Mick seems to be one of the coolest rockers around, wish his condition was curable and he could have a better quality of life in his older years. He definitely earned it.
He's been living in pain for decades but kept playing. He a strong man, great at what he does. I would've quit years ago, no crue without him thought. The guys don't appreciate him as much as they should.

@@steveeckert8396 I'm a pretty pathetic guitarist but here goes. Tuning down a full step isn't drop D or open G. Drop D means the 5th and 6th strong when played together open sound a D chord. Open G is when the first 5 strings are played a G chord is sounded. Mick does what Van Halen, kiss, gnr etc does but he goes a half step further. So not drop D and not open G.
Mick. Guitar demon. Plays it like he traded his soul for the talent. So freaking tough. Talk about the most talented of his band. I will also admit he may look rough but his talent has aged like a fine wine. Vince on the other hand....
See what being a good guy gets you? This guy was the musical backbone of the band. Never known as a drugged out crazy rocker, just did his thing on stage and they just toss him out like trash. Old Neil was right when he said “it’s better to burn out than to fade away”. Sort of wish Motley and Kiss both would have called it in the early 90s.
Mick was the musical genius in the Crüe. He made the Motley sound and without him I believe that the rest of the boys would have never left the club scene.
It gave it that raunchy hardcore sound that I love I grew up listening to you guys in fact I saw you guys at the US festival in 83 yeah I was 11 years my dad was cool
I feel so much for Mick! Like him, I want to continue to rock, but having a lot of physical ailments making it impossible! It tears me up so much inside! Not saying I was on the same level, but just missing playing out on any level!

Lol I remember dropping our guitars down to C in our band for a couple of sets. We usually played in dropped D. I play in standard tuning these days. I got sick of always playing dropped tuning to be honest😂.

When you tune to open G the low E string is tuned to D so technically she is right. Keith typically left the low E string off the guitar
