There are a bunch of patterns in this fight that can be done in a much easier way btw. You can freely dash through the red boxes, the spinning feathers can be trivialized by just dashing diagonally, you can dash through the meteor flash with the correct timing, and you can still dodge even if you are a bit off with the timing on the claws if you dash vertically.
This run has major inconsistencies all over, it looks like botted gameplay. Constant jittering, completely unoptimal movement, insane amounts of inputs within a fraction of a second and just straight up Inhuman dodges. Most obvious giveaways were 1:41, 6:43 and 7:50.

Yeah this looks cheated. Straight up unbelievable gameplay, and I dont mean that as a compliment, I mean that this bossfight is *LITERALLY cheated* in one way or another. *All of the inconsistencies listed below:* 0:31, I mean come on, that is not even close to a consistent strategy here. You did INSANELY precise frame-perfect inputs here, leads me to believe it's tool assisted. 0:51, You literally have to stay in the bottom middle with very minimal movement to dodge that whole attack, why are you jittering all over the place? 1:48 And 3:12, The most consistent way to avoid of that attack is *dashing to the bottom-right corner,* where her wing attack wont even reach you, yet you do the most inconsistent dodges I've seen? They aren't even the SAME? 2:24, You're just playing as if this was your first fight. 3:03, Nobody can jitter between feathers with *SUCH precision,* that looks like botted or slowed down gameplay. 6:30, Dodging meteor crash attacks require only a dash, this should be used as a free damage turn with minimal dashes but I could let it slide. 7:43, I wont even consider these dodges fair in the *SLIGHTEST,* not only is your startegy inconsistent as hell, *those dodges are INHUMAN.* 8:12 - 8:15, (Slow this clip down) You didnt even use a dash to dodge the feather wave, you just perfectly positioned yourself in between the feathers? *And this happens consistently ALL OVER this bossfight, like **0:31** I've mentioned before.* You can see jittery movement all over this gameplay, multiple insane precise movements within a fraction of a second which are extremely difficult to execute for even a highly skilled player. *Tool assist AI tends to do the EXACT same thing* when given no restriction to do so, watch some of the dodges at 0.25x speed. Movements are just way too absurdly precise. It's not luck, *this is Cheated.* It's like you barely even tried to hide it. Sure it may look legit to the naked eye, but it takes the first minute to spot some major inconsistancies here. I'm 99.99% certain.
The biggest problem I have is the begining itself. The music is active while Marlet does her "introduction scream". This means that *This is not a retry-run.* You can't convince me that this guy goes back to the UG apartment savepoint and watches the cutscene every time they fail the run (when they can just select retry and instantly restart the fight). No one does that.
@@RealSilGaming Possibly TAS. I don't think anyone would go trough the effort of adding in sounds here. The jittering could be explained too, AI tends to use a lot of inputs in a short period when given no restriction to do so. I'm personally 99% certain it's cheated though, there were no consistent tactics used here which gave it away in the first minute for me.
Ok but dashing to avoid the martlet swipe down attack is incredibly consistent, I don't know why you said it's incredibly inconsistent. Yeah the other stuff is obviously cheated and the fact that they didn't choose the easier option is a red flag, but saying that way of dodging is inconsistent is just plain wrong
How in the actual- How did- I don’t even know what to say. I legitimately figured a no hit would be impossible by human means, and my god do I stand corrected. I’m utterly speechless, and I pray your sanity returns. Edit: Upon further inspection with slowing down the run and further examining how certain attacks were dodged, I retract my compliments above. This is most likely a TAS. Especially with the whole bunch of jittery movements throughout.
@@tyree403 definitely very tight timing, I would still miss it at times when I got it down. But dodging 3 single hits is still the easiest the fight has to offer. I always charged immediately, shit down the first one, and dodged the other three explosions while lazering the rest of them time and did a ton of damage
yeah! i was also really surprised by him actually using the directional arrows and shooting the stars at 7:40. I always just focused fired on Martlet and baited stars into blowing up on me but dashing through the explosion to get rid of them for free. Much better and easier than dealing with 20 mini stars.
I've been working on trying to no-hit this boss myself and was looking to see if there were any strategies you used to help make certain attacks more consistent. However, as I analyzed the footage more, some of the strategies you use are shockingly inconsistent. For example, take a look at 0:32 where you weave in between 2 pairs of feathers in a row with no kind of setup to make it consistent. With your strategy from 2:24 to 2:27, you can just stay in the right lane but you constantly move left/right to go back towards the center for no reason. This strikes me as odd since you should be familiar with the attacks. I could give more examples but these inconsistent strategies happen throughout the entire fight. I encourage other viewers to take a look for themselves and compare these strategies with those used by other skilled players. TL;DR I'm very confident this was created by slowing down the game with Cheat Engine.
I think it's fairly obvious this is cheated. The amount of times he dodges the feather cones by going between the feathers is ridiculous for a single attack, let alone an entire no-hit run. It would take somebody maybe 30 minutes of using that control scheme to understand that the way he moves is unnatural and incompatible with the speed the game is played at. He also never dashes through the red blocks in any of the later cube gauntlets and instead opts for incredibly precise and risky movements.
@@eragons1894 I've done this boss before and there is no doubt in my mind some cheats are being used. At some parts of the fight there are places you can stand in to avoid damage easily yet for some reason he chooses to weave through extremely tight patterns, no sane nohitter would do this on a boss like this
me when acting is just flavor text and the fight is not friendly for average players "ermm but it's genocide!!!" so are you saying less skilled people should be gatekept an entire different ending or what
I had to hyper analyze frame by frame some of these. The positioning you chose for some of the fanning feathers is insane, and required planning to make some of those dodges work. I also didn't realize you could normal move to avoid claws in downward direction. I always thought it had to be up and away. I always ran out of room moving up doing it. I generally expected the rest, I had managed taking no hits sometimes on most of the patterns outside of some of the worst non scripted ones in phase 2. But I considered the wind and falling objects one to just be so much bullshit any run involving it was a wash. When I saw that come up in a "no hit" vid I lost my shit. The fact you freaking navigated that whole thing proved this video is no fluke, because I think no bullet pattern in the whole fight is harder to not get hit on than that. Also bonus points for navigating the blocks in all the phase 2 parts normally and not dodging to make your own path. I am sure that just made it more consistent, but holy hell that had to be HARD to learn them all.
@@vasthyperman I don't know how you can be certain something is tas. I mean I believe you, I just wouldn't be able to determine that by slow watching this. I did inspect single frames to see how it lined up dodges for specific patterns though.
@@nickfarace9339 It's obvious mostly by an insane amount of inputs done in a fraction of a second. You could look at some unrelated No-Hits on YT, pretty confident the jittering wouldn't exist.
I wanted to go through the entire game without taking damage, but when I saw the final boss I was a little... confused and changed my mind. And then you get through the final boss without taking any damage, it’s just amazing
Really makes you appreciate the design of Sans fight. Martlet felt like one of those crappy custom OC bullet hell bosses. The patterns are an absolute vomit of projectiles flying faster than most people can even react. The fight goes on forever. Too many attacks rely on unresponsive clanky dash and its limited s. Awful, just awful.
@@foppypoof5195It’s also supposed to make you want to quit your genocide run. And honestly, based off of all the comments I’ve read, I think it succeeds at that in spades.
@@arthurfilion5992absolutely not. Unlike Undertale, the genocide route here does not serve as commentary about how a player is willing to squeeze everything out just to find out what would happen.

This is so obviously botted, especially at 3:00. What the fuck is that jittering? Edit: I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this was obviously cheated when I first saw this video.
Okay... the game definitely needs some balancing to say the least. I REALLY enjoyed a pacifist playthrough, both because of the story, and because bosses seemed harder compared to Undertale but still (mostly) balanced and creative (except Ceroba in pacifist, which suffers from similar issue as this boss, but not on this extreme level). Bosses in Genocide though? Yea, not so fun anymore, and not because the game makes you feel bad about killing everything in your path. The writing itself in Genocide was still pretty damn good, but the bosses just rely too much on RNG. I'd say Genocide Ceroba fight was still good, although the orange/blue attack explosions should either have better indication or get nerfed in my opinion. Yeah, they aren't randomized so you can memorize the patterns, but it still seems unfair, if you don't know exactly what's coming, you will get damaged, because you simply don't get enough reaction time to work with. Oh, also same goes for the white beam attacks. If you're not constantly on the move, and you don't expect them to pop up, you will get caught by them no matter what. Axis was just very annoying for me, and after around 10 attempts i just decided to cheese the fight by outhealing him until the end, since the fight itself is pretty short. My issue here were mostly the bombs being unpredictable when multiple come at you at once, the turret attack in small box (tbf i still have no clue how it works), and last attack which is just straight up unfair. And this? Yea uh, i'm still stuck at Martlet boss fight. It's literally the definition of "random bullshit go!". Pretty much no attack here seems consistent, everything is just WAY too chaotic, attacks often overlap, giving you no way of avoiding them, most attacks give you almost no time to react and most of all, the fight is LONG, which i wouldn't mind at all, if it was actually balanced. I understand that UTY is supposed to be a step up in difficulty compared to UT, but this is a whole staircase of a difference! I've read bunch of comments, saying that the boss IS supposed to be unfair, and make you want to quit genocide, and well... no, i don't really agree. I do agree that it should be brutally difficult, but it should also be a fair fight, which you could get consistent at after some time. I just hope the devs actually make this fight bearable (and hopefully fun to grind) in the future. Can't wait to get comments like "skill issue", "get good" and "you just suck at the game". Just to quickly answer those beforehand, yeah, I'm definitely no expert at this, but I've also done a fair share of fan made boss fight harder than Sans, and some of them actually accomplished being harder while also being fair and depending more on skill rather than luck. Don't know who even bothered reading all that, but i applaud you. Have a nice day yall. (oh yea, also many people pointed that out, but the no-hit from video itself was almost definitely cheated. The movements seem way too sketchy).
This is actually so untrue martlet is completely fair except that one attack she has thats completely random you can dodge every attack very consistently both sans and martlet are fair they are similar in that they only feel overwhelming at first but now I can consistently get to martlets phase 2 without healing. Genuinely just keep trying martlet you will get it 100 percent I thought it was random and bullshit at first too good luck
which would probably end in them being sent either to jail if their story was believed or to an insany asylum if it wasn't yeahhh maybe not the best idea
H O W 7:53 Ah ok that was the shield , i thought it'd be impossible otherwise 9:08 I always wondered what happens if you spare her there. I only got that once while fighting her and my game crashed..
That wasn't the shield. If you dash during a boxwide flash attack, you can dodge it. This is usually done on the meteors, since when they hit the bottom they cause a boxwide flash that you can pretty easily dodge through, but these stars are different, only causing this flash of damage when you touch them. This means if you touch one and input a dash almost immediately afterwards the star's explosion will go off, but you'll have immunity frames during it. Because you can't trigger a star while dodging, this is FAR harder than doing it with a meteor. I think it's either frame perfect (1/30 of a second window) or two frame perfect (1/15 of a second window).
@@lefthandedscout9923 Thank you for the explanation. I never could get it done on that attack or one of the meteor phases so i thought it'd be impossible whithout 2 shield uses which we don't have. Apparently it's just really really hard
Holy crap, what an utterly ridiculous feat! And the attack in phase 1 where she swoops into the screen from the background... YOU DASHED THROUGH HER??? AND STILL NO-HIT THE FIGHT??? You can just sit in the bottom left of the screen and chill for that move, but you stood exactly where she'll come in and used that precise-ass dodge to avoid the hit on the exact moment she was actually in the battle box rather than behind it? You didn't just no-hit the fight, you absolutely styled on Zenith. Oh my god; hats off to you good sir, amazing freakin video!!!
The worst boss I've ever had to fight in any UT or UT related content, absolute, pure, bs, chaos and a bunch of stuff just thrown at you with no coherence.
i really like this boss but i think the box-metaton sections where you have to shoot and dash your way through could use some work, they feel really clunky especially cause you can't do a neutral dash/parry. Usually youll end up dashing into the next boxes or you dash backwards and end up hitting the box.
Just beat martlet on genocide after 3 whole hours and took a lot of damage during the fight ( along with dying at the final hit ) but respect to you for NO HITTING martlet

Grass is a type of plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. Their appearance as a common plant was in the mid-Cretaceous period. There are 12,000 species now. A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in places such as lawns and parks. Grass is usually the color green. That is because they are wind-pollinated rather than insect-pollinated, so they do not have to attract insects. Green is the best colour for photosynthesis. Grasslands such as savannah and prairie where grasses are dominant cover 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, except Greenland and Antarctica. Grasses are monocotyledon herbaceous plants. They include the "grass" of the family Poaceae, which are called grass by ordinary people. This family is also called the Gramineae, and includes some of the sedges (Cyperaceae) and the rushes (Juncaceae). These three families are not very closely related, though all of them belong to clades in the order Poales. 8:12 - 8:15, (Slow this clip down) You didnt even use a dash to dodge the feather wave, you just perfectly positioned yourself in between the feathers? *And this happens consistently ALL OVER this bossfight, like **0:31** I've mentioned before.*
You can see jittery movement all over this gameplay, multiple insane precise movements within a fraction of a second which are extremely difficult to execute for even a highly skilled player.

If you time your dash you can actually dodge the meteor's explosion
The preferred method IMO. Charge and fire 3 lazers while just dodging the flash and that is the freest pattern in the whole fight.
What? You can? I tried using the dash to dodge the meteor's explosion. It must require very specific timing, right?
@@tyree403yeah the timing's weird. i had to dash a little bit earlier than i was expecting, but it's possible to dodge it!

@@Sawgmastre69It is kinda weird that he sometimes doesn’t dash through the feather spread attacks he kinda just weaves in between them
Hes also not using autofire which means he'd have to constantly be pressing z and that takes alot of focus away

Okay... the game definitely needs some balancing to say the least.

I always wondered what happens if you spare her there. I only got that once while fighting her and my game crashed..
that just means she has 1 hit left before death. you can’t spare her
That wasn't the shield.
@@lefthandedscout9923
