Undertale Yellow - ALL GENOCIDE BOSSES [NO HIT]
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 20 май 2024
- It's finally done! I did No Hit of all Genocide bosses! There are fewer new/changed bosses on genocide than on pacifist, but it's much more difficult!
I skipped Decibat and Dalv because they have no changes and the first boss that has changes is Martlet first encounter. This battle wasn't that difficult and it was balanced enough.
El Bailador was easier, we just didn't dance with him, but I added it because it's a changed boss.
Ceroba is a problem already and I have spent about 6 hours on it. This is the only difficult boss that is not very annoying.
The next boss is Axis, for me he was not so difficult, but annoying. I didn't understand the final attack and I had to look at strat from the video by Dracibatic.
And the final boss - Martlet. It's just a terrible experience. I spent about 19 hours on both phases. Of course, I did these phases separately. For me, phase 2 was more difficult because I didn't even understand 2 attacks and I was lucky that I didn't get those attacks in this attempt. But I spent more attempts on phase 1 for some reason. Btw yes, I used auto-fire, because I definitely wouldn't have made this No Hit without it. I needed to focus on dodging, not shooting, so it helped a lot.
0:00 - Martlet (first encounter)
4:05 - El Bailador
7:01 - Ceroba
13:04 - Axis
16:31 - Martlet (Final boss with checkpoint)

Imagine being martlet in this situation, you are prepping yourself to fight someone who has done nothing but killing off your kind, you wanting to avenge everyone who has died in their path take a drug that makes you more powerful than ever, and then not even being able to hit them once, thats just tragic
That’s going in clovers cringe comp

Man. El Bailador’s fight hurts for me. Imagine being so full of passion and joy, seeing someone so devoid of it and trying to spread it, only to in turn be attacked. Bailador might not even realize that it’s because Clover was genocidal, they honestly might think that their most treasured hobby was just THAT repulsive. That makes the way he accepts it that much more heart-wrenching. He just… dies, thinking that the last thing he ever did was annoying someone instead of managing to spread joy.
I never encountered him during my genocide

Dude, that 8-year-old boy literally represents justice, which also makes him represent the gun, Clover's signature weapon, and although the gun does not do extremely strong damage in the game, it is because it is nerfed in the game, to be sure. balanced and so that so much destruction is not caused.
와 겁나 없어 보여...
i kinda like how "monster" and "human" switches meanings in the Underground. We humans call bad people "monsters" - though with how Martlet speaks, Monsters call bad people "humans."
Nah, based on the original game nobody recognizes geno-frisk as a human because they expect some level of empathy from a human. Few people actually hate humans, many are simply curious. Instead, they're all confused about what exactly geno-frisk... is. Sans says "my brother would really like to see a human... so you'd really help me out... if you kept pretending to be one".
Undyne says "Human... no, WHATEVER you are ..."
Even right at the end, asgore says "Er... what kind of monster are you?" I guess arguably Clover here isn't a complete maniac, only attacking and hunting down those who pose a threat, but still.
@@gianni50725Clover didn't commit genocide for no reason, Clover wanted Justice or revenge for the dead humans.

Looking back at it, I think it's a shame they didn't tweak the actual stats of bosses like in Undertale for the genocide route (like Undyne having negative defense but 80k hp). Dealing constant 60 damage despite better weapons and massive LOVE improvements feels weird.
I think it sort of makes lore sense, I mean, Flowey did say that Clover was very weak. They struggled with regular Undertale enemies, which is why Flowey made them take another path, one where the enemies were weaker. That's probably why the hits do 60 damage even when you're level 20.

This is a really good idea of how to do Martlet without getting hit. There are a lot of strategies that, with some knowledge of how the fight works, will really help you get this done. It will still be very hard, of course, but this is a hella good start.
Narratively, I think the no mercy route is much more compelling than the pacifist route. It just.. it goes about its pacing a lot better, it actually looks into Clover and their character, it just feels so well-constructed in comparison. The pacifist route had a HUGE problem with pacing. It drops 90% of the lore on you in the last, what? 40 minutes? Sure, the pacifist route has more opportunity for character interaction, but the no mercy route is just.. a better story.
This is in stark contrast to the original Undertale, which had a no mercy route that -- while being amazing metacommentary -- was specifically designed to make you sick and tired of it.
*_*Huge ice cream truck about to fall on me*_* THIS DOESN'T MAKE IT A BETTER OR WORSE GAME! I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS INTERESTING!!!
Eh... It's a mixed bag. Martlet obviously gets her time to shine here and Axis gets a different side to him. Dalv's story is marginally more compelling on Genocide, but it's underdeveloped either way. But Starlo and Ceroba both appear just to die quickly, even if the latter has a hard fight. There's also never any narrative reason given as for why the fight is so different from Pacifist (specifically on why she doesn't use the mask and where the red max HP draining attacks come from).
Incorrect; I'd beg to differ. Yes, it drops huge lore on you in the final 40 minutes, or whatever. But the characters are super underdeveloped. And anyone should know that.
Both routes have their story elements to them. But you'd never say that about Undertale, right? No, because Toby Fox made a masterpiece. Let me tell you, the pacifist route in this game is nearly the same as it is Undertale. Same with the genocide route.
@@marzolaxo2456 I disagree! The thematic purposes to both games are very different. Of course the way they're written would be different as well. I don't see why that has to be a bad thing..? UTY just has different strengths.
@funnylittlecreature The thematic purposes of both games are very different; neither game is better or worse, they are equally the same.
Undertale's genocide route gives you lore that the pacifist route didn't, same as Undertale Yellow. Undertale Genocide gave you little to no lore about what you were doing until Flowey's bombshell right before the fight with Sans.
Pacifist also manages to look into Clover's character; EVEN NEUTRAL does the same. Genocide is just... Genocide isn't Justice, it's Vengeance. Clover is the soul of Justice, not Vengeance.
The problem with the pacing in pacifist to me is that the story stops being clovers and starts becoming ceroba’s like half way through pacifist. Starlo is sharing his spotlight with ceroba and his gang, while axis just feels like a way to further develop ceroba then it’s own character. Martlet is good in pacifist and neutral, and dalv is under developed in all of them, but then again so is toriel to an extent, dalv is just worse. Genocide kinda fixes the issues with ceroba by killing her off really quick, giving axis it’s own time to shine as it’s own character. Starlo still gets shafted though. Martlet is get in genocide though. Unlike undertale though, yellow makes neutral it’s own route rather than budget pacifist, with it’s own final boss and killing off character being more impactful. In UT, neutral is just pacifist without the postgame, no true lab or asriel. In yellow, the entire steamworks section will be different (and better) without ceroba, and a unique final boss that’s neutral exclusive. Neutral is the best paced of the three because the story remains clovers while still getting some fun character interactions.
I like how in Undertale Yellow genocide everyone ACTUALLY dies instead of Undertale where the amalgamates and Alphys survive Frisk's genocide by hiding

I have so much respect for you, seriously 🙏
Something people dont talk about enough in undertale yellow, is the sheer difference between frisk/chara and clover. Super martlet and ceroba are so hard in genocide for clover they make undyne and sans looks like a joke, yet in reality they only have 1850+850 hp and 1000 hp respectively. Genocide frisk would have literally cut through both of them just as easily as mettaton neo by the time they cleared out waterfall which I suppose is a way to explain in canon why they dont show up to stop frisks rampage, but you are not frisk, even going on an all out killing spree clover isnt able to muster nearly the power to deal out the insane amount of damage frisk/chara can, which makes these battles all the more interesting. That being said It would have been honestly really neat to see a confrontation between MTT Neo and clover, since he would have actually been able to probably fight the way he was meant to instead of dying instantly lol, same goes for undyne as well but ofc as shown in the flashback flowey purposefully keeps clover away from waterfall simply cuz she curbstomped them too many times before.
I think this might be because clover isn't as murderous as you are in undertale. Clover seems to need a reason, doesn't have to be a good one but it needs to be a reason
Im sorry but this is BS. Zenith martlet took me like 30 minutes for first phase and maybe at MOST an hour for phase two while for sans it took me so much time i literally reset to train for his fight.

Zenith means the peak of something, so I'm assuiming it means its the zenith of power
zenith means "the high point", it comes from astronomy but is sometimes used to describe something powerful/strong

Here’s a tip for skipping text: instead of pressing Z then X, simply hit Right Shift and Enter at the same time. They’re right next to each other and they’re both big keys, so you can basically just slap them with your whole hand over and over. This not only skips text faster, but also prevents you from wearing out your fingers. This is especially helpful against Genocide Martlet, Pacifist Ceroba, and Flowey, since you actively need to use Z and X in those fights to shoot and dash.
Hope this helps. Discovered this trick while repeatedly dying to Ceroba in Pacifist, since every time I died she would yap for waaay too long.

Quick question about (2nd phase of) the final boss for the g route... can you kill the enemy during their own attack with your yellow soul shots or do you have to survive that entire final attack and THEN use the fight button one last time in order to win like you do in this video?
Asking because I'm trying my darndest to finish this battle in the 1.0.0 patch of the game and I would have to rethink my whole strategy in order to win if you need to survive that long-ass move...
I've only got one heal in this part of the fight (though it is the f1 cupcake luckily), so if you do have to survive that entire thing then I'd probably play the fight much safer / slower so I can try to wait for the heal until right then at the last turn.
I've gotten to that final attack a few times but only with like 40 hp remaining; and honestly I've never survived even half way through it so far, so i did NOT know it was so long until looking for a no-hit to look for some strategy tips... kinda got me a lil scared since after 6 hours of grind+ I might have only REALLY gotten halfway through this if I need to live that much longer aha
I heard someone say you HAVE to use the fight button, the mid enemy attack is only to lower the health. I’m not sure if this is true though since I didn’t play the game, and am just quoting someone else tho.
She'll stay at 1 HP until you fight her.
Massive fucking achievement..seriously thought it couldn't be done.
Btw Martlet booster herself because she used vial with extracted determination and she melted because she used too much of it like alphys used it on some monsters and they turned into amalgames
She used the integrity serum that Ceroba made
She never met Ceroba in geno, and the serum was used on Kanoko
The cutscenes shows her entering true lab, so it's probably determination
She was lucky she died before turning into an amalgamate ngl
In the Ceroba fight on phase 2 how does the hp decrease work? Is it touching the edges of the box, or is it taking to much damage?

And in genocide guess what? We talk more with ourselves and martlet
Will you please give advice about using the W. revolver? I'm having trouble using it.
I don't even know. It's like the first weapon, but you have several shots instead of one, nothing hard...
this music about the Zenth Martlet phase 1 in Undertale Yellow
I... feel so hilarius and sad, and ansiety watching the bailador battle in this route... is weird
Wait which weapon are you using for Cebora? I cannot find that one 😅 (I'm stuck with Cebora xd)
It's the flint. You find it on a black rock at the entrance of the mines.
You need to check a black stone in a room where one monster is running towards you
Thanks to both of you I think that now I can handle it >:3
@@PhilAndMind I'm currently using that one but it's still difficult.

Man i can't pass Martlet final boss even with easy mode enabled... Y'all have any tips? I feel like my dash is also useless since it barely helps me, it's useless doing a dash when her moves cover the whole map
When it looks like a bunch of stuff is on the screen you just have to focus and have a somewhat decent understanding of what's going on whether it's the feathers with those small circles, the talons or the yellow wings. For the feathers, just avoid the small circles and dodge in the direction they shoot at you, for the talons you can dodge straight up and down, and for the wings you can get away with auto firing and staying in the middle where the mini feathers don't hit you. When she flies away, dash in and out of the corner when she uses the attack with the spiraling feathers, which will help you dodge those talons as well. I've also learned that more often than not the talons have a rhythm somewhat, so if you pay attention to when you're dodging you'll eventually get the hang of it. Phase 2 is considerably easier (in my opinion, but it was probably because I memorized the patterns at that point) and you can spam endure as much as you want considering the Fight option only really matters once she's too low to get any lower.
Overall, it's trial and error and once you figure out the patterns you'll eventually get better at it. Getting to phase 2 was a breath of fresh air in my opinion because I found it to be way easier and it only took me like 30 mins (compared to the days it took phase 1) and I did it with only 2 cupcakes. I'd only use them if my HP was seriously low (typically 15 or lower) but any higher and endure did the trick.
I think you should change the videos thumbnaik because it spoils all of geno route bosses

If you about the fight Martlet what happens if you spare them instead of fighting on genocide
Wait, i never fought El Bailador in my genocide playthrough, why? Did i do something wrong? Or
Perhaps
I did it right?
It's because you killed everyone before El Bailador
@@moroz549 so basically Nabstablook moment
Bro, at Martlet as final boss I didn't even know that you can use this big laser attack. I just shooted her with small bullets
P.S.(Sorry for my English if it has mistakes)
El Bailador never showed up in my genocide run, i went all the way to zenith martlet without seeing him once
Dear monsterkind, you say that justice is on your side, yet I have not suffered a scratch from your attacks. Curious.
wait, its possible to fight el bailador in genocide? when i watched my brother do it, he just kinda, wasn't there
I'm confused. I'm doing a genocide run, but when I got to the place where I was supposed to fight El Bailador, he didn't show up. Am I doing something wrong? Flowey after that just hit me with the ellipses.
It's possible to get the "But nobody came" text before El Bailador meaning you don't necessarily have to do him for genocide
Thanks, time to reset so I can murder him in cold blood@@TheLichKing829
You can tell whether or not you’re still on Genocide by looking at Clover’s face.
if u kill everybody before getting to el bailador (getting but nobody came popping up), you skip the fight, and where he is supposed to jump up it just plays a sound effect and clover says "..."
i didnt fight baliador on my genocide run he never showed up but i still got the genocide ending is he a secret fight in genocide?
Nah just dont get "but nobody came" before his fight
