Great video on the Sunbeam! I have the same machine and I think its great value for the feature set. Quick heating, 58mm porta filter, PID, non pressurised baskets, adjustable brew temp and shot volume with a grinder included. After some dialing in it makes great consistant cappuccinos and lattes! I need one of those grind catchers as thats the only fault. Its a bit messy. For reference the settings on my machine are 16g coffee, 94 degree brew temp, 36 gram shot at 26 sec extraction. Grinder is set at 22. Without spending thousands Im struggling to find an upgrade option to better performance of this little beauty.
Finally got around to making a coffee video!!!!! I’m very happy with my setup and want to show you all how I generally make my coffees. Let me know what sorta coffees you’re into and what videos you want to see 😌
Hey, I was wondering how is the machine going? Some people said in the reviews that after an year of use their milk wand doesn’t heat properly and they need to wait for 20 minutes for the wand to heat up?
Good morning, very good video, thank you very much. It is the same as the one I have Oster perfect brew which number of ground you use. I use number 17 and the extraction is very liquid when pouring the milk I don't get the latte art.
Does anyone know where you can purchase a 58mm bottomless portafilter for this machine? The three prong version seems to be hard to find... if they exist that is 😅
Hey Sam we've spoken before , hope you can help me my machine won't turn on this morn only the milk light will go on , and I can grind beans so power is there , just don't know what to do as no where in instructions says about this problem ? Any ideas thank you x
I'm looking for some help. I've recently purchased a breville barista max machine, that has a 58mm 3ear portafilter, do you happen to know of any aftermarket portafilters that will fit it? Ive spent hours looking :(
Heya! Have you used this machine to froth other plant based milks such as coconut milk or almond milk? If so, does the wand do a good job? Have used other cheaper home machines and it doesn’t do much to the plant based milk. Thanks!
Hi! I’ve done almond milk with almond breeze and it was like oatly for me which is great. When I worked at a cafe in the past, I found that it’s really dependent on the brands. Even with a commercial machine(not this one) I found raw almond milk and some coconut milks quite problematic. When I compare this machine to a commercial machine, obviously it’s not super strong but it does produce similar results which is great.
You most likely need a finer grind on your ground beans and give it a slightly harder tamp 👌 because if coffee is too course it’s like a filter it’ll just come out watery
Hey Sam I just brought this machine and I’m struggling with the shot part when the coffee shot comes out it’s extraordinary slow and I barley get a shot out did you have this problem and how do I make mine normal like yours is flowing out
Hey Sam, nice video! So do you only put the beans you weighed put for that drink into the bean hopper? I'm looking at this machine (but under a different brand name here in the US) and having never had a machine with integrated grinder I thought you might have to keep more beans in the hopper? *Btw this soundtrack with her visual of he steaming milk was super relaxing! 😂
For the price you pay for the machine, I personally really like it. I would recommend going to to get a feel of the different machines first at the shops if you can!
very good one I can tell from my experience with the machine because I have had the same machine for a year. very reliable and user friendly alway making a good tasty coffee. the milk frothing is a breath taking, with the full size group head being58mm I reckon it makes even better coffee than the Breville espresso. definitely recommend.
May I ask what grind setting you set at? I have this machine and grinds go absolutely everywhere on oily beans , some beans not so bad... but I probably need catcher too... just also wondered what grind setting you do for oily beans or have you any tips .. thank you for your time 👍
Mine is doing the same. I am using Campos Beans at the moment and still playing around with best grind settings. I think somewhere between 20 and 16 should work best. Will keep practising!
Hi! What I found was the grinder is great and consistent but I do recommend getting the coffee catcher as it does get messy and you waste some coffee grinds. I wouldn’t put a specific setting number on oily beans as different beans regardless of whether it’s oily or not will have a different grind size. My beans that I’m using is currently set at 18 grind size. You can try starting at this size. There’s a lot of variables to consider. What I recommend is; keep the same weight of the coffee beans and also weigh out the extraction. I use the 1:2 ratio. I like to start off with 20g coffee beans grounded / 40g espresso extracted. If it’s too watery/sour make it more finer(adjust to smaller grind size) or if it tastes too harsh/burnt, make it coarser(adjust to bigger grind size). It takes time to get in the groove but once you do get it, it’s easier from here on out. I hope this helps!
@@alfiebob1328 don’t be sorry! It took me some time to understand this too. 😆 20g is referring to fresh ground coffee beans in group handle. 40g is referring to the weight of the liquid espresso after you extract. You just need to put a scale under your cup before you press the button to extract and weigh the liquid, then stop the extraction at 40g.

hi Sam, are you still using the machine?, would you recommend it?
How is your dosing funnel staying in place? I bought a dosing funnel and it keeps popping off when I go to grind my beans
Hello, thanks for the good review. Do you still use this machine? Do you "still" recommend it ? :)
How do you get the used grind out the the handle when finished? When I bang mine the whole cup falls out with it..

Hey. Liked the video. Are you using a does it come with a pressurised or non-pressurised basket? Thanks!
do you get real baskets with this machine? or pressurized?
I bought this machine too, but I am failing to make latte art. Can you provide pouring tips please.
Where did you get your dosing funnel?
Where is that coffee from. Also the music too.

What grind setting do u use?
Is the steam nice and dry or a bit watery like the cheap appliances?
As you can see in the video it does turn into a nice dry steam. Doesn’t stay watery throughout
Is the machine still working?
Is it noisy?

Coarser grind
I want to ask about the size for portafilter 51 or 53 .. please 💕
It’s 58mm ☕️
Did you use the double walled (pressurised) coffee basket? Or non pressurised basket?
I used non pressurised baskets

the ratio is 1x1??
