I gonna be back in Vietnam in December, which will be my fifth trip to Vietnam! I missed its delicious street food, I missed its spectacular scenery. I now understand why Anthony Bourdain (RIP) said, "Vietnam. It grabs you and doesn’t let go. Once you love it, you love it forever."
I did this journey, Saigon to Hanoi, back in 2012. I only had 3 weeks to do it and include Sa Pa and Ha Long Bay. I did it by bus and train. My first stop was Mui Né. It's worth visiting Mui Né fishing village early morning just after sunrise. The beach is full of women processing the product of the men's overnight fishing.
G'day David, enjoying seeing more of Vietnam in these vlogs and the food 💯👍, sweating it out there bro 😂😂, really appreciate how you are letting us know the Aussie prices 💯😎👍, looking for to the next vlog Cheers 🇦🇺🇻🇳🙏👍
I know we Americans legitimately have the "accent" compared to The Queens English but, it was nice to hear your speaking Viet clearly. The OZ accent is still funny to me EVEN THOUGH I have OZ friends.
Most Vietnamese in the states reject their language at a young age because they think it is fob. He speaks English very well, probably born in oz, not Vietnam. But he also speaks Vietnamese better than most vk.

When you’re in Da Lat the best Bahn Mi to try is in a bakery called Lien Hoa Bakery. It’s the one at 19 Ba Thang Hai, Phuong 1. They have foot long sandwich also. If you want good content!!!
Yum. Thks for sharing. I’m trying to learn vietnemese dishes to try…they didn’t give u rice paper to wrap the bahn xeo, is that typical at some places?
Not a fan of VK doing these because they come off obnoxious: khoa pug, vuong, Johnny drama.... But David, we need more like you. Good job. 👍 continue to speak both languages.
Interesting about Banh Mi. I served in VN for 30 months in the middle 60s, and often ate VN food but I do not recall ever buying banh mi. I often had a bowl of pho or the chicken soup variety from mobile roadside stands, but no banh mi. Did it get more popular after the war ended? One of my favorites is banh xeo, but now with only four teeth left, I would need to pack a pair of scissors to cut everything into tiny pieces.
Some people in Vietnam are so rude man. Went to Vietnam last year as a Viet kieu and some people are so rude. They stare without shame and when I asked for directions the lady just ignored me. They need to act like Thai people to attract more tourists.

At that last stop with the Banh Mi, my preference with my aged mouth lacking teeth would the bakery behind you.
Noodle soups were definitely more popular and readily available I’d say back then
Let's go Nam! 🇻🇳
Hey David.
I think she's old enough to be called " Co " since she's almost 3 decades older than you.
The delicious banh xeo meal was just $1.41 -- WOW! It would cost me at least $10 in the US.
Crazy rates!
