Like Gintama, Well Gintama's MC Gintoki has the same VA as the Mannequin spirit, Taro. The legendary VA's name is Sugita. This is the second time they did a reference to Gintama indirectly. First was seen when Momo's grandma, Seiko, was using those red eyemasks with the open eyes on it. Just like the one used by Okito from Gintama.
To be honest, Jiji's arc is HUGE, the longest in the manga up until that point. It would take half of the second season to just finish it, and then it links with the next arc, which is one of my favorites. I'm guessing that one will go all the way to the finale of s2.
Chapters-wise it’s long but if we look at page count it’s about the same as the first arc. I imagine it will be 4 episodes to cover it like the turbo granny arc.

I got the feeling that Granny was hyping up Momo's "love" for Jiji when they were kids. It seems pretty one-sided based on the little bit of actual flashback we got. He pretty clearly bullied her because he liked her, though there isn't much evidence one way or the other for me to make a final decision on how she viewed him when they were kids.
when i read the manga like 2-3 years ago and i am caught up in the manga i can give some reasons why i like it so much : first is no matter what the latest chapter is on mangaplus app every monday at 9 pm and it have such peak art the anime just simplified the details. second is its fucking weird like i can throw this shit in like 15 different genre and somehow it will feel right every chapter is so random and weird but somehow it all comes together perfectly. not to mention how good and unique every character is and there personality. the latest arc which ended was some jumanji or zathura kinda shit its weird that the strongest character in the whole universe is fucking steve from minecraft and strongest on earth is the famous kuchisakeonna the urban legend with slip mouth . lol
I saw in a reference video that Jiji is basically copying the tagline and mannerism of a popular Japanese comedian from around the 2000's. It's a type of guy who are flashy and easy going. Honestly no one can get between Momo and Ken except eachother and their over thinking minds.
