No job is easy or glamorous. Developer now for 25 years. No complaints. I love the good and the bad. I can't be a carpenter or actor, or accountant. I'm good at it. So I'll happily take the good and the bad until I can't do it any more. There is no new computer language out there that doesn't remind me of something else I've touched in the past. Once you have mastered the basics of programming and have decent comms skills and you love the challenges, what's there to be down about?
Software dev/engineering is an opportunity to get paid to learn a skill that you can then literally create entire companies with. Don’t get discouraged! Learn for the rest of your life!
