This series is no where near over. I love you all, this was such a incredible journey. I think this is the end of chapter 1 of this series! This game is easily one of the best games I have ever played, I hope you all enjoyed the ride so far.
Well, I hope that doesn't mean you're taking a No Mans Sky hiatus. It's been a pleasure to watch your enthusiasm for the journey. You keep the fun rolling for the NMS community and it is much appreciated. But there is much more to explore in the NMS universe my fellow traveler...
I have (no joke) around three thousand hours on my two nms saves! I keep coming back to nms every time i stop and play something else. And there is STILL a lot to do!
From a Reddit post; Green/Lush takes you to Eissentam, higher percentage of lush paradise style planets, this is the easy route, and 2nd most populated galaxy (behind Euclid). Red/harsh takes you to Calypso, a higher percentage of harsh and exotic/anomalous planets, a majority of planets have high sentinel activity and dangerous storms. Even the "paradise planets" are rough as they have constant storms and sentinels that never leave you alone. (This is my current home for the foreseeable future since I like a challenge.) Blue/empty takes you to Budullangr, which has a much higher percentage of dead/empty and exotic planets. Honestly this seems to be the most realistic of the ones I've seen, but can be tough finding the resources you need, especially carbon and life based elements. Normal takes you to I believe Hilbert, is a balance of most planet types with 2:1 chance for lush or dead planets, this is the 3rd most populated galaxy since most people choose lush in the quest line, and few make it to Euclid center or choose normal.
@@johnmiller2689 based on john wanting to explore and find the perfect paradise planet i KNOW he will love Eissentam! After all you can always go back to Euclid
The first thing I do in a new galaxy is put down an “anchor” base so I can always get back. It’s easy to accidentally teleport back to an older base and find yourself in the wrong galaxy. Though Eissentam is usually easy to get to via a Community Spotlight base in the Anomaly. Eissentam is the 10th galaxy, iirc, so it’s not the one you get by going through the center of Euclid.
Your raw enthusiasm is so infectious (in the best of ways). I barely remember my first journey, but this brought it all back. Thank you, and don't ever change!
This was an amazing chapter in the story to see, Jon. Don't worry. We will get the chance to re-do the current years Expeditions. I love watching the RUclips version even after being part of the Twitch team. Talking with other people in chat and going online to look stuff up makes me miss some parts. Plus I get to see everything you did before I joined from the East Coast. Love this playthrough. You are so fun to watch and experience the game through fresh eyes. Be well, fellow Traveller.
O2 was removed from the sales terminal and pilots several major updates ago. O2 has to be gathered from hazardous plants or planets side collection points. ( ie make a farm base)
You can get the colored metals from breaking down some ship, exosuit, freighter or multitool mods, or from Anomaly missions, or from digging up some hidden caches!
Don't worry about the galaxy you chose. Check the big teleporter in the Space Anomaly whenever there are other players. Other people's bases are occasionally in different galaxies. Easy way to get to random galaxies.
The memories, I can't remember how many years has passed since I completed this quest, but it's quite a few. However I think I'm one of the few players who refused the Atlas, never reset the simulation and I'm still in Euclid galaxy...and I'll be there forever :D Anyway great series of videos Jon, I'm curious to see what you will do next :)
They always do expedition reduxes near the end of the year, so don't worry, you can play all 4 of the ones that came out this year from November to December.
started watching casually... but watching you go through this game for the first time, and your enthusiasm, lol man it's entertaining. I'm a day-1 player, fun to see others discover the beauty of nms, keep it up
1:46:59 I feel for you man! I felt the same way. I bet this is the one spoiler you would have actually wanted to know! Change to a burner ship and multi tool before the reset!
SPOILER FREE John has sooooo many treasure items to break down for upgrades!!! Like salvaged glass, and i saw quite a few weapons cache kinda stuff to break down too. He would instantly have about five good upgrades.
If you are looking for a specific element go to your option. go to the catalog and Guide and search in materials and items. find the element you are looking for, click on it and game will literally show you then exactly on the galaxy map the closest source for that element. lot easier then jumping all over the place and scanning every planet.
You know know when you access the freighter inventory it shows you the stats right? And it very clearly lables the jump range. And it is pretty feeble ( 498 ly of i am reading the tiny screen on my phone correctly) a decently upgraded personal ship will easily jump 5k ly's
You keep saying you are learning, I would say you are doing. You still dont know where to get O2, how to make warp cells or better yet warp hyper cores....and to always have some on hand. You have not learned....you have blundered about to grand extent. The blue yellow and red star systems introduced on like day two when you found you could create the color specific hyperdrive upgrades. ......I am still watching episodes but it is as frusterating as watching children play.

That's a nice galaxy Jon you do good work 👍🏻
Keep them coming Sandman
I love how Sean is randomly all “🤬🤬🤬”
New update coming soon 🎉
Expedition runs until Monday. As long as you started it you can go back to it up until then.
Btw Jon, update incoming. They're gonna have you play this till you're 90!
I got that reference.
Life is a mystery

This episode was so climatically amazing and I cant wait for you to uncover the other stories within the No Mans Sky universe.
I did fishing expedition :) It rlly didnt take much time and it was quite nice experience.

I love how you always ask I can make a warp cell right?!?!
Literally beat the game and played 40 or 50 hours and still has no idea how to do anything ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️ makes me scream
The Expedition ends on the 21st so you can finish the expedition
Your raw enthusiasm is so infectious (in the best of ways). I barely remember my first journey, but this brought it all back. Thank you, and don't ever change!
Always a great day when I see a Jon upload on my RUclips feed
The chromatic metals are tied to the star colors. Yellow = copper, Red = cadmium, Green = emeril, Blue = indium.

You get oxygen on water worlds by processing kelp sac. You get condensed carbon from cytophosphate, and sodium nitrate from crystal sulphide.

The vastness of this game is breath-taking. No other game came even close to what this game is..
They always do expedition reduxes near the end of the year, so don't worry, you can play all 4 of the ones that came out this year from November to December.
After countless times of hearing Jon erroneously use the term "another galaxy", he is now finally *actually* in another galaxy XD
Loved it, dude.
Also, the chance of rare materials increases with star type, yellow has the fewest, blue has the most.

You are now the destroyer of worlds. You killed me. You are now like the atlas. Love the series. You are no way finished.
Welcome to Eissentam, Jon! This galaxy has been my home for a while
That was an amazing episode man. The buildup and discoveries all leading up to your choosing a new galaxy was so cool!
Nice Jon. You chose the galaxy with the most paradise planets. It is the galaxy I chose to settle down in.
You have chosen wisely.
Welcome to the Eissentam Galaxy. 10th out of 255 galaxies.
Been meaning to tell you: your sentinel ship has like 2x or 3x the hyperdrive range of your fighter and freighter

Dooooown with the Fishing Expedition. There is only communion. ⚛️
Failing to complete the Aquarius Expedition is not the worst that could happen.
Does that song go hard or WHAT?!?! LOVE that song (Supermoon by 65DaysOfStatic)
What happens is different based on the choices you make. It would help if you made this series into a playlist so we can recommend it to others.
We all knew you were failing the Expedition, i wouldve been more surprised if you had finished it
Jon + no mans sky = my happy place
That was the best! What a journey!
No spoilers. Upgrade your freighter.
jon you can still do the fishing expedition untill monday u have this weekend to finish " update likely wednesday "
Jon - no spoilers, no spoilers, don't tell me anything, ok.
All of twitch chat about to warm him of his stuff breaking when going to a knew galaxy - 😅
My only wish is that you had checked all 4 types of galaxies you could have created. Still, Great job man, but you still have lots to discover.
So close, and yet he never did make it to the center and go through. Got distracted by the atlas path.
You know know when you access the freighter inventory it shows you the stats right? And it very clearly lables the jump range. And it is pretty feeble ( 498 ly of i am reading the tiny screen on my phone correctly) a decently upgraded personal ship will easily jump 5k ly's
Still waiting for you to get your first living ship.
Expidition is not over....just go to the anomaly and you can start it there...ex. is over sunday night early Monday morning....
No mans sky will get an update next week
You can do a lot of the fishing stuff and craft everything aside from the expedition just no tutorial
Welcome to my home galaxy! 🎉
I dont mind the expedition :) you do you ❤
Was do mad you choose blue or light blue and then found out green was best option for the lush I was like not mad lmao
*New Emoji Dropped* possibly big update incoming!
You should be tracking materials in your menu
you still got 3 days for expedition. do it! finish it quick. it should be on your 3rd side mission menu. you have 3 pages of side missions. lol
Cash in milestones for nanites at anomaly
Yo, I know it a grid but you are missing so many suit slots by not hitting space stations and anomaly ever systems you go to.
Didn't you complete artimis to get all the glyphs
Some people on your chat gave you bad info.
😋
Ummmm... Expedition runs thru the 20th
Honestly...nope
You keep saying you are learning, I would say you are doing. You still dont know where to get O2, how to make warp cells or better yet warp hyper cores....and to always have some on hand. Wait, can someone explain to me, how does the new galaxy created work in with the multiplayer aspect of the game?
No one cares about a fishing expedition lol
