I like that you’re incorporating a comparison of viewpoints on the cook. It’s similar to other channels so that the audience gets to hear different perspectives on good food. Kudos!
Tried this today. Grilled them indirect until 65C coretemp and seared them off. All on the KamadoJoe Jr. Worked like a charm! Eet smakelijk and keep on griling!
I made those sandwiches today for a bunch of friends. SO GOOD! The taste, the texture... It took me many hours of prep, not least because I baked my own Ciabatta and made my own mayo. But holy smokes, the result is just incredible.
Im from d Philppines and grilling/BBQ is my favorite thing. Thanks for sharing tips and idea my family and friends are loving it. I may not have the kind of grilling utensils you have, but able to find ways hahahaha Thanks
The best thing is that roel westra did ride the BBQ wave at the right moment in time. Thumbs up for doing so. Interesting to see how someone with a no-culinary background can build a little empire like this.
That's a great looking grill. I have something similar called a KUDU but I like this design better. On the KUDU you have to loosen a screw to adjust the cooking height and swing the cooking surface side to side. There is no option for rotating either. But it does have a bid ass cast iron pan that fits it nicely.
I have to watch a guy from The Netherlands, a country known for consuming bland, unexciting food, to educate me about barbecuing, a cooking technique supposedly invented in my own country of America. I love the internet!!!!
I have tried this. It’s amazing and it will work,” with several types of meat, normal grilling, rotisserie or low and slow . It’ll just give different amazing result .
I once claimed that you were creating meat art. This time, you've performed meat engineering. How this guy doesn't have 1 million subscribers is beyond me.
Watch some of his steak videos where he manages to overcook ribeyes and do some weird things with other amazing cuts of beef. After seeing those, you will understand why his subs haven’t hit 1 mil yet.....
@@bkb04g u know that it most of the time looks over cooked bc of the light. Thats probally the case. i havent watched allot but i think it just looks like that. Im not sure though

We braai all our meat like this in South Africa. Other countries think this is what a "barbecue" is - NO, this is a braai. Barbecue is basically cremation! Haha. The sandwich, we call a "Rooster Koek" Directly translated it is called a grill cake. Delicious! Great video by the way!
What a awssom idea the use of the pork like this and will try it at the next BBQ , saying that We in South Africa call this method BRAAI and do this method most saterday evenings and Sundays with family and friends even during the week any excuse to make a braai
I've been doing this for years. With a few differences. I use pork shoulder blade steaks. 1 inch thick. And no more than 6. Also I add 1/2 inch slices of granny Smith green apples between each steak. My rub is a bit different, due to the use of apples. I'll let you figure that out.
The Polar Grill looks great, In hyour previous video you cooked on it with a grate and stainless steel griddle. Did your grate come with it? I have the larger version in my cabin and want to get the accessories, but they are not listed on their website, so I wonder if they only came as a package
I do something similar that I call a meat stack. But I use different kinds of meat, like thin cut rib eyes, thin cut pork chops, thin cut chicken breast, whatever kinds of meat I can get. Stack them all together and roast them.
From watching you today I cooked hot dogs and bacon on the grill for lunch. A hot dog grilled with a bacon wrap is a new thing. For dinner I water smoked a pork shoulder for 5 hours. It was crispy outside and unbelievable tender inside It even made my wife happy 🤪
Oohhh! What a great idea! I will absolutely have to try that (try a cumin powder and mild chilly powder based rub) and the spectacular sandwich too. P.S. Even if it does not make sense Worcestershire Sauce is pronounced "Worcestershear Sauce" and then it is even fairly easy to pronounce 😄
I saw the video when you hung pork legs and basted them. Looked incredible! What model of grill are you using and what did you hang them from? Couldn't find anything under the accessories that looked like what you used. Thanks.

No, you want it covered loosely as you do not want it steaming which would happen if completely covered. Main reason for this is you will lose any wonderful crust (Maillard reaction=flavor) you may have developed on the meat.
Can you use the same style but with meats and spices like a Greek Gyro? I’ve only seen the processed kind at restaurants in America but I’ve always thought when I watch them cook I’ll pet store but it reminded me of a gyro. It seems like theThe idea is similar to cook it in layers to the spice gets into the meat. But I’ve never made Gyro meat before and really have no idea what it is. I think you’re right about the cheap meet as well. I have friends from India and a very traditional family and a lot of the stuff they taught me to cook was all about kind of fixing cheap meat by flavoring it and cooking it in ways that made it more palatable or just better. I was just imagining this with those pork chops sliced even thinner. Ugh. Now I’m hungry. Lol
How do you clean the bones off of meat I really like what we call, "franken ribs," but there are always bone chips as I'm eating. Some say to rinse in water. I don't like to lose flavor.

Really liking this grill... It would be the focal point of any small dinner party / BBQ....
Wood fire is the best.
Looks fantastic! Nothing adds flavor quite like an open fire... something about that smoke flavoring just makes it incredible.
Just tried this. Wow... used a rotisserie on a grill and it turned out perfect. Love your videos. Keep them coming. (USA / Las Vegas)
I have been following you for 1 year now and i learn a new thing every time iam from namibia Africa stay safe.
Very nice grill you have and the sandwiches look grate 😆👍🏻
So gonna try this over my back yard fire pit!!!

Drooling so hard its like my mouth is a faucet that was left running. Keep up the great videos!
This just gave me an idea for left over breaded and fried pork cutlets. Brioche bun, BBQ sauce, pickle and provolone cooked in the panini press.

No, you want it covered loosely as you do not want it steaming which would happen if completely covered. Main reason for this is you will lose any wonderful crust (Maillard reaction=flavor) you may have developed on the meat.
Nice job I think I might try this
Use a vacuum bag to marinade the meat. Vacuum packing will open the meat’s pores and will marinade more effectively
