Foo fighters are one of my favorites and my adult sons. It was one of their top concerts, they wanted to go to at 16&14. On my son's birthday, i shocked them with tickets and passes! They met the band, and Taylor was wonderful to the boys - he shook their hands and said he was their biggest fans 😂, nervous kids lit up! When he passed, my 26yr old called me upset. It was a heartbreaking shocker. Taylor gave it all when he played, and sang! But his drumming was as outstanding as his infectious smile and how he treated every kid who were star struck at meeting him. All their characters shined but he truly left a impactful memory on 2 nervous kids, who grew into men. We all mourned. The tribute concert was truly honorable. When his son played, this momma was a crybaby! He was smiling up in the heavens!

Taylor was my neighbor two doors down when he was in high school my daughter used to go down with her friend and listen to him practice. He practiced all day it seemed every day till late in the night. A couple times I poked my head out the door and said Taylor it's midnight no more. He was polite and friendly and a terrific kid. It's a waste that he died and it's ridiculous it was drugs. R i p add playing God's band in heaven.😢

Drummers have to be athlete's! Taylor had to work harder than anyone in the band every night and I think he needed a break and couldn't take it because he didn't want to disappoint the fans or the band so he pushed himself even though his body was telling him to rest.
I think it was exhaustion and any drugs that he was using he'd probably been using just to keep himself up and running at 100% and then something to come down with after a show . He was probably running on empty and adrenaline so he'd have needed something to allow him to sleep.
Taylor wouldn't listen to his body and alas, I think that's what killed him and not the drugs necessarily. If you wanna blame drugs they'd only have been a factor if you consider he was trying to deal with the exhaustion but it was the exhaustion that caused any ups and downs (weed isn't a factor).
God rest his talented and beautiful soul ✌️❤️🙏

I’ll never truly get over his loss. I had tickets to see them on that tour, 60 days after he passed.
I saw Queen in the early 80s, and Taylor Hawkins was the only singer who could pay tribute to Freddie Mercury when singing Someone to Love. I love the Foo Fighters; they’re my favorite band. But I wanted to hear Hawkins sing that song.

Has anyone ever played drums for 3 hrs straight with a mini break here and there? It's a full body workout, triathlon and sprint run..and to be 50yrs old and do it, is on a different level of body exhaustion all together!
People can be crap talkers all they want, judge others all day long without a ounce of empathy or understanding..
here's some fun facts for ya as you get older.. around 40s, you will start getting arthritis in joints, sore spots in muscles, ect..you will feel battle wounds of aging! Now if you do the same repetitive physical demands on a daily in your career - they will get arthritic over breakdown of tissues at a increased state. Now combine progression in age, along with repetitive hard work and you have osteoarthritic pains you can't even imagine.. well you won't understand it until you live it!
I know many people who lived life without fats, processed junk, alcohol and drugs.
One in particular, my friend Matt Who had that diet, ran marathons, even fricken climb everest at 30, died during a 10 mile slow marathon at 33 from a heart attack infront of me,his mom & dad! Other 2 people are my respite patients, who have cancer - one is 25 and other is 47yrs old..no cancers or heart disease in the family on all of them either. Both had not even tried fried foods or alcohol before either..never had a hamburger with a beer until hospice wish!
Taylor had a heart double the size, it could be associated by genetic disposition! Nobody knows when they'll die, but make no mistake - you live past 40 - you will feel your body pains and if you're doing anything labor intensive or repetitive - you'll feel it faster! Even keyboard warriors will get carpal tunnel syndrome at some point! And you will take some sort of pain control meds - from opioids to even Tylenol, maybe even steroidal shots to cut the swelling in half..those who don't try to find pain control in diet and herbs..either way - ALL try to find comfort in pain, one way or another!

Dude Dave Grohl ran Taylor into the ground he had pleaded with Dave for a break from the touring they literally toured non-stop for almost 20 years man. You do that kind of touring and being a drummer especially and not take any drugs for pain, his back was jacked up like most drummers that had been doing it that long and at that pace. Everybody thinks Dave Grohl is this goody goody nice guy in reality those closest to him say he's almost impossible to work with he's a narcissist and a major A hole and that he would throw his own mother under the bus if it meant another dollar for Dave Grohl INC.

Given how quickly well-trained athletes can deal with cramps, muscle fatigue and nerve irritation, Taylor had to almost completely rule it out during the 3-hour show. Also, after 40 years of playing the drums, it will have had signs of wear that can be very painful (speaking from experience). I recently read that he wore compression stockings from time to time because he could hardly feel his legs at the end of the show. Taylor said a while ago he doesn't know how much longer he can play at this level. There just wasn't enough recovery time between shows either. As the drummer, Taylor had the most energetic work to do on the three-hour show. Anyone who has looked at the last tour schedule can understand that he was afraid of this burden. I would have liked a little more support for Taylor from the band.
With extensive fitness training, accompanied by fitness coaches, Taylor tried everything that was possible and gave us everything.😢😢😢💔
We can't give him and his family enough respect for what they have given us over the years 💔😢🖤🙏
All my love and prayers are always with Taylor and his beloved family 🖤🙏
    It hurts endlessly....💔😢

Dave Grohl ran Taylor into the ground, Taylor had pleaded with him for a break from the touring because they had basically toured non-stop for 20 years since the day Taylor-joined the band. I've been playing guitar for 30 years myself and just from holding a guitar around my neck for 3 hours a night 3 or 4 nights a week for that long has got my back screwed up, I can't imagine what drummers go through especially one non-stop touring. Taylor had said on multiple occasions that his back was jacked up. Try playing drums for that many years at that level and not do any drugs!!! Dave Grohl is a monster, he knew Taylor was struggling with a drug problem and his health was questionable and still kept pushing it, dude actually OD'd on multiple occasions and Dave just went on like it was nothing. He's not this nice goody-goody guy like he plays off to be, so many people that know him and have worked with him say he's almost impossible to work with, that it's his way or no way at all and that he's a major A-hole and he's just really shity to his bandmates sometimes especially the early days of Foo Fighters said he treated those guys like pure garbage, hell he erased all Williams drum tracks on the 3rd album and went back in and re recorded them himself and didn't tell the guy until the album was released and then fired him!!! That's seriously messed up man. Dave would throw his own grandmother under a bus if it meant another dollar for Dave Grohl INC...

It wasn’t drugs like cocaine. If i recall correctly there was weed involved but most of the “drugs” were opioids and anti depressants for dealing with pain. Several opioids from the US are so strong they are forbidden in the rest of the world but you can still get them without doctors orders in the US from a drug-store. These are very dangerous, and very addictive and very heavy on your body. Lots of Americans just takes these regularly/daily without even needing it but because there addicted. Taking these in combination with alcohol is a very regular thing to do but also a very dangerous combination. Since your not advices to combine the two. So this is like gambling. It almost always will be ok, until it goes bad/wrong. Even advils (which are pretty harmless and you can get them all over the world) are very bad for your body combined with alcohol. And jet dave grohl takes them together before every show. Not one but a couple. Its bad and very dangerous for your internal organs.

Everybody "loved" the guy....his drug addiction was just part of his lifestyle and personality...and all these great friends of his liked partying with him all over the world for years and years. And nobody did a goddamned thing to help the man. His drug use was widely accepted and considered as part of his charm and likability. But the fact remains, the guy was a drug addict who was slowly but surely killing himself. And you'd have to be a complete idiot or just not care enough to do anything about it. And as much as I admire and respect Grohl, I was highly annoyed and disappointed that he allowed it to continue. And during those tribute concerts, all those great musician friends of his got up there to perform and celebrate their late friend's life. But, not a single word mentioned as to what killed the man. I saw it as a very important opportunity for discussion, just completely wasted. And that too is a tragedy. So, the issue is closed and yet not resolved...and so it goes...and life goes on. Who drops dead next ?

If you REALLY love someone and see that they are killing themselves, that’s when an intervention of some sort, is necessary. It doesn’t matter who it is but it does have to happen. I’m sure there’s a lot of individual and collective regret there. Very sad.

    It's terrible that he's gone
BUT he was a grown Man,
    completely aware of the dangers
    of drug abuse.
He knew the stakes, and accepted them.
May he rest in peace 🕯

It would be hard for me to be that "On" so intensely so many nights a week/ year that a rock tour requires.
    Even more so at 50.

Why not release the full toxicology report?
They said 10 different drugs in his system at the time of death, what kinda drugs are we talking about? Cocaine? Heroin? Fentanyl?
I don't know much about Taylor Hawkins, did he struggle with drug addiction previously?

Dave Grohl was really pushing the covid shots on everyone. I think one damaged Taylor's heart and he couldn't take the Columbian drugs. So sad he was a great drummer.
