What’s a y8 mani swap? Do you have a link to buy? && what about a throttle body? && with you getting all that stuff it helped with gas mileage huh? I’m trying to knock everything out all at once
@@yeahbuddy24lsx a y8 mani swap is an intake manifold from a d16y8 em1 Honda Civic from 96-00 it’s a commonly swapped part for the 7th gen em2 but it helps out a lot in top end power along with making deeper engine noises. Most people swap it cuz of that reason and it’s good for turbo cuz it’s made outta of aluminum while our stock intake manifold is made outta of plastic and can’t handle too much boost. I have future plans to turbo my car so i wanted to do the Y8 mani swap
@@yeahbuddy24lsx and yes swapping over to the y8 manifold swap gives u more options for using different throttle body sizes u can also use a skunk2 pro series intake manifold for a 6th gen civic 96-00 but like I said u have to modify the y8 mani to fit the em2 head. But there is plenty of forums on google and on yt that can help u complete that project or swap if u are interested.
Also there is no link to buy these intake manifolds u can source them from your local pick and pull junkyard off an em1 Honda Civic from 1996-2000 but make sure u get an intake manifold off a d16y8 engine and not the d16y7 or z6

It’s not raspy at all in person more so deeper tone and louder wit my y8 Mani swap too that’s makes a huge difference in sound compared to the stock manifold paired up wit my exhaust setup lol
It’s cuz of the cheap spec d typical raspy sound wit those exhausts for sure I have seen so many videos on driveby of rev videos wit that exhaust this was back before I even did my exhaust install video doing a bunch of research on different exhaust and how they sounded that’s when I fell inlove wit the magnaflow exhausts deep tone but not to raspy or loud at idle. At the end of the day it’s all in what u want when it comes to sound and how much u willing to pay for it lol
I got the 01 Lx with out the spoiler I personally think car lost sexy with out the spoiler and then a lower front lip makes the stance look mean if you don’t want the coil overs in that moment and obv rims and tires are a necessity

Patrick Bartle I say it’s worth it to install an exhaust but make sure not to get a cheap quality exhaust such as dna motoring or like spec d they tend to make the car sound ricey like a fart 💨 can people call it. Since it’s an auto too it will have that auto drone sound. Other installs that will make the car sound better and louder is an intake and header.

Ben Pyle my shop charged me only $160 which is really good. They did an awesome job! Over the phone they told me $300 coming in but then later on it changed once they actually did the work. But thanks for the support ❤️ And yea I know I’m working on getting some coilovers next preferably raceland ultimos.
HoracioGames and for the the test pipe install they did that for $60 which was a deal cuz the guy told me a higher price coming in then it actually ended up being a lower price that was the same wit the cat back exhaust install originally it was $280 then end up being $160
MG Modz ok thank you I just wanted to see how much I’m looking at with my hopefully civic setup. I got and ac problem and an oil leak somewhere by the engine cause by the side of the header there is always a film of oil so gotta see my costs
I have three catbacks in mind rn. 299$ Srs, 375$megan racing, and 469$ Greddy ti-c. I wanna get the hks hi power but hks only makes a axle back for the em2. Im temping tor order the greddy rightnow but my custom uel header isnt here yet. I currently have a magnaflow 10416 muffler/resonator welded on the stock pipes. It sounds nice but 1.75in stock piping lmao. Doesnt rumble enough for my liking yet.

Yes big difference also improves throttle response along with acceleration. But the header and y8 mani swap make a big difference as well.

Yes the fuel economy improved not tremendously but a lil bit more when I installed the exhaust
