Indeed, though I believe that that isn't going to bother too many people as it's pretty cold now, so I imagine most of the walkers won't be needing the train :-)
@ yeah agree luckily it will be done till the summer because i remember the parking fees being 10franks!! So good that it will have a train connection again.
Thank you Hugo for an extremely interesting video of a line I have only travelled on once, fifty years ago! The captions were extremely interesting. However, in a few cases I found that they were not on the screen long enough for me to properly study them. I had to stop the video and go back five seconds.
Hi Roger! Wow, that must be a big change for you, I mean different company, different trains and even the route was slightly different! Thank you for your feedback, if you have any specific moments you recall being too short, I can go back into the video and make them slightly longer ... it's hard to get the right timing on these things, but I'll try to keep improving :)
Many thanks, Hugo, this was a new area for me. (Was your camera on a gimbal as, on tight curves, the left-hand margin of view expanded or shrunk?) Not important, but I was curious. As ever, greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
You're very welcome as always! Unfortunately, it isn't a gimbal, it's a internal gyroscope that in sharp corners behaves like a gimbal and smoves the turn of the camera... it is a bit annoying, but smoothing is necessary to remove any rattling from the rails along the ride :) But thanks for your question ;)
My thoughts for this line - the last time I took it I found it quite frustrating how slow the speed of the line is. I felt even a tram is running faster…
It might be a bit faster nowadays, I wouldn't have said my impression of it is much different to the speed of the rest of S-Bahns in Zurich, but I can kinda see what you mean :)
@@alpha-lima-echo-x-ray - Danke für die Antwort. Da frag ich mich, werden die älteren Züge dann noch exportiert, oder verschrottet? Weisst du was darüber?
Hahahaha! I'm not sure, but I guess that there must be some kind of historical origin and of course it makes it stand out from the normal blue S-Bahns :)
So cool, ich fahre die Strecke jeden Tag. Danke für den Upload.
Sehr gerne!!😊😊 Ich hoffe es war dementsprechend nicht zu langweilig :)
For anyone wondering the line is shortened till sometime december due to work and will not operate to the station sihlwald

@@hugobazin8052 what a shame, having a connection towards Lucerne/Zug would be nice though.

I'm glad you liked it Ken!😊😊

Grazie mille!

Do the local citizens mind having their train route painted bright orange?

Is SZU stadtbahn Zürich ?
It stands for "Sihltal-Zurich-Uetliberg-Bahn" but their two lines are integrated into the Zurich S-Bahn branding and operation
