Mick Mars is probably one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. No one will ever mention him in the same breath as Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix-yet the guy single-handedly defined guitar for an entire decade/generation. He’s an incredibly talented guy who provided this band’s signature sound.

His guitar tone sounds way cooler that’s for sure.
@@alfonsobonzo3782 ok bruh
No one will ever mention him in the same breath as Eric Clapton, or Jimi Hendrix, or any other truly great guitarist. 👍
Ill mention him, he deserves to be next to those guys for real
Mick Mars is actually probably the only reason Motley Crue went anywhere. A bit older, sure, more mature and kept them sort of on the straight and narrow but he brought musical maturity to the equation as well. I would say him and Vince Neil are probably the two biggest factors that helped them out at the beginning but Nikki Sixx's passion and determination didn't hurt and Tommy Lee is a monster on drums, we all know that.
Mick really is a great guitarist
They are all important.
They tried without one of them. Band was good, but spirit wasn't the same. It's wasn't MC anymore.
Edit : but oc, MM is defo a GIANT in the music world. An inspiration for generations.
And as a human too. He never gave up fighting, and is not waiting for things to happen (even if waiting works for some ppl too, but that's even more out of topic, so I gonna go now ^^)
@@GemPotagueule I thought the grunge era MC was good too but they shouldn't have called themselves MC. They should've called themselves something different, a different name for a different era, because honestly they sounded like a 90s band at that time. And I do love 90's rock I just cannot accept MC as being a part of that musical time period. To me they're 80's in the best way possible.

They sold because as I stated, in studio with the right engineering, they were good at what they did for the time. (hair metal)
But to say any of them were guitar gods or the like is insanity. And I watched to further verify that truth is all. Don't hate them; just don't care for them
@@commonsenseentertainment5487 You said that what Nikki played wasn't a bass line and that they suck. That's not the same as not caring for them also if you don't care for them why are you watching a video of them. I don't like modern pop like Ariana Grande and Katy Perry and I don't go on videos and comment on them because I don't care about them/don't like them. Yet here you are commenting on a band that you think suck. Also who said anything about guitar gods he just made a comment about that the rythm section sounded good which it did. For example I don't like Zara Larsson's music in general but there is no denying that she has a good voice. Same thing here: you may not like Motley Crue's music and the sound in general but there is no denying that they are professionals who can write music the resonates with millions of people.
@@elvis5138 Like I said, I watched to verify my suspicions; that they still suck live. I grew up with them, & agreed that they were good at what they did. And as to resonating with the masses; sex, drugs, & rock & roll will always do that. Lowest common denominator.
They were a good hair metal band with an ardent following. That's not saying much musically speaking, but monetarily, it's great. Don't like 'em, but can't deny their draw in the day.

you mean iced tea? they aint drinkin jack up there dude
Nobody For President I have hard time believing ur watching this if you think that’s iced tea. That’s montley fuckin crue man
@Hayden Williams you're right. it was VH that used iced tea.
Nobody For President that isn’t iced tea you dumbass
@Black Rifles Matter if its shaken like it was on stage it does get foamy
I just found this clip. I was at that show!! About 10 feet from the front, I couldnt make it all the way to the front bc it was SOOOO crazy and I am SOOOO short!!! (4'10"). Attempted to get on my 6'3" friends' shoulders but I could only make it to his back bc people were pushing so hard I thought I would fall off! Good times, cant wait til 2021 in Seattle!! Rock on!!!!
@Lone Tardigrade they will
Awesome. Will you please tell the haters/doubters that it was real Jack Daniels they were spraying on the crowd and then drinking? I saw another comment thread of some idiots thinking it was Iced Tea, as if Motley Crue in their prime, all coked up, couldn't handle downing half a bottle of Jack, lol.
@@DeathBringer769 it was iced tea. Its a van halen stage trick. Mick probably was downing booze though lmao
They matched the actor from the dirt to these guys so fucking well. Especially machine gun kelly for Tommy Lee they look so fuckin similar
You missed it obviously
Dear god no, it was actually pretty bad casting
He was the worst choice. The others nailed it. Mgk is a pussy and he trys too hard its like a gimmick. Tommy is way cooler
@@dx.feelgood5825 bruhh Watchu on the dirt had a good cast you prolly hatin cuz MGK in it lmao
@@firebeats9573 no, the casting was alright at best. MGK did have Tommy's rambunctiousness but that's all I can say.
Sebastian Stan in Pam and Tommy had him down better in my opinion.
Love this song so much! This version of it is great, it doesn't matter that he is missing words, its the spirit!
Man Tommy Lee is the man. Love watching these old live ones.
They had such success because they were all important and brought talents to the band.
Mick is a kick ass underrated guitarist
Tommy has that energetic drumming
Vince is a front man he entertains and used to sing pretty good (I can’t say much for now. I mean age and substance abuse changes you)
And Nikki played decent bass but was there to entertain and write kick ass lyrics
All together, one of the hottest rock bands in history.
starryeyes58 Nikki also wrote most of their songs and has a great stage presence
Always loved Nikki
they are the most talented band
@@my.melody.gamingg ha good one
Id sell my soul to be at this concert
Edit: a lot of keyboard warriors in this comment section 😂😂 people taking this too seriously its an expression
I was fortunate enough for them to be my first concert...crazy times!!!
@@jamiekohler9272 ive seen them twice but in the 2010’s they were amazing both times
Saw them twice, gooooooood times!
@@jamiekohler9272 was my first concert also
Ur dumb
Motley Crue is one of the best bands I have ever listened to, it will forever be my favorite and #1. I will forever be thankful that my dad raised me to them AND Metallica.
When I was a kid I wanted to grow up and be the guy who takes care of all the Jack Daniels... I'm a failure.
I'm sure it's already been said, and more than likely you were joking. Regardless have to give a shout out to Mr. Tim Luzzi, bass tech for Nikki. AKA - "jack-boy". Thank you Mr. Luzzi !
jack is better than the shit I drink lol... could have a bottle of "blended whiskey" lol
I like that that's funny
That place .
I prefer the supermarket brand cheap and nasty taste.
Tommy and Mick are the talent in this band.
Nikki wrote most of their material, which is surprising.
And Nikki
@@lyl3069 Nikki Suxx at bass, but he is a good songwriter.
Gotta hand it to Vince, his voice used to be amazing
Pretty much. But all together they made it something special
I was born in the 90s, so i'm much younger than a lot of the fans. But im so happy they were on another world tour this year and i had a chance to see them live! Sadly without mick, but was still amazing! 🤘🏼
What a raw fucking tone Mick has. So awesome. No bands today can get fucking wasted and play like this. We need more bands like Crue!
yes, I noticed that. raw rock n roll sound. He pretty much is the band's sound, along with Neil's crazy vocal styling. the drummer and bassist sound pretty simple and unimaginative.
Heroine and Jack Daniels... helluva combo
Spelled Heroin wrong and no it is a terrible combo!.
More like cocaine. Talk to anyone who drinks and does coke while partying and they'll tell you how you can drink like superman when snorting rails, lol.
Bro if he was on heroin he wouldn’t even be able to fuckin stand there
@@donkey9616 Not true!.. There's more to heroin than just being in a nod!.
@@DeathBringer769 I can vouch for that.
lmao... the 80's where boys were more pretty than girls
@11line true.
‘Just because we wear lipstick doesnt mean we cant kick your ass’
John garza hottopic loves people like you
Niagra Poosy ive never shopped at hot topic💀i was just saying one of their quotes, i shop at cavenders and places like that😹
@Kevin Prima hahahahaha...you nailed it man.... there were "pretty boy" glam metal bands in the 80s that definitely looked like women.... Motley Crue was not one of those bands.... they actually looked like really bad drag queens when they sprayed their hair up and put lipstick on..lol
That's how we kicked ass back in the day!! Love it!
One of the greatest partying bands of all-time!
You'll never see anything live this good in your entire life, remember that
Check out Tool
Phish
Well, if pink Floyd didn't disband I'd disagree with you but ah, here we are.
oh please
Slipknot
Man it saddens me that I never got a chance to see them live , I am 100% positive I started listening motley crue before I was able to crawl.
On their last tour I didn’t had any money neither did my dad , but now that I am financially stable and have a job I can only dream of getting to see them.
You gonna see them on the new tour?
@@admiralv3538 hopefully, I am currently in Mexico so if they come close being California or Texas I'll probably go and see them
Girls Girls Girls tour was KILLER show. BLAZING!
Down 1 bottle of anything except tea and you're NOT playing! You're NOT standing! I love y'all
Dam I remember this show so well. Concerts were much louder/ better back then
The fact that he did that without missing a beat on the drums
Really easy to do.
He did stop at about 5:45
@@MrSkinkarde I don’t see you as a successful musician so I guess it’s not that easy for you it’s also maybe because the fact that you bitch so much.
It was proven to be apple juice in the bottle
