When I go visit Cuba to see my grandmother and some of my relatives I will ask around and see if I can get an army uniform I showed this video to my dad who served during the 1990s he said the only thing that was inaccurate was the magazine pouch he said during his time Hungarian type 3 vinyl magazine pouches we're quite popular and he said that sometimes a bag that was used to carry rations which is the most similar thing I found with a Chinese type 65 army bag my dad said that people would take their AK magazine pouches and just dump them in there and have two of those bags one for food and one for the magazine patches and a canteen and that's how they would go on patrol
Also the gas masks that are issued to soldiers are gp5 gas mask not the Soviet ones the later ones that they manufactured during the '90s which are black and come in a green bag those are for soldiers and for civil defense gp4 gas mask was used which is a green mask with a hose attached to it and a big brown filter that looks like a coffee can those came in brown bags The gp4 Masks are not used anymore has civil defense training stopped being done years ago my dad later worked at the airport and he said that all the masks ended up in a warehouse in the airport all in the bags just piled on top of each other in an old Warehouse in the Jose Marti International Airport
@@name.....835 olive green uniforms like the one he has are relatively easy to get become friends with some Cuban people or find some Cuban people ask them if they have any relatives on the island give them some money and ask that you want a uniform from the FAR those are the olive green uniforms police uniforms on the other hand those are quite hard to get. As I'm pretty sure if you're not a cop owning them is illegal the way I got my uniform was one of my relatives to talk to an officer in the Cuban Army we gave him some money and he gladly bought me a brand new uniform from the military shop. BTW the uniforms are made out of polyester that's why they're kind of shiny. As well sizes tend to run small and these fit differently than us fatigues us uniforms are usually worn very baggy in these uniforms are pretty tight
Hi. I still have the lower part of my canteen. I was in the Army (Prevention Troops) during 1987-1989. We were trained in the Mountain range of Pinar del río province during three months in hard conditions ( Cacho Camp). I was license for an accidental injured in 1989 but keep in the Army as a student in order to get the university studies (Orden 18 ). Greetings. Good job.

Hi there I live in Cuba, and a served in the Army, the uniform do you show, about the MTT (Milicias de Tropas Territoriales, is in blue shirt and green trousers, but, the EJT, (Ejército Juvenil del Trabajo) was in the same Bastion 2016 Curious, you don't talk about the Cuba military experience in Africa, in Angola, they use a uniform called FAPLA, with the same pattern of the Brigada de la Frontera, but in Ethiopia, they used Afganka and other soviet uniforms for dessert Good video
Newest version of Cuban army pants do not have waist tightening straps do not have front waste pockets and no back pockets only Pockets present on the pants are two cargo pockets

I like the emphasis you put on cantines. They are such an often overlooked, yet important piece of equipment.

There are two types of people: those who want to understand you, and those who want not to understand you.
First type understood what I meant to say.
