    I just bought it, haven't got it yet. But I really wanted a travel guitar, the silent headphone function is really useful for me and I wanted one I could easily plug into my looper and mini amp to mess around with.

    Excellent and very fair review. Surprisingly credible tones, though obviously it benefits hugely from a little intelligent electronic assistance. Most of the criticisms of this instrument that I've seen have accused it of failing to do things it wasn't designed to do. And the price is fair.

    Hi, I bought the Guitar hush i😁😁 nice neck and very comfortable fretboard, but unfortunately I find it a bit hard on the production strings for me 🤨🤨 I hope that by changing the strings on the guitar it will be a little softer 👍👍

    What reverb plug in did you use? What Logic Pro signal chain and settings? That made a big difference in the perceived acoustic quality.

    • @MattKellyMusic

      Some of it was just DI. Others were the Amp Sims in Logic and some were from Neural DSP

    Great video. I just got the maple version. I’m having trouble with it though. I use it more for travel than practice, and I was hoping to use my Nux wireless with it. But it doesn’t seem to work. The Nux works fine with every other guitar I have but not this one.

      Sounds like the Nu-X may not like the piezo-only pickup: insufficient output, maybe?

    Few questions:
    1) Which body wood is that? Mahogany or Maple? I dig that shade.
    2) What's the scale length?
    3) Have you taken a set of calipers to the strings? What string gauge is it?
    Don't know why a guitar company would omit this type of information from their site.

      mahogany 25.5 and they ship with acoustic 10s but you can put whatever you want on them to be honest

      They're not a guitar company, they're a discount music company that produces decent stuff for very good prices. They could do a few things better, but I've bought a few things they produced any I am extremely happy with them.

      @@ConorLennon best way to describe it is that it’s quieter than a solid body electric when not plugged in. Like you can hear it but it won’t be that loud

      @@countrymonkOSB I only know OF it, don’t much about it. But for something like this, i’d go cheaper. don’t think it’ll make much a difference.

    • @pinin4rina
      @pinin4rina Год назад +3

      The big difference is that the Yamaha has the next features on board: tuner / reverb / connecties for an adapter / chorus. But that's the price difference. The sound of the Donner is quit good though and for one thing also: as a traveller's guitar, the Donner is even smaller

    • @chrisc9993
      @chrisc9993 Год назад +2

      Obviously it's going to make sound, likely the same sort of volume as playing an electric without an amp. But this isn't enough to bother people through walls and quiet enough not to cause too much bother in public places

    • @nickolasjackson4902
      @nickolasjackson4902 6 месяцев назад

      Hey! I just got this guitar, to answer your question yes the strings make a little sound but BARELY. They make just enough noise for a tuner to “hear” it’s if it’s directly next to the strings, but honestly not enough noise that someone a few feet from you would hear, let alone in the next room.

    Actually this is not easy for Beginner. A bus can drive under the strings out of the box. Strings are very stiff though it shipped with 10 gauge strings. perhaps proper setup and changing good strings might help. But it is good for travel. Tone wise , it is ok when using with pedals , but raw tone lack of body and real acoustic feeling. I would only rate this 5 out of 10 if you want to use in jamming session, but perfect for travel after proper setup.

    The silent part makes no sence because an electric guitar is as silent as it can be . This is only for traveling purposes

    • @DevitaAndriyani125
      @DevitaAndriyani125 7 месяцев назад +1

      You can use a silent guitar using headphones, so you can get a clear sound and not disturb other people.
      Other electric guitars are possible, but this guitar is practical without any additional equipment

    • @ea7651
      @ea7651 7 месяцев назад

      While electric guitars are meant to be amplified, hush guitars are intended to be played quietly, with or without amplification. Electric guitars use pickups to convert the vibrations of the strings into an electrical signal, which is then amplified and output through a speaker
