being rude

    I've had HPPD for about a year now now from doing 25i (Many times). It doesn't really bother me much though, the only thing is seeing in the dark can be difficult sometimes because of the visual snow. It's sort of just become natural to me now. It's actually quite beautiful during higher dosage LSD trips. The static begins to form fractals and patterns and adds a colorful grain to the environment I'm in. One of my most intense experience at 600 micrograms the static was like these fractal fireworks exploding all across my vision. Despite it being a terrible and anxiety ridden trip, I loved it. The world literally had turned into a Van Gogh painting.

    • @snowzZzZz
      @snowzZzZz 4 года назад +5

      What do you mean visual snow? I've always been aware of the slight static in my vision from a young age but it's only noticeable when I am looking for it, and I've always interpreted it as an inherent byproduct of visual processing (especially in dark environment when your brain is trying extra hard to form visuals from the minimal light entering your eyes, post processing artifacts).
      Is this something completely new that you never had before, something existing that you've become more aware of, or something existing that got worse (not just your perception)?

    So glad you mentioned HPPD. This disorder should be taken a lot more serious. It isn't as rare as you claim it is (in your opinion). You should be very happy that you don't have it. Take a look at the HPPD community on the internet. Hundreds of thousands of people who regret ever having started taking psychedelics. It isn't rare at all, LOTS of people suffer from it. Also, it *is* true that HPPD can last a life time, and it is present 24/7. It is extremely annoying and if I could turn it all around I would never have started taking psychedelics. Also, I have only taken LSD 5 times in my life, and MDMA about 20-25 times, and smoked a lot of weed. I don't think I am this 'extremely rare' case you speak of since 1. I have HPPD permanently 2. I got it after first time use 3. It is constantly present and annoying. My case isn't rare at all, just take a good look around the internet. Look for it, and you will find it. These aren't just 'claims' by people. I mean, yeah they are claims but those people are speaking the truth. Honestly, if I had to make a guess I would say that about 2% of users of psychedelics will get HPPD. That might not sound like much to some people, but 1 in 50 is alot, and it is a large risk to take. Of course everybody is free to experiment with drugs for themselves, but I would hate to see more people join our community because we are going through quite some shit. Yes, you learn to have acceptance and do your best to ignore it, but it can never really be ignored. I'll look at the pattern on the floor in my bathroom, which is a white floor with black squares on it, and I will see negative images of the black squares in between the black squares moving around as my eyes move. That can't be ignored because it is too vivid and present. Also the visual snow is impossible to ignore because it is so vivid and the pixels are pretty big. I would give my life to just have the chance to look at the night sky one more time in clear vision, without visual snow, shadows, after images and stripes completely blocking the view. That's how fucked up it is. That's how much regret you feel when you suffer from this hell of a disorder. I wish I could upload my vision to youtube so I could raise awareness about HPPD. It is relatively common. All these scientific articles claim it is rare, even 'extremely rare', but it's not. The evidence is the HPPD community on the internet. I sure hope none of you get this or already have it like me, but I wouldn't be so sure that you won't get it. I knew what HPPD was before I got it. First of all I thought the exact same thing. I thought it was rare and wouldn't happen to me because I felt I could handle drugs perfectly fine. Secondly, HPPD turned out to be very different from what I thought it was like before getting it myself. I thought people with HPPD wouldn't be able to drive a car because they could spontaneously see something on the road which isn't there. That was retarded of me to think. It's nothing like that. It's a permanent state of visual distortion which you even sort of get used to. It will always bother you because you can't look someone in the eye without your vision becoming weird and your eyes losing focus and you can't look at anything without it being covered in ugly visual distortions completely ruining every view. I wish HPPD was taken more seriously in this video. Especially in the sense that those scientific articles making claims about its rarity are completely bullshit, and that it is pretty common, and secondly about how fucked up it is to suffer from it. If I had known I would get it I would never have taken psychedelics. If I had known the *real* risk/chance of getting HPPD, I probably still would have taken psychedelics but then I would regret it and bash myself even more because I knew what risk I was taking but was still stupid enough to take it anyway. HPPD is in my opinion *the* risk people should be aware of. If you don't have it, consider yourself lucky. I'm not trying to scare anyone because you still have an overwhelmingly larger chance of not getting it than getting it, but trust me when I say that you will say "god how could I have been so stupid?!" when you end up getting HPPD. It is one of the most depressing conditions I have ever encountered. You are totally disconnected from the world around you because your vision is now overlapped by visual crap you don't want to see, and there is nothing you can do to turn it back. Some sufferers are lucky to have it go away after x amount of time, most are like me; suffering for years already and not making any progress, in fact it seems to be getting worse. I've even read some stories of people who's HPPD is so bad that they can barely read. It takes them extremely long just to read one sentence because their vision is all over the place. Permanent HPPD is literally a permatrip, just without the beautiful visuals and elevated state of mind. Just UGLY visual distortions: visual snow, floaters, after images, negative images, shadows, random shapes which are visible because the shape is a different shade of a particular colour of whatever you're looking at. Right now when I look at my green wall, I see a wall covered in visual snow. I see random shapes like a bad rectangle in a lighter shade of green than the rest. The entire wall is filled up with these ugly shapes in a lighter shade of green. Now I see a very light green stripe moving down the wall. The longer I stare at it, the more ransom very light green shapes appear on the wall, together with dark green, shadow like shapes. The wall is in reality just one shade of green, and I can easily see that, but my vision is just covered in fucked up shit.
    Please be aware of HPPD before taking any psychedelic. Sure, psychedelics have *incredible* benefits, I have personally benefitted a lot from them, just like PsychedSubstance, but the HPPD is damn near unbearable in your daily life.

      Nne of the symptoms you mentioned are HPPD kid. Snow visual is one of those things that most people have but don't notice until someone mentions it or they notice it through drugs. it was already there. After images are very normal for most people. If you look at a blue background, look away and you'll see a magenta after image of that shape, its opposite color. Everybody has these to some degree without having taken any drugs. Follow your own suggestions. Look around the Web and you will find that there is a large community of people complaining from visual snow and after image effects. None take drugs. There are also floaters (dead white cells floating in your eye) that are normal and some people consider them unusual and the blue entoptic phenomenon, which are live blood cells that you can see against clear backgrounds like a blue sky. Normal. These are just things people don't notice and some freak out when they do. You don't have HPPD. Look it up. In my opinion HPPD is what has been labeled by a "medical" community referring to a change in perception that you can experience after taking high doses of psychedelics. There are many aspects of reality that you just cannot "unsee" after an overwhelming psychedelic experience. This isn't a negative thing. They are just things that were already there but you noticed through the drugs. Floaters, visual snow, BEP, afterimages, are NOT, HPPD. Do research. Now, there are things called flashbacks that can occur mostly after taking LSD. Remember that this drug is basically synthetic and that alone should be an indication that you almost will never really get real LSD, unless you're a chemist and you make it yourself. This is why it's dangerous. Take shrooms, they are natural and if you are a strong mind can be an excellent tool for self-exploration. Otherwise you might have de-realization. People who don't take drugs experience this too. It feels as if you are no longer part of this physical world. You feel detached. Things might look far away and fake. Reality loses its intensity. It is a widely experienced disorder. If you're hearing voices in your head and actually seeing people or things that are not there, seek help.

      In the end I hope you can accept and live with your disorder. Life is a beauty and it's kinda a gift you can look at it differently. Visual wise.

    I have a history of depression and bipolar illness to varying degrees and still decided to try acid, because I was at a place in my life where it couldn't really get any worse. Acid basically saved me from myself at that time and helped me remove any suicidal thought I every had completely out of my head. This effect has now lasted for multiple years and I am pretty sure it will stay that way. Sure I my depression resurfaced a few times, but never as bad as it was. I can handle it now.
    On the other hand though... One of my trips made my bipolar traits way worse for a few weeks to the point where I thought I might be losing my mind. The thing is... I only thought that because of all the paranoia about psychedelics that is out there. I later realized that it was merely a state of transition where my thoughts and my view on the world got radically altered and shifted to new, more positive ways. It was simply confusing to have to admit to myself how many of the things I thought important weren't important at all, and because I gained so much insight about myself it was a bit "too much to handle" for my concious mind, so it took some time for my thoughts to settle down again.
    It was a unpleasant period and a lot of work on my thoughtpatterns, but in the end it was massively positive for me and my future, as it has clearly made me a better person. (Judging by the reactions I get from others and the calm feeling I have about myself now.)
    Nowadays acid is simply the classical "heroes journey" for me: Go out, explore, have an adventure, laugh, struggle, learn and come back with new lessons about life and yourself.
    Thanks for your time and effort making those videos!

    I have had many life changing experiences that I will never forget, a couple times on an 8th of shrooms, and a few times when taking acid in higher doses, (in the 200-250 microgram range). Everytime making me rethink my entire existence, almost reconfiguring my brain and how my thought processes work. Even on my trips of mushrooms, I have gotten something very positive from it. My mind is open now, and will be forever.

    what I like most about this video is that he realizes when he uses an opinion. He admits and keeps it apart from the facts. he's not just a drugee who wants to tell you about how nice they feel, but he wants you to choose for yourself. That's what makes him so good. I don't agree with all of his opinions, but he doesn't want me to either. Thanks Adam, for this very educative video and I hope you make more!

    After my first time tripping, I wasn't physically or mentally addicted although mentally I loved the thought process LSD put me through. I began researching everything I could about it and became obsessed. As for smoking weed, I can relate to how I can just take a hit and I'm good to go with going back to that "mental state and thought process". Personally after consecutive trips and then finally taking a break from LSD I can say I'm excited about my next trip whenever that does come around. Just know whenever you do take this drug, you're opening more doors than one and in a simplified way of explanation, if you are not good at handling more than one thing coming at you at once I would not recommend trying LSD.

    I got pulled over by a cop on acid once. He drug tested me and it came up positive for cannabis use, but he let me go because I told him I hadn't smoked since the previous night. A few months later, driving past the same spot, I had an acid flashback. After seeing this video and him saying it may have been caused by PTSD, I have had the realisation that every time I drove past that spot, even before the flashback, I would slow down to 5 km/h below the speed limit. Interesting stuff.

    Another thing to mention is that a bad trip can give you random anxiety for a while. I saw things a little differently (faint patterns on static objects like skin, carpets etc) and didn't feel myself for months - I was paranoid about HPPD and had this weird, anxious feeling for about 2 months after a bad trip. I later realised that the visual alterations (that can come back even when i drink coffee) where just a form of pareidolia - something I've always had, the trip simply made it permanently more pronounced, which is absolutely harmless. The anxiety (something I'd never really had before) went after I ended up realising that I was fine, and that the trip actually helped me to improve as a person.
    Still, it's a temporarily scary thing that people should be prepared for

    What kinda bugs me about recreational drugs is the people I take them with. Most of my friends are pretty childish and are more in the search of a good time rather than insight. I've never taken psychedelics before, but when I'm drunk or high I know that I could be thinking about the meaning of life, how electricity works etc, but they always force me into a state of mind where we sit and watch TV and eat really sugary foods. I really want to try LSD and shrooms, but right now I don't have anyone to do it with.

      you can be safe if you put away anything that you think can be dangerous, and have a calm and chilled out music playlist. close your eyes and enjoy.

    psychedelics bring such a feeling of love and coexistence that you can't help but think differently about the world. everyone and everything is beautiful. I suggest psychedelics to people who have maybe forgotten or lost the meaning/beauty of life. it really is a trip

    • @zusk8556
      @zusk8556 6 лет назад +1

      Liam Upper Everyone and everything is NOT actually beautiful and good though, that's the danger of it. There's nothing beautiful or good about someone torturing a baby, eating a live, terrified little animal purely for the sadistic thrill of it, etc etc. Human beings are NOT intrinsically good, and neither is the world. Psychedelics give you the powerful illusion that this is the case, when in reality, it's anything but. At the exact same moment you're viewing the world through rainbows and happiness, some poor thing is being abused or tortured, someone is being killed in a terrifying manner, etc. And it's not just "well if everyone could trip like me the world would be fine," that's missing the point. You have to go to a source outside of your natural state to get that wonderful feeling. It's not intrinsic to your nature, because it's false.

    • @crackeduptv8815
      @crackeduptv8815 5 лет назад +1

      @@zusk8556 dude you completely missed his whole point. Of course he doesn't mean that literally everything is beautiful. He's saying that the things we take for granted such as trees and nature and other things in life that are normal are beautiful. Nobody ever has that realization that doing evil things is beautiful under psyches. In fact they would realize truly how horrifying it is even more so and I believe that yes the world would be a better place if we did some form of psyches because even the worst criminals I think could change from the usage. Psyches make you understand what's wrong in your life by showing a mirror of you to your face and sometimes the thing we see is truly unpleasant. The thing is man is don't come to conclusions that you don't know are fully true.

I had taken LSD just few times and I have to say it was best decision I had ever made in my life. it truly was a spiritual experience for me. For me flashbacks are often, but they're warm and beautiful and make me laugh and cheese out and it's like the sun on my face is cleansing me of all my faults and fears. And only come on when I play songs that I listened to on my trip. Now this all I do. I listen to this music all day and I'm in a constant trip off of it. There's nothing wrong with this. It helped me learn to love myself and my life. It has me made appreciate everything around me and has helped me learn to stop adsorbing vibes and start creating some of my own to send out to the world. Space bubbles/auras are real which is why it's so important to always emit good vibes to everything you come across.

    Took about 3 small golden teacher...1 hour later after anxious comeup everything became peaceful at first. I was euphoric and i was so at peace that i thought i could die happily if i die due to "anything"..i was even ready to face my death and was okay with it....i was so at peace that i thought that even if i have the worst mental illness i can live with this relaxed feeling cuz it exists at our inner core. The thought "We are just experienceing this life and there is no need to be emotional, i.e watch everything like a movie and always smile" persisted and i enjoyed closed eyes dream like visions and open eyed patterns and i was peace with everyone and everything and was giggling alone! I thought a lot and a lot about family friends, myself etc UNTIL! UNTIL i got to the point where i started thinking abt why this universe exists and no matter what i thought i couldnt imagine the answer to it. It felt like i knew nothing. And even if i know about everything then what? I literally felt that and i felt incomplete and bored and then all the peace disappeared. I started felious anxious, paranoid of people nearby my neighbours and then i felt fucking depressed like i wanted to cry but i couldnt. Then i realized then i wanted my ego back..i didnt want to feel depressed..i wanted to forget what i just thought abt the universe...for 30 mins i got lost, depressed, anxious and angry...i tried meditating but i failed...then visuals started getting almost low...i said fuck i need to get up and started cleaning kitched trying to forget what i thought abt the universe. now im okay and im not depersonalized and i m trying to forget that i thought abt that universe stuff.
    The point is : First i thought there is inner peace deep inside us by default and i should always be with that peace and ill always be able to feel his peace if i have gratitude and compassion and let people do what they want without being in control....but after i felt anxious , paranoid and depressed i realized that my body was a jail and was controlling my emotions(after i thought abt that universe)...i even thought i have scriznophobia now cuz i couldnt feel the peace and was anxious af and my thoughts were disturbing (its because i could feel the rush of negative emotions in my body)....
    i opened facebook and saw photo of someone's parents and my thought said "they look ugly"...i got scared of my own thought...they werent hallucinating voice but my own inner voice....
    My conclusion: The human body can make you feel peaceful like heaven or show you your worst nightmare! Its jail as well as freedom. I dont want my body to release chemicals that makes me feel like im in a jail in this body..controlled by the body!
    Any idea what this was all about?

      Actually it's not. To me i got the impression that it was resetting my receptors or something, after the brain zaps, it never happened again. Serotonin Syndrome is highly unlikely to happen with Ayahuasca. I've experienced Serotonin Syndrome from pharmaceutical medications before, which is how you'd most likely experience Serotonin Syndrome before you ever would with Ayahuasca.
      The brain zaps are totally un-related to Serotonin Syndrome. I think it's funny that some people are convinced Ayahuasca requires are diet or can cause Serotonin Syndrome, it doesn't/can't.
      Now if you mix say an SSRI in the mix, you could "potentially" get Serotonin Syndrome, however, my brother and even i myself have taken Ayahuasca while on SSRI's and haven't noticed any negative side-effects, there's also a couple or so studies out there where they've mixed Moclobemide with an SSRI and noted no negative side-effects as long as the dosages were worked out.
      I had the brain zaps when i first started out with Ayahuasca, after awhile the zaps stopped, but now i miss the zaps, they felt pretty good/cool to me. One time though i did try taking a pharmaceutical called Buspar for a few days and didn't take it anymore, then next time i took Ayahuasca i had the brain zaps again, and after that no more zaps. So i do think the brain zaps have more to do with resetting the receptors or something, kinda feels like a form of electroshock therapy lol.

Got PTSD from it for a year and it was triggered when weed was present.....then í tripped on real LSD and my PTSD was gone and i actually had my depression alleviated sooo...these things really need to be researched more. **edit** my trigger was weed because í had drank a shit ton of masculine and then someone caused the worst trip of my life and made me feel and truly believe that they tried to sacrifice me to the devil....felt like the bull í was seeing charging at me was jarring my soul out of my body with each ram....í walked around Tempe for 9+ hours that night. Left the state that next morning.

    once you learn to open your third eye through psychedelic use, there's no going back. if your understanding evolves beyond simply seeing colors and geometry, you can't un-learn that. it's not a bad thing, in fact, the ones who do it just for fun are the ones that have work to do on themselves

    I love your videos so much. Professional, well thought out, and you are someone that respects the drug. You're spreading truth. People typically view bad trips as something horrible... They are petrified of having a bad trip. I do believe these are the people who have learned nothing from the experience... I tripped acid with a couple friends and had a literal nightmare of a trip. Basically one of my friends lost his shit and started going off on me and my other friend, telling us things about ourselves that only we thought we knew... (Well, me) and it was deep. Something that never left my mouth. Stays deep in the back of my mind. This sent me into a serious stage of realization and I made the most positive changes I have ever made in my life, all thanks to that terrible trip... My advice is, if you have a bad trip, maybe realize that someone in your life shouldn't really be in your life, or anything at all... Take a break from tripping for a couple months, reflect and make changes.

    15:05 same things happens to me with weed after psychedelics. I find my tolerance lower than ever and I am in an almost psychedelic head space when under the influence of marijuana. In the most extreme case, I can almost see patterns, shifting, or even color change visuals. Obviously not nearly to the degree of real psychedelics, but still a noticeable difference from when I used to ONLY smoke weed. I enjoy everyday now sober or not. Life's a trip. Great content!

    Ive never been able to get through a video more than 15 minutes long and specially not of one with just someone talking, and if i did i probably got distracted half the time and went on other stuff while watching, but I literally watched every second of this whole 25 minute video.. keep up the good work :) And one question, is taking LSA much different from taking LSD? I've been thinking for a while about taking it but I need some opinions first.. the reason I would consider LSA is because its what they seem to sell in shops legally here in Amsterdam because I have no idea how I can safely get the real stuff. Thanks

    It really is crazy how weed changes after you've tripped, I smoked daily from 18-26 quitting when I got pregnant, so I never noticed after doing psychedelics during that time, however after quitting for almost two years and smoking again it was so ridiculously intense I was honestly worried it was laced or something.

    I have HPPD and at most it's a little annoying, I get visual snow and images seem to leave a faint imprint in my eyes for a second, seems to have made my night vision worse too as I think my brain just focuses on bright lights which dazzles me. I don't really remember it starting but I do remember it getting worse during an extremely stressful time in my life, also I wouldn't say I'm a regular psychedelic user but I have taken some highish doses.
    Anyways, I don't usually notice it these days but it is always there and I still take psychedelics from time to time.

    Psychosis is a possible and very real side-effect from psychedelics, although a lot of users might not be willing to agree. I've witnessed it in myself and recently in a friend.
    My friend is in a manic state. He has a lot of strange ideas in his head. He always seemed like a stable and normal person. I wouldn't have thought he'd succumb to something like this. He's tripped before and things ended up fine, but this time is different.
    He told me he's not going to stop until I accept him as a new messiah, claiming to be the incarnation of important figures from history, and many other things. It would be funny if he wasn't dead serious. Another friend seems to be going along with him, adding his own irrational thoughts, perhaps even having instigated these delusions.
    I'd rather see him ecstatic than depressed, but he's taking it too far. It's textbook megalomania. His thinking is impaired, and he's unable to see it. He rejects every rational argument presented to him; it seems to just fuel his madness. His ramblings keep getting more chaotic and inconsistent.
    It's very scary to witness. I feel powerless. All I can do is hope he'll return to normal in a few weeks. I feel especially bad about it because he wouldn't have gotten into this situation if I hadn't provided him with a certain substance...

      +foxking39 I think that the main one that people worry about the most is schizophrenia. If you aren't showing signs yet of bi-polar, then you may be good, depending on your age. I assume that psychedelics could bring on bi-polar but just be on the watch for any signs of it.

      +foxking39 I'm severe manic depressive bipolar, weed helps my bipolar tremendously and acid affects me sometimes positive, sometimes negative. Like i've been thrown into manic episodes while taking acid but i haven't freaked out or anything and I usually come out feeling better. My advice is make sure the bipolar is under control first

      +foxking39 .. not the answer to your question, but I would advise you to stay away from stimulants and such, as those would probably affect the underlying structures of the disorders you mentioned the most.

    Awesome and very educational video, thank you so much! I have a question though: I've never taken psychedelics before but I would really like to give it a try. I've been diagnosed with ADHD and - as a result thereof - major depression and found that the use of cannabis is really helpful in not just diminishing the symptoms of both but also helping me reflect on these "disorders" on a personal level and thus making me able to cope with them better. As I also love to experiment and from the many stories I've read and heard, I believe that through psychedelics I will be able to experience my subconsciousness from a different angle which would be my main motivation for a trial. Currently I'm taking Vortioxeting (a multimodal antidepressant) and I wanted to know what I should take into consideration before giving it a go. Thank you!

    I liked the part near the end where you talked about being a bar fly. I found that very philosophical.
    I’m kinda surprised that you differentiated flashbacks with HPPD, because I thought they were the same.
    There was a movie about that Beach Boys singer, who was never the same (in a very negative way) after just one use of LSD.
    In my schooling, we had so much drug education that I was very afraid of drugs and anti drug for most of my adult life, but here I am in middle age, exploring mind benders. I guess it’s because I don’t have a future with potential lying ahead, like in youth, and now I focus more on bucket list stuff, and sometimes wonder, what would I do if I knew the end was near? Why, I might be inclined to explore those forbidden fruits.
    I’m one of those who never gets breakthroughs from psilocybin, just abdominal discomfort and very intense colors, open and closed eye, and have to be lying down.
    The trip takes many hours to fade, but as someone who’s on benzos, I’m glad you mentioned it as trip enders, because I’ve always grabbed my pill when I’m just ready for it to go back to normal…but another thing for me, with or without medicine, that you didn’t mention, was once I’m capable of getting up and about, eating a meal. That usually gets me back down to baseline.

    I had flash backs for years after taking LSD for the first time around 18 years old. They were not intende, just drawing patterns with an echo. I later found out that LSD gets trapped in fat cells and released at a later date, not 100% sure if that's true but it seems like a good explanation to me.

    Psychedelics are also non-addictive in a way that the experience is so profound and overwhelming that it feels natural to spend as much as 6 months just integrating, analyzing and looking at the experience from different non-psychedelic angles, and that can be from just ONE trip

    Had a flashback last time I did MDMA, had hallucinations just as vivid as acid trip but only in the faces of my friends around me.
    I tend to see pretty scary facial distortions and my first trip was very scary for me so I probably got that ptsd or something. Thankfully since the mdma was making me happy the facial hallucinations weren't scaring me but was like looking at horror art.
