It took me a while to figure it out, but what I love about this channel is that i feel like i am watching an underage kid drink like my grandfather. Great reviews man!
Both are fantastic, especially for the price. I can also find them with some effort, unlike so many others. As a guy who gravitates towards bourbon, the JD SBBP Rye is one of my very top pours at present. I am so glad to have backups for both!
I had both poured up and ready at the beginning to say the rye would win. After I watched your video, sipping with you, I have to agree, that bourbon is a real dandy! I'd forgotten how good it actually is! I will say that it depends on your palate for any particular day though. I've craved the rye more recently it seems. Great editorial!
Great accement on these two great whiskies. If you want to try something very interesting my I suggest the ASW Fiddler malted rye resurgence. It is the closest thing I d had that bridges the gap between American malted and scotch. It's only it's 43 abv and for a malted rye it's light I mean very light and refreshing this would be a great summer rye the more I drink it the more I'm really enjoying it. Enjoy!!
When I first bought the whiskey, I thought the same. All I tasted was charcoal. Now, I don’t taste that at all. Not sure if palette adapted to it or what but both of these are now my two go to barrel proofs

The price for both is ridiculous! Just picked up a Rye today and I was blown away by the flavors. Delicious!!!
Two of my absolute favorites. Picking up the heroes selection rye tomorrow! Can’t wait!

These are both so good, tough choice. No way I could decide, it’s which one I’m drinking at the moment
Great video! Well done

Both are great, just got 1 of each today. Like the rye a little better 👍😉
Great comparison. They are 2 of the best value Barrel Proof offerings, along with Elijah Craig and Larceny. I prefer the Bourbon, but like the Rye. 🥃
Just purchased the bourbon, freaking amazing, cannot find the rye, yet.
Tequila Mockingbird, I’ve paid attention to your collection that I’m just now seeing that after so many videos!
please combine both in one glass and let us know how that is
Nice review…. Maybe try a little blend of the two…. Curiosity…..👍
Im opposite of @JonBlankman I typically lean toward rye, but I prefer the JD SBBP whisky
The Rye is one of my favorites, but the Tennessee whiskey to me tastes like charcoal and kerosene. Cheers 🍻
Interesting. I really enjoy both. Maybe it's the single barrel effect and variation? Glad you like the rye! Cheers.

Y'all Crack me up with all of your imaginary flavors. You need to slow down on your drinking or something 😊😅😂
