- Hey guys, in this video I will be installing DNA Motoring headers on the little Ex. I had trouble unbolting the rusted bolts that were seized connected to the flex pipe and the stock cat. I ended up taking my test pipe and having SS automotive exhaust install it for me. Overall, I’m satisfied with the outcome of the two products. I would highly recommend if u are looking for some good quality headers and test pipes, make sure to check out the two products down below. I can say that these two Modz were well worth the money 💰 😀

Wd-40 is a lubricant and its not rlly meant for cracking rusty bolts loose pb blaster isn't a lubricant but is used to east away some of the rusty and penetrate the threads
I realize this was made a year ago but it sounds like exhaust manifold is open at the front of the engine like you didn’t bolt it down correctly or it got loose.
Nah it was fine when I took it to the exhaust shop there was no exhaust leaks found brand new engine parts smoke a lil cuz a special coating on top that’s why u see smoke
How do you take check engine light off i have the same car and the light is on. Plus previous owner put aftermarket headers and high cat. I dont know how to take the light off
Yea man same thing happened to me I trued using my obd2 scanner and it went away but came back I think I got a code of a p0420 which is basically a catalyst efficiency below threshold but that’s cuz I did a cat delete and put on a test pipe but that’s normal it can’t be the o2 sensor cuz that wasn’t the issue. So if u straight pipe or have a high-flow cat or test pipe then that’s normal cuz nothing happened to my car so far and I talked to my uncle who is a mechanic and he said that’s fine

If you take the lower O2 sensor and ziptie it away from the cat it will go away, don't forget to plug the hole in the pipe
Hey man great video, was wondering after 3years how that gasket is holding up? I ordered the exact same headers off ebay but that gasket that comes with it seems flimsy. It still holding up no issues? Thanks

Bro did u have trouble to connect header with downpipe I got a opening it deosnt want to close completly
No I didn’t have any trouble jus make sure u tighten down your downpipe springs tight and I would actually recommend replacing them if they’re worn out

Did that header bolt up to your stock test pipe? I baught same ones figured it bolt right up
Ty C yea it bolts right up the gasket that dna gives u to bolt the header and test pipe doesn’t fit so well so just use the stock gasket instead.

Ty C oh I’m sorry yea idk if the bolt holes on the stock exhaust might be too small you might have to widen the holes to make it fit
@@tyc4037 same man i bought the header but the stock bolts are too small so the header doesn’t bolt up to the downpipe did you find the right sized bolts?
Yea I bought the dna headers and test pipe so the dna test pipe or high flow cat bolt holes might be different sizes then the stock cat pipe

They are hfp side skirts and the body kit came wit the car when I bought it so u can prolly find it on eBay
Im planning on doing a similar build but i wanted to know if magmaflow exhaust bolt straight on to the test pipe

I think eBay might still sell them I’m not so sure but the test pipe I got is from dna motoring idk if they still make them anymore

Yes u can one of the other separate I just bought it in a kit cuz it was cheaper but I love the setup I have now wit the dna test pipe not so much the headers I don’t really care about what it looks like now cuz I plan on turbo my car so I won’t need them headers no more. The con about them headers is at first it turns into a rainbow color header then over time it looks like a burnt rusty look if I went back and did it again I would have invested my money into ceramic coated headers like dc sports 4-2-1 long tube headers and not 4-1 dna 🧬

Can you actually feel the vtec on you’re engine ? Like an acceleration wise ?
Yea I can feel the vtec but I couldn’t feel as much stock but when I added all my performance mods I can notice the difference in vtec but it doesn’t kick in like most vtec in other gens due to our vtec being an economy vtec.
Basically in other words the 7th gen civic vtec is more for fuel economy then performance

bruh, I'm having trouble with my headers and downpipe. I think my down pipe is 3" and are not aligning with the headers
U prolly got the wrong sized downpipe that doesn’t match wit the size of your header outlet plus u need the donut gasket to connect the two together

It came wit the car when I bought it but I’m not sure if they sell the hfp body kit anymore online… might have to do your research on that one sorry

CIVIC SI 047 because the smoke went away cuz I used an engine degreaser my car is running fine

I ain’t no rookie no more but there was never no exhaust leak I got it checked out and it runs fine.
