I love how Ron addressed the comments' frustration with Michelle after her quick decision to drop Okarun for Jiji. He pointed out that it wasn’t as simple as Michelle made it seem and highlighted the complexity of Okarun and Momo’s relationship. Behind all the chaos in this story, it’s ultimately a slow-burn love story about two kids struggling to express their feelings for each other.
Even thought Momo and Okarun haven’t been together that long, I do agree they had a lifetime of experiences together… - alien abduction, curses, near death experiences, and they pretty much seen each other in their birthday suits… multiple times…. 😂😂😂😂. 15:40 there's a special reason I love this episode and this chapter in the manga. Right when Okarun gets swarmed with doubt and insecurity, the universe literally forces them into a goose chase. It's fitting that the dude they were chasing is the complete opposite of Okarun at this point in the story. Someone so determined to express his love, that he would stop at NOTHING to do it. Through this, the universe is screaming at Okarun that he shouldn't give up and that he HAS to tell Momo how he feels, no matter the cost. I've been trying to understand why I like this story so much, but it's moments like these that make Dandadan's story feel so good to experience.
